His hand lifted unconsciously, slowly falling onto Ling Chuxia’s face, his movents were gentle and soft, lightly touching her cheek.
The corners of her eyes still bore traces of undried tears, which he carefully wiped away again.

His thin lips parted slowly, uttering these two words with a touch of reprimand but filled mainly with compassion.
If he had discovered nothing, how long would Ling Chuxia plan to keep it from him? How long would she struggle with guilt and entanglent?

Shi Che’s dark pupils fixed on her face. After a while, he leaned down slowly, his thin lips planting a light kiss on hers.

When Ling Chuxia awoke, Shi Che was already gone. She instinctively reached out beside her, feeling the coolness of the bedsheet under her palm, indicating Shi Che had been gone for so ti.
Previously, she would almost always wake up with Shi Che and have breakfast together before seeing him out the door. Why didn’t he wake her today?
But it was just as well that he didn’t wake her because she still didn’t know how to face Shi Che.
Just thinking about being unable to get pregnant, Ling Chuxia’s mood plumted to its lowest point. She got up with a heavy heart and went to the bathroom to wash up, not even in the mood to care for her skin, and then headed downstairs out of the bedroom.

Ling Chuxia, filled with curiosity, continued down step by step towards the kitchen. And just as she reached the doorway, her eyes caught sight of a figure inside, and she ca to a sudden stop, frozen in place.
The man she had thought had left for work was actually in the kitchen, making... breakfast.
Ling Chuxia’s strikingly clear eyes widened with bafflent, "Shi, Shi Che, what are you doing here?"
At this ti, he should have already left for work.
Hearing her question, Shi Che found it amusing. His dark eyes glanced over at her with a hint of teasing in his voice, "I’m in my own house, why’d you ask what I’m doing here?"
Caught by Shi Che’s response, Ling Chuxia realized her blunder and quickly corrected herself, "I an, why haven’t you gone to work? And, you making breakfast is..."
It felt sowhat unbelievable.
This ti Shi Che didn’t reply to Ling Chuxia but simply stated, "Breakfast will be ready soon, go wait outside."
Ling Chuxia, full of confusion, saw that Shi Che wouldn’t speak and continued to focus solely on preparing breakfast. Unable to question further, she pouted her lips slightly but didn’t turn to leave. Instead, she said, "Let help you."
