He never refused any of Ling Chuxia’s requests; he always indulged and spoiled her, even if it ant cooking for her, he would never say no. So he could make so basic als, but he had never cooked porridge before, resulting in several failed attempts earlier.

Shi Che walked out of the kitchen, looked at the ss before him, suppressed his discouragent, and started cooking the rice for porridge again. This ti, he strictly followed the steps taught by Sister Hua. About forty minutes later, the porridge in the pot was boiling. Shi Che glanced at it, and it finally looked decent.

He waited for the porridge to boil for a little while before turning off the heat, took a bowl from the cabinet, and ladled out so porridge, then walked back to the room.

Ling Chuxia was lying quietly on the bed, her eyes slightly closed, as if she had fallen asleep again. Shi Che unconsciously lightened his steps, sat down by the bed, and his dark eyes gently landed on Ling Chuxia’s face.

Her cheeks were still flushed, and cold sweat continuously seeped from her forehead. Having slept for just a while, her body was already drenched in sweat.

Shi Che placed the bowl of porridge on the bedside table, picked up a towel again, and slowly wiped the sweat from Ling Chuxia’s forehead, then down to her neck and collarbone. His movents were so gentle, almost imperceptible, with no trace of improper thoughts, focused solely on wiping her sweat.

After finishing, he touched Ling Chuxia’s forehead again with his hand, feeling that although the temperature under his palm had decreased slightly, it was still hot. He frowned slightly.

After retracting his hand, he did not imdiately wake Ling Chuxia. Instead, he picked up the bowl of porridge, which was still very hot freshly cooked, steaming. Holding the bowl in one hand and a spoon in the other, he scooped up so porridge and gently blew on it, trying to cool it down quickly.

As he blew on it, his dark eyes were fixed on Ling Chuxia, whenever she felt too hot and involuntarily pulled off so of the covers, he would swiftly free one hand and pull the covers back over her.

About ten minutes later, the porridge was no longer so hot. Shi Che scooped a small spoonful, touched it to his lips to ensure it was the right temperature to eat. Then, he set the porridge down, looked at Ling Chuxia, and spoke softly, "Chuxia, wake up."

Ling Chuxia was sleeping deeply; he called her several tis, but she showed little response. Shi Che’s hand involuntarily caressed her face, gently patting, continuing to call, "Chuxia, wake up!"

Ling Chuxia vaguely heard soone calling her. However, feeling ill and uncomfortable, she didn’t want to respond to the voice. Her eyebrows furrowed, her head turned slightly, unconsciously resisting.

Under normal circumstances, perhaps Shi Che would not insist on her getting up, but today, she hadn’t eaten all day. Now, she must eat sothing; otherwise, her body couldn’t withstand it.

"Chuxia, wake up, have so porridge then go back to sleep."

Ling Chuxia found the voice by her ear particularly annoying; her brows tightened further, she turned her body and directly rolled over, turning her back towards Shi Che.

Seeing Ling Chuxia’s childish gesture, Shi Che couldn’t help but find it a bit amusing. It had been a long ti... had she ever acted like this in front of him before? A slight curve appeared unbidden at the corners of his lips, and even his dark eyes softened.
