Stepping out onto the balcony, the cool breeze of the evening fluttered Shi Che’s shirt. He leaned gently against the railing, his dark eyes casually sweeping over to the side.
The balcony next to his belonged to the house where Ling Chuxia lived. To his surprise, as his gaze swept across, he saw Ling Chuxia squatting there.
She was still dressed in a simple shirt and jeans, clearly having just returned from work. She was slightly turned away, and he could only see her profile. The setting sun cast a warm yellow afterglow that illuminated her face, highlighting a warm hue.
She was attentively caring for the champagne roses he had given her, holding a pair of small scissors for delicate pruning and watering. Each movent was so gentle, so serene that it soothed Shi Che’s initially restless heart little by little.
He had once loved her playful, mischievous deanor, and now, he also loved this tranquil and gentle beauty of hers.
Every aspect of her could touch his heart effortlessly. He could hear his heartbeat, thudding heavily against his chest, filled with intense palpitations.
Watching her cherish the flowers he had given her, ripples stirred in the depths of his eyes, and without realizing it, a sense of gentleness enveloped him, soft like the breeze, gentle as water.
Perhaps his gaze was too intense, for Ling Chuxia seed to sense sothing and involuntarily raised her head, glancing towards Shi Che’s direction.
Shi Che felt a hitch in his chest and quickly stepped back into the room. By the ti Ling Chuxia looked over, all she saw was a fleeting shadow. She knitted her brows slightly—was that... the new neighbor next door?
Had soone moved in so soon?
What kind of person would the new neighbor be?
Ling Chuxia instinctively stood up and took a few steps towards that direction, glancing over, yet she could only see the curtains swaying on the other side, and the vague silhouette of soone standing behind them. Unable to see clearly, Ling Chuxia gave up after a couple of looks.
Next ti there’s a chance to et, she would properly greet them. After all, as neighbors, it was good to get to know each other.
Ling Chuxia saw that the rose bushes were well-tended, watered them with a sprinkling can, and then walked back inside.
It wasn’t until she had entered her ho that Shi Che moved quietly, his tall figure straight and distinguished. He stood there silently, his dark eyes fixed on her balcony, watching the fleeting movents of Ling Chuxia’s figure, a soft light in his eyes.
Just... when would he be able to appear before her openly?

Ling Chuxia returned to her apartnt, washed her face, poured a glass of boiled water, and brought it over to the sofa. When she picked up her phone to check the ti, she discovered a text ssage from the delivery guy that she hadn’t noticed before.
Her hand, holding the glass of water, paused abruptly. She put down the glass and imdiately opened the ssage.
As expected, the delivery guy had sent her the contact information of the mystery admirer who had been sending her flowers. Only... it wasn’t a phone number, but a WeChat account.
Ling Chuxia’s eyes flickered as she looked at the WeChat ID. Normally, isn’t a phone number given? Why had they given a WeChat account instead? However... having it was better than nothing.
Ling Chuxia didn’t think too much about it. She copied the WeChat ID and opened her own WeChat app. She wasn’t very familiar with WeChat, having only gotten it for work after moving here. She fumbled around for a while before managing to add the person. Then she waited for the request to be accepted.
