Chuxia had thought that when Shi Che called her Miss Ling, it ant they had tacitly agreed not to expose each other’s identities. However, she hadn’t expected him to suddenly drop such a remark. What did he an by that?
Chuxia’s heart trembled fiercely, and the palm Shi Che was holding began to sweat profusely.
She tried to curve her lips into a smile, squeezing out a trace of cheerfulness while keeping her tongue from tying up. She responded word by word, "President Shi really jokes, how could I possibly know President Shi? This is our first eting."
As soon as Chuxia finished speaking, she felt the hand that held hers tighten abruptly, the grip on her hand softening into a mild ache.
Chuxia bore the pain, maintaining the smile on her face, not daring to let any discomfort show.
"Our first eting?"
Shi Che’s dark eyes fixated on her, murmuring these five words. A turbulent darkness whirled in the depths of his eyes, engulfing him with an extre chill.

He violently released Chuxia’s hand, his expression returning to his usual indifference, but the depths of his eyes grew even darker. He sneered coldly, "Indeed, Miss Ling naturally wouldn’t recognize ."
Chuxia lowered her eyelids, her hand stiffening as it slowly curled up into a fist.
After all, Manager Chen had been in the business world for many years, and climbing to his current position ant he had beco an expert at reading people’s expressions and behavior.
There was sothing odd about the interaction between Chuxia and Shi Che. Although she didn’t understand what was happening between the two, she knew it had to be complicated. Thinking it over, a gleam slowly erged in the depths of her eyes.
"President Shi, don’t stand, please take a seat." While speaking, Manager Chen walked over and pulled out the chair next to Ling Chuxia, gesturing for Shi Che to sit.
Shi Che glanced at Manager Chen, but his gaze involuntarily shifted back to Chuxia. Seeing Manager Chen’s gesture, her body seed to shudder. A naless anger surged within him, and then, he sat down right beside Chuxia.
Chuxia hadn’t expected Shi Che to actually take the seat beside her. Her feet subconsciously moved to shuffle away, but Manager Chen turned around and laid his hands on her shoulders, firmly pressing her back into her seat. He then told everyone, "Please, take your seats, everyone."
Manager Chen’s hands seed to rest lightly on Chuxia’s shoulders, but she could feel the considerable force in his grip, so strong she couldn’t break free, being pushed down into her seat.
The others, hearing the manager’s words, naturally took their seats one by one.
Once everyone was seated, Manager Chen turned his head to a waiter nearby and said, "The dishes can be served now." Then, turning back with a smile on his face, he said to Chuxia, "Since you are sitting next to President Shi, you’ll be responsible for taking care of him during the al, okay?"
Chuxia wished she could be as far from Shi Che as possible, how could she even think about caring for him during the al? She instinctively began to say, "Manager, I..."
But Manager Chen didn’t give her a chance to speak, cutting her off and instructing, "Chuxia, pour a cup of tea for President Shi."
Chuxia’s delicate brows furrowed. She wanted to say sothing more, but Manager Chen’s gaze swept over her coldly, full of warning.
