Ling Chuxia watched as Shi Che’s face suddenly changed, and a sense of foreboding surged inside her. She couldn’t help but ask, "What’s wrong?" After a thought, her eyes widened slightly. "Is it Madam...?"
The sound of Ling Chuxia’s voice snapped Shi Che back to reality. His dark eyes grew intense as he nodded and said with an unusually heavy voice, "Yes, Mom fainted all of a sudden, and she’s in a critical condition now..."

Shi Che humd deeply, let go of Ling Chuxia’s hand, and turned towards the door. Ling Chuxia stood there dazed, watching his retreating figure, tears slowly welling up in her eyes.
But just as Shi Che reached the door, his footsteps abruptly halted. Then he turned around and strode back towards her.
Ling Chuxia had no ti to hold back her tears when Shi Che walked back to her. He grasped her arms with both hands, his black eyes lowered, fixed firmly on her face.
His voice was low and heavy, yet he enunciated every word, "Chuxia, wait for ."
Ling Chuxia’s body trembled involuntarily, her dark eyes staring blankly at him. Her long eyelashes were damp with tears, making her look pitiful.
Sothing shook Shi Che’s heart, tugging at it fiercely. He took a deep breath and continued, "I have sothing to tell you. Wait for , wait for to co back, okay?"
She knew very well that so things should not be anticipated, that so emotions should not be allowed to stir. Otherwise, one careless move might result in an injury all over again, falling into an abyss of no return.
Yet, at this mont, when Ling Chuxia looked into Shi Che’s black eyes, as deep and dark as ever, she found herself powerless to refuse.
Her head nodded uncontrollably.
The mont she nodded, a smile hooked at the corner of Shi Che’s lips, a handso face briefly lit with amusent. Then quickly, he turned and strode away.
Ling Chuxia stood rooted to the spot for a long, long ti before finally coming to her senses. Shi Che had actually... asked her to wait for him? What... what exactly did he want to say to her?
