Chapter 974: 303. Inside-outside collaboration

“Professor, I would like to make a trip to Eternal Lightning Ravine.”

Inside Professor Erica’s study room.

Noland Lee’s consciousness descended upon a new Illusion Body.

A magic robe with three white lines at the collar draped over the Illusion Body, signifying that Noland had been promoted to a Third-Ring Wizard.

“I have an agreent with Elental Judgent’s Mabel. While she researches the Lightning Phantom, I will provide her with so assistance in the realm of Death Magic.”

Noland did not conceal this matter.

...

With a Magic Contract as assurance, as long as he did not divulge the unique magical knowledge of the ‘Silent Maiden’ while providing help, he would not be violating any laws, nor would he be punished by the professor.

In the contract between Noland and Mabel, he would create a Death Magic Device capable of transforming a Wraith Spirit into a Spectral Ghost.

Noland took out the blueprint for this magical device and handed it to Professor Erica for inspection, proving his actions would not harm the ‘Silent Maiden’.

Professor Erica trusted Noland’s character but was worried about the dire environnt of the Eternal Lightning Ravine.

“Have you looked into the situation at Eternal Lightning Ravine, Jarvis?” Erica asked while using [Mage’s Hand] to search through the magic books on the bookshelf.

“In the letter Mabel sent , there were several attachnts, including the power dynamics there.”

Noland replied:

“Just from the information she provided, it’s true that Eternal Lightning Ravine is quite chaotic, with frequent conflicts between wizard forces.”

The Eternal Lightning Ravine has three advantages:

The abundance of thunder and lightning energy.

The multitude of Lightning Phantoms.

Good magic modification effects.

The concentration of thunder and lightning energy there is more than five tis that of other places, making it extrely efficient for Thunder Wizards to collect thunder and lightning energy.

Although Lightning Phantoms are hostile and extraordinary creatures, with brutal natures and strong strength, they cannot resist the fact that they are laden with treasures.

The primary material for Thunder and Lightning Magic Gemstones, which are used to store thunder and lightning energy, “Thunder Crystal Core,” is taken from Lightning Phantoms.

Unlike Magic Stones, which can be reused, Magic Gemstones are one-ti items that decrease in number with each use.

They can store 1 million points of magical energy, which is 100 tis that of high-concentration Magic Stones.

While demand is strong, supply is sowhat limited, which has led to the extraordinarily high prices of Thunder and Lightning Magic Gemstones.

Accordingly, hunting Lightning Phantoms has beco a lucrative business.

As for the so-called “good magic modification effects,” that refers to “Enchanted Effects.”

Where Lightning Phantoms gather, Thunder Pools filled with liquid lightning will erge.

Throwing various magic materials into the Thunder Pool will allow for enchanting the materials there.

Usually, the enchanting effects involve “recording random thunder and lightning spells,” “enhancing resistance to thunder and lightning energy,” “improving the efficiency of thunder and lightning energy conduction,” and so on.

These three specialties have directly led to the crowding around the Eternal Lightning Ravine.

The information provided by Mabel outlined the power dynamics there for Noland.

The Eternal Lightning Ravine itself is a deep ravine located below sea level.

It is covered by thunderstorms throughout the year above, preventing wizards from directly descending into the ravine through flight.

There are a total of six safe roads leading into the ravine, each situated around six different locations of the ravine.

The Wizard Advancent Association owns one of them, reserved for wizard forces undertaking Research Tasks.

The ownership of the other five roads changes hands often, controlled by the victorious side of wizard duels.

Aside from these six safe roads, there are also several dangerous paths that can nonetheless lead into the ravine.

With the Wizard Advancent Association taking care of things, one would think Mabel could rest easy in the Eternal Lightning Ravine, right?

No, no, no.

It’s not that simple.

Among wizards, strength speaks louder than words, especially when a location is filled with temptations.

The Wizard Advancent Association granted Mabel research privileges, but whether she could hold on to those privileges was up to her.

To assist Mabel in completing her Research Task, Elental Judgent assigned two Eighth Circle Combat Wizards to stand by her side.

Noland felt that this defense was still not enough.

He planned to go to Mabel as a Hired Wizard to lend weight to her presence.

Of course, he was now a Third-Ring Wizard.

A Third-Ring Wizard going to back up Elental Judgent was sowhat amusing.

However, Noland didn’t care, since it was just an excuse to cover up his collaboration with Mabel anyway.

Noland presented all the information he knew and his plans fully to Professor Erica.

“Jarvis, your plan and the information you have are both fine,” Erica opened a magic book bound with Letter Paper and pushed it toward Noland:

“Let add a few points for you. It mainly concerns the law enforcent records of the Silent Witch. What you see now is the Law Enforcent Log of the Silent Witch near the Eternal Lightning Ravine. It will help you understand the styles and thods of those wizard forces.”

“Okay, Professor,” Noland glanced at the contents of the book and nodded in thanks:

“Thank you for your help, these law enforcent logs are very useful to . I plan to contact the Silent Witch near the Eternal Lightning Ravine and ask her to act as my Transfer Beacon to assist in opening a Teleportation Gate.”

Erica smiled, her eyes curving like crescents:

“Glad I could help. If you get the chance, help out the Silent Witch there too.”

“No problem,” Noland paused before adding:

“By the way, Professor, has there been any new extraterrestrial space pollution that has landed on Ground Level lately? I’m referring to the kind that can cause a kingdom-level extraordinary phenonon, or a Pollution Zone that triggers turmoil.”
