Chapter 919: 287. Soul Awakening
Noland Lee had arranged the necessary preparations before leaving Island No. 33.
Obtaining the non-tallic ore distribution map and accumulating Energy Points could be done simultaneously.
Noland Lee planned to spend a month passively deconstructing the sea area, collecting Energy Points, and obtaining the non-tallic mineral distribution map of the Archipelago.
His targets for Passive Deconstruction included the Treasure Sea, the Great Sea, the Starfall Sea, and the Blackfold Sea.
These four vast and dangerous deep-sea regions were located to the north, east, south, and west of the Suman Archipelago, respectively.
With his prior experience in passively deconstructing four sub-sea areas at once, the subsequent deconstruction work would only beco smoother.
...
In an ideal situation, after a month, Noland Lee would not only have an explosive amount of Energy Points in his reserves, but he would also possess the non-tallic ore distribution maps for several hundred isles.
The second task that must be arranged before leaving was none other than the security of Island No. 33.
Noland Lee assigned tasks to Selena and Nolin, respectively.
Until she was relieved of her duties as Deputy Principal, Selena was still an employee of her father.
Her father asked her to keep her distance from Noland Lee.
No problem.
Noland Lee simply told Selena not to co to Island No. 33 for the next half year.
But just because she wouldn’t be there didn’t an she couldn’t look after the place.
Noland Lee had already arranged a complete set of all-encompassing, no-blind-spot “surveillance positions” on Island No. 33.
The “surveillance positions” consisted of 100-level “Tracking Marks.”
Noland Lee activated “Mind Infusion” and shared these “Tracking Marks,” intended for surveillance, with both Nolin and Selena.
Simultaneously, he used his Enchantnt Learning to create several Magic Rings, which he handed over to Selena for use.
These Magic Rings were enchanted with “Mind View,” “ntal Shield,” “Mind Induction,” “Mind Capture,” and “Perception Enhancent.”
All of these magical runes, personally enchanted by Noland Lee, were Level 55.
This was the highest level of magical runes he could enchant when his level in Enchantnt Learning was Level 55.
With these Magic Rings, Selena, who was in the Academy Castle, could remotely guard Island No. 33.
Noland Lee was also not worried about her misusing these ntal Magic spells.
For one thing, the soul contract constrained her behavior.
Secondly, Selena herself had several “Tracking Marks” placed on her by Noland Lee.
Not only her, but Nolin, the Snow-winged Cat, and the soul of Nicolette in the Soul Stone had all been marked with “Tracking Marks” by him.
Apart from Nicolette who passively received the “Tracking Marks,” Nolin, Selena, and the Snow-winged Cat had all willingly accepted them, and Noland Lee did not force them.
The task Noland Lee assigned to Nolin was related to “Planting Bombs” and “Creating chanos.”
The “guardians” of Island No. 33 were not the usual magic servants and puppets used by wizards.
It was the chanos that were the island’s faithful protectors.
Fixed chanism Spirits that could not move; Patrolling chanism Spirits that could move back and forth; Invisible chanism Spirits in an Invisibility Status; Floating chanism Spirits that soared through the sky; and Hidden chanism Spirits concealed within the walls and floors…
And so on and so forth.
Whichever places needed guarding, Noland Lee had designed corresponding chanos for them.
The combat capabilities of these chanos were only equivalent to wizards between the first and third levels.
However, they excelled in being nurous, not fearing attrition, and having an extrely high threat potential for self-destruction.
Each chanism Spirit had a Capacitor Pack, which could store 100,000 Points of Lightning Energy.
If it turned out that an enemy was too difficult to eliminate or stop, Nolin would control the chanos to initiate a self-destructive attack.
The only regret was that controlling these chanos relied on ntal Magic.
If the invaders possessed Breaking Law abilities, or used items with “Soul Stagnation” effects, then both the chanos and Nolin would be rendered paralyzed.
For this reason, Noland Lee assigned Nolin a long-term task:
To find a way to control the chanos using computational power rather than ntal Magic.
Once this task was completed, chanos controlled by the computational power of an alchemy array would no longer be paralyzed due to Noland Lee or Nolin losing their ability to cast ntal Magic Spells.
After Noland Lee finished arranging all matters, Selena stood up to leave Island No. 33.
Before she left, she threw Noland Lee a sowhat dissatisfied look and intentionally emphasized her words, saying,
“This ti I was too dizzy to cast a spell to check for injuries. Don’t think about pretending to be sick in front of next ti.”
“Yes, yes, I was wrong,” Noland Lee repeatedly nodded:
“I promise there won’t be a next ti.”
“Hmph, I won’t hold this against you considering you had a point this ti,” Selena dropped the line and left through the main door of the study room without exiting through the window again.
As Noland Lee saw her off, he watched her leave the island.
Bending down to pick up the Snow-winged Cat, Noland Lee stroked the cat while seeking Denise Green.
Midway up the staircase, he accessed the Deconstruction Results for Selena to review.
The mory Fragnts of Selena now included the content of her argunt with Lonco.
About an hour ago, she hastily used the Flight Spell and “Water Walking Technique” to rush to the Starfall Sea.
She originally planned to go to Subsea No.13 to find Lonco’s whereabouts.
But while she was passing through Subsea Area No.18 from north to south, she spotted Lonco on the Sea Surface, dragging dark clouds with him.
A few Magic Lock Chains extended from his left forearm, binding a dark cloud about one ter in diater.
The thunder and lightning inside this miniaturized dark cloud occasionally revealed Electric Snakes, clearly summoned by Noland Lee.
Looking again at Lonco holding the dark cloud, he was conversing with a mysterious person in an Invisibility Status.
