Chapter 813: 257. Ironclad Evidence of the Hidden Chamber 3
This little thing resembled a miniaturized drilling car.
The drill bit, forged from high-performance magic alloy, had been enchanted with multiple effects by Noland Lee, enough to break through the hard underground rock layers.
Noland nad it the Drilling chanical Spirit.
He placed it on the ground, activated the array with “Mind Control,” and watched as the Drilling chanical Spirit burrowed into the ground level.
To see the outside of the hidden chamber more clearly, Noland equipped this little device with a luminescent array.
When it reached about one ter above the hidden chamber, Noland activated the luminescent array, and in the well-lit field of magic vision, he continued to control the chanical spirit to drill downward.
After drilling down another ter, with a slurping sound, the drill bit found empty space, leaving a round entrance on the floor.
Water-blue energy radiance scattered out from the entrance, falling into Noland’s magic vision.
Looking through the entrance, Noland saw a layer of energy mbrane constructed from deep sea magic power.
Behind the energy mbrane was a hard magic tal wall.
“Sure enough, I didn’t find the wrong place. The energy mbrane is an energy barrier shaped by deep sea magic, and the magic tal wall is the wall of the hidden chamber. Now, I’m about to face the most difficult step.”
Noland did not control the chanical spirit to drill through the energy mbrane and the tal wall; instead, he took out several more Drilling chanical Spirits and placed them on the floor.
In total, eight Drilling chanical Spirits worked tirelessly for over half an hour, creating a vertical shaft for Noland that led straight down to the energy mbrane.
Noland cast “Death Flight” and flew down to the bottom of the vertical shaft.
Breaking through the floor with the circular hole beneath his feet would allow him to directly touch the hidden chamber’s energy barrier.
Noland stored the Drilling chanical Spirits and took out the “Sword of Silence” and a Silent Magic Stone.
He extracted the mana from the magic stone and infused it into the “Sword of Silence.”
As a grey, murky radiance lit up on the blade, Noland, without a word, aid the sword tip at the breach beneath his feet and thrust down.
“Crack, crack…”
The sword blade slid along the edge of the hole and fully penetrated the entrance.
The “Sword of Silence” pierced through the water-blue energy barrier and the magic tal wall in a single stroke.
Noland withdrew the sword blade and threw a “Tracking Mark” into the breach in the tal wall.
What followed unfolded extrely quickly, not totaling more than two seconds!
Leveraging the mory fragnts of Sidney Palmida, Noland quickly understood the layout beyond the tal wall.
He threw a “Mind View” towards the “Tracking Mark” behind the wall and saw a narrow but luxuriously tiled corridor.
A series of “Tracking Marks” were thrown, with one “Mind View” after another rapidly shifting the viewpoint, causing Noland’s magic vision to flicker quickly.
In just one second, he saw the spacious grand hall featuring the floating miniature ocean.
The illusion avatar of Sidney Palmida was lifelike, even the two little tufts of his mustache had been replicated to perfection.
The mont the energy mbrane and the magic tal wall were cut open by the “Sword of Silence,” an array inside the grand hall, indicating an anomaly in the outer protective circle, lit up.
This array was now emitting a yellow warning light.
When Noland observed the illusion avatar through his magic vision, it was just startled awake by the light from the array, snapping out of its standby state with eyes closed.
The illusion avatar glanced at the array emitting the yellow light with a blank expression and tiled its head. It then closed its eyes as if nothing had happened and returned to its standby state.
It was as though it had been awakened by a nightmare only to find everything was just a dream.
The illusion avatar of Sidney Palmida was a high-quality item.
Not only could it carry the consciousness of its original, but it also possessed a slight amount of intelligence, able to flexibly assess the situation in the hidden chamber.
Noland used “sense tampering” at the very first mont to interfere with its judgnt.
The array, still flashing yellow in its eyes, now appeared as an unlit, all-is-well array.
Seeing his operation succeed, Noland couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, although he remained vigilant.
“Sense tampering” had limited ti.
Additionally, casting this spell repeatedly on a target in a short period of ti would significantly reduce the duration of subsequent “sense tampering.”
All things considered, Noland Lee could only use “sense tampering” to stabilize the Illusion Avatar for 3 minutes.
Once the 3 minutes were up, the Illusion Avatar would beco immune to “sense tampering” for 5 minutes.
Only after the 5-minute immunity period had passed could Noland Lee’s “sense tampering” take effect on the Illusion Avatar again.
“I need to hurry up…”
Noland Lee cald his breath, clenched his fist, and smashed it onto the fragile floor.
The floor cracked, rocks flew in all directions, splattering on the walls of the vertical shaft.
After dozens of punches in succession, the entire ground was broken open by Noland Lee.
He drew the “Sword of Silence,” imbued with silent power, and stabbed the blade into the energy mbrane beneath his feet.
With a swipe of his arm, the gray blade cut through the energy mbrane and the tal wall as easily as slicing through tofu,
creating a round opening in front of Noland Lee.
He employed “Death Flight,” zipping into the opening with a swift sound, zigzagging through the narrow corridor in strange postures.
Now moving in a straight line, now taking a sharp turn suddenly, now gaining altitude before diving rapidly.
He was performing a high difficulty level of flight acrobatics.
It was as if so transparent, invisible thing was blocking his way.
In reality, this was Noland Lee avoiding the magic traps and chanisms within the Hidden Chamber.
The corridor, lavish in its decor and covered in gilt ceramic tiles, appeared empty, but had already been filled with traps and chanisms by the cunning Sidney Palmida.
Before setting out on this mission, Noland Lee had morized the layout of all traps and chanisms in his mind.
But things weren’t that simple.
Sidney Palmida, that marvellously devious old man, had also placed magic chanisms that moved around.
While maintaining invisibility, these would patrol the entire Hidden Chamber.
Even if Noland Lee rembered the patrol routes of the invisible chanisms, accidents could still happen.
But that didn’t matter; he had the Deconstruction Technique.
While performing flying stunts, Noland Lee scattered the Deconstruction Technique in every direction and quickly located the position of the invisible patrolling chanism.
In one third of a second, he sketched a viable flight path in his mind, and then like a twisting and turning lightning bolt, he drew a black, distorted trajectory, successfully bypassing the invisible patrolling chanism and entering the spacious Grand Hall where the Illusion Avatar was located.
Scanning the area, more than a dozen miniature oceans shimring with water light hovered a few ters above the floor.
Expensive silver lamps illuminated every corner of the room.
Every Storage Shelf, every space behind a tal Gate, every locked tal box was filled with Sidney Palmida’s Treasure, Collection, magic books…
And, Sidney’s evidence of guilt.
Sidney Palmida had placed his ditation Storage Box here, right under the Bed where the Illusion Avatar lay.
The elixirs and ditation books required for practicing the Deep Sea Scales ditation were all behind the heaviest tal door.
Should Noland Lee start looting the place now?
No.
Noland Lee’s mouth curved into a smile as he grabbed the Illusion Avatar, slipping the tal box from beneath it into the pocket of his Magic Robe.
Dragging the bewildered Illusion Avatar, he dived into one of the miniature oceans.
The surface of the miniature ocean enveloped both Noland and the Illusion Avatar.
The radiance that signaled the initiation of teleportation flashed within the miniature ocean.
In the Hidden Chamber of Sidney Palmida, there were no longer any signs of Noland Lee or the Illusion Avatar.
