If they could get help from rfolk underwater, the Deep Sea Branch would be much more at ease when facing sea monsters and Dread Sail wizards.
The problem is that rfolk don’t want to deal with humans.
Selena said that based on the clues provided by Vivian, the Deep Sea Branch found the exact location of the Deep River Tribe.
The Deep River Tribe’s base is protected by a magic barrier, which cannot be detected from beyond the barrier, nor can anyone see inside the barrier.

“I want to see Loymin.” Noland said to Selena in her study:
“Loymin is the leader of those aliens, a woman, and she’s also the captain of the disc-shaped ship. When Comini and I were guarding the negotiation site on board, I saw Loymin and her crew mbers. We might be able to find a way to deal with underwater creatures in the aliens’ realm of knowledge.”
“Loymin…” Selena repeated the awkward na and associated it with the female alien with a wide forehead and receding hairline:
“Hmm, I know who you’re talking about. Loymin and her crew are now being imprisoned in cells at the Wizard Enforcent Departnt’s Headquarters. They must cooperate in researching alien ships for Ulnas Circle in order to obtain limited freedom and necessities. If you want to see her…”
Selena pondered for a mont:
“I can help you with that. The Law Enforcent Departnt’s prison has a set of monitoring devices that can project your consciousness beyond geographical boundaries, allowing you to communicate with criminals using an illusion body.”
“No problem.” Noland nodded, and then asked:
“Have any wizards thought of the sa idea as I did? Trying to find a way to deal with underwater creatures in the realm of alien knowledge.”
Selena shook her head:
“No. You’re probably the first wizard to think of asking the aliens for help. It’s quite an unconventional idea.”
Selena raised a finger and waved it:
“Give a few minutes. I’ll contact the Law Enforcent Departnt. Since you’re already a Wizard Enforcer, you’ll be granted authorization quickly. If you don’t mind, I’d like to join in and listen to your conversations.”
“Alright.” Noland nodded.
Selena took out pen and paper and wrote a letter on the spot.
After sending the letter, they received a reply in about five minutes.
The reply had so magical runes drawn with ink.
Following the magical runes on the letter, Selena set up a ‘Project Consciousness’ specific magic circle in the study room.
At the center of the circle were two desk chairs.
After setting up the magic circle, Noland and Selena each sat down on a chair, entering a half-asleep state under the guidance of the circle.
Similar to entering the ‘Court of Silence’, Noland’s consciousness quickly rose in the pitch-black environnt, aiming directly at the iron-gray planet being bound by tal chains above his head.
Once plunged into the planet, boundless iron-gray fus surrounded him.
Two seconds later, there was a sudden brightness in front of his eyes.
A closed space, lit by magic wall lamps, appeared before Noland and Selena. The walls were made of rectangular gray stone bricks with a rugged and simple room style, containing only three chairs and a table.
As the subject of monitoring, the alien woman nad Loymin was sitting at the tal table.
Her hands were on the table, bound with heavy chains.
She seed to have seen far too many monitoring scenes already, and at this point, she appeared quite calm, showing no signs of panic or helplessness.
Noland looked down at the illusion bodies of himself and Selena.
These were not life-like body replicas but two glowing cylindrical shapes without discernible body outlines, gender, or age characteristics.
There was a classic-style gramophone on the table in front of Noland.
The gramophone was switched on.
The black disc slowly rotated.
First, the gramophone’s speaker made a rustling sound, followed by a cold male voice:
“Greetings, visiting guests. This monitoring session may last up to half an hour. Your communication with the prisoner will be recorded and stored in the archives. With the help of magic, the prisoner before you has learned the Ulnas Ring Common Language. Now, please begin your work.”
