Chapter 781: 248. Remove “tal”_3

Noland Lee received a letter from Selena and went to et her.

The two of them talked about the recent movents of the pirates in the Study Room of the Floating Miniature Ocean.

Over the past half a month, Noland Lee had been staking out pirate teams of about a thousand sea monsters.

His actions were swift and decisive each ti.

Except for the first night, due to a lack of experience, the oceanic fleet encountered pirates, but on the other nights, he eliminated all the pirates before the oceanic fleet approached the ambush point.

Furthermore, he was not greedy when it ca to dealing with the pirates.

He only took on one target per night, not going for more.

In an ideal situation, Selena would have noticed that there were only a few less night-ti plundering incidents recently.

But…

But the magnificent spectacle of thunder raining down across the sky, striking the sea surface was too eye-catching against the backdrop of the deep night sky.

Quite a few oceanic fleets saw the thunder and lightning at the edge of the sky.

And after each of these fleets reported seeing the lightning striking the sea surface, they all arrived safely at the Suman Archipelago.

Although Selena was busy with official business every day, it didn’t an she was a fool.

Once or twice this kind of phenonon could be explained as accidental natural occurrences.

But with continuous lightning striking the sea surface for half a month, it was hard for her not to realize that this was unusual.

Upon recalling the dark clouds infused with thunder and lightning energy summoned by Noland Lee when he confronted Dickler Fagen’s private housekeeper…

Selena subconsciously linked the lightning on the sea surface with the thunderclouds summoned by Noland Lee.

She looked at Noland Lee, who was sitting across the table with a calm expression, and tentatively asked:

“Many wizard forces have reported that there have been brief flashes of lightning at sea recently. I rember you have a deep understanding of lightning magic, any good suggestions?”

Noland Lee picked up his tea cup and took a sip:

“Were any ships damaged by the lightning?”

“No,” Selena shook her head.

Noland Lee smiled and said:

“Then, as an expert in the field of lightning magic, I suggest you don’t worry about this occasional natural phenonon.”

Selena was all too familiar with his expression, clearly aning “I am doing it, don’t ask.”

Selena pursed her full lips, raised the corner of her mouth slightly, and shot Noland Lee a “I knew it was you” look.

She tacitly moved on from the topic and asked:

“Do you rember Berkeley, the Nine Circles tal Battle Mage, who was bewitched by the tal Ancestor Dragon and betrayed Hotams?”

“Yes,” Noland Lee nodded:

“You invited here tonight to talk about this? But what does the tal Branch’s issue have to do with the Deep Sea Branch?”

Selena said:

“There is still a connection.

“Many combat wizards from the tal Branch are part of the support teams sent by the Deep Sea Branch.

“They will accompany the Deep Sea Wizards at sea and take on the specific responsibility of repairing magic chanical ships damaged by pirates.”

Noland Lee thought for a mont, rembering that he indeed saw the presence of tal Series Wizards in the support teams he encountered:

He asked:

“Alright, then what?”

Selena spread her hands and said:

“Within a year at the latest, the tal Branch will be closed by Hotams, and new students will not be accepted for the ti being. Existing mbers have to either give up their current magical accomplishnts and switch to other branches or sign a voluntary risk-taking contract, sever ties with Hotams and beco independent tal Box Wizards.” (Note: This involves a later main plot and is not Hotams’ stupid decision.)

Noland Lee raised his eyebrows:

“Is it that serious? Doesn’t that an the wizards of the tal Branch have been abandoned by Hotams?”

Selena rubbed the corner of her eye:

“Yes, this is an unavoidable situation, Jarvis.

“While practicing the ‘tallic Thinking’ ditation thod, wizards have to incorporate the ‘ntal tal’ left behind by the tal Ancestor Dragon into their bodies. This magical creation from the tal Ancestor Dragon can turn the tal Branch wizards into its puppets.”

“Hotams suspects that this was a treacherous arrangent deliberately left behind by the tal Ancestor Dragon when it left this world, just so it could have a vast power at its beck and call when it returns.”

Noland Lee asked thoughtfully:

“Can the ditation thod of the tal Branch be changed? It seems that the ditation thods of so tal Series Wizard forces have nothing to do with the tal Ancestor Dragon, right?”

Selena shook her head:

“It’s not that simple, Jarvis. Hotams has communicated with the tal Series Wizard forces, and their ditation thods also require the use of tal magical creations left behind since the Era of Dragons.”

“Hotams suspects that the entire tal Series Wizard community is the result of the tal Ancestor Dragon’s secret arrangent, and all of them are inextricably linked to the tal Ancestor Dragon.”

Selena looked at the contemplative Noland Lee and said:

“Perhaps you are not aware of this. Recently, there has been a heated argunt within the Wizard Council.

“On the alien-controlled interstellar ships and their captured crew, there were no other clues related to the tal Ancestor Dragon except for tal plates with the ‘Dragon Claw’ pattern.”

“Even after Hotams announced the flaws and the origin of the flaws in the ‘tallic Thinking’ ditation thod, it still could not convince all councilor-level professors to accept the view that ‘the tal Ancestor Dragon is still alive.'”

“The vast majority of the Wizard Council mbers insist on ‘seeing is believing.’ Unless the Star Witches send back news of observing the tal Ancestor Dragon, they would not believe the tal Ancestor Dragon is still alive just because of Hotams’ few words.”
