Chapter 1432: Ending 1: The Fire of No Regrets_4
Noland Lee was no longer concerned about whether he was still in an illusion.
His mind was preoccupied with the cunning maneuvers that got the tal Ancestral Dragon all riled up.
The Assassin Angel pondered over Noland’s suggestion and thought there were no major issues, the only thing to be mindful of was his own safety.
He possessed the ability of Passive Deconstruction and the “Heart of Magic,” and any of those falling into the hands of Extraterrestrial Eternity would be catastrophic.
With this thought, the Assassin Angel separated a small wisp of mist from his body, crafting it into a palm-sized amulet and handed it to Noland, saying,
“You can personally lead the Soul Constructs of ‘Command’ in the Inner Cosmos to cause havoc, but you must carry this with you. It will protect your life in a critical mont.”
...
Noland took the amulet, about to securely store it, when he suddenly felt this scene seed familiar.
Didn’t he receive an amulet from the Assassin Angel last ti?
Then why didn’t it work when his chest was pierced by the Void Spears?
These questions whirled around in Noland’s mind, and eventually, he asked them out loud.
The Assassin Angel suggested several possibilities.
The first possibility was that in his previous experience, the amulet on Noland might have been rendered ineffective due to the “Assassin Angel’s” severe injury.
The second possibility was that because it was an illusion, the Angel of Heart could not emulate all of the real Assassin Angel’s powers, so the amulet Noland got last ti was rely for appearances and lacked defensive capabilities.
The third possibility was that the one who used Noland to locate the Scroll Angel with the Void Spears might have rged with a part of the “Assassin Angel’s” abilities, hence able to assassinate without triggering the amulet.
Similarly, discussing this content now was of little importance.
The priority was to coordinate with ‘Command’ to get ready as soon as possible and wait for the tal Ancestral Dragon to take the bait.
Noland and the Assassin Angel discussed so details, then imdiately split to take action.
Noland returned to the battlefield to supervise the war and discuss the plan details with ‘Command,’ while the Assassin Angel went to the “reality” planetosphere of the players to look for Senati.
Everything was getting back on track.
…
…
In the starry sky, twenty to thirty lightyears away from the Angel’s Voice Space Station, Cucumber Slice was following the fleet of the Angel Enterprises Alliance, waiting for instructions from the Redemption Angel Group headquarters.
Through intensive training and executing tasks over the past month, he had earned the trust of the Alliance—in terms of the ga interface, he had raised the Alliance’s reputation from “Cold” to “Friendly.”
Today, along with the fleet providing reinforcents to the Angel’s Voice Space Station, the Redemption Angel Group had assigned him a battleship.
This type of warship certainly couldn’t compare to the Artificial Angels, but it was not bad in terms of firepower support and armor defense.
The other players around him, such as Winter lon and Kelp, had also raised their reputations with the Alliance to “Friendly” and thus could also command battleships.
Most players who had sided with the Alliance were of the mindset, “I can’t believe I missed out on such a good thing,” regarding the massive team battle happening near the Angel’s Voice Space Station today.
However, as soon as the ergency task to return to the United Bureau appeared on the ga interface, the players’ ntality took a Big Turn.
Once everyone regrouped near the Angel’s Voice Space Station with the fleet, the second phase of the ergency task appeared on the ga interfaces of the players, igniting excitent and a high battle spirit in each player.
In Noland’s previous experience, when the Allied Fleet attacked the players’ Secondary Stargate, he had Cucumber Slice and others launch a surprise attack on the fleet’s commanders to weaken the Alliance’s strength.
This ti, there was no change in the mission the Noland released, only adjustnts in details.
For example, in his last experience, he had emphasized in the task interface:
“Players of the Alliance who participate in the attack on the fleet commanders can respawn directly within the territory of the United Bureau after death, without any death penalty.”
He had made such arrangents to lessen the psychological burden on the Alliance players so that they would be more proactive and fearless in attacking the fleet commanders.
Now the situation had changed.
Since the tal Ancestral Dragon’s body might use a ceremony in the Inner Cosmos to appear on the scene and carry away players, and both Noland and ‘Command’ planned to let the enemy take away more players, those siding with the Alliance couldn’t die too quickly.
Otherwise, by the ti the tal Ancestral Dragon’s body enacted the ceremony in the Inner Cosmos, there might be fewer than ten players left on the battlefield. They would have a hard ti assisting Noland in the Inner Cosmos in stripping away the tal Ancestral Dragon’s Disguise to force the enemy to reveal its true form.
Therefore, the more players that survive until the tal Ancestral Dragon’s body conducts the ceremony in the Inner Cosmos, the more likely the tal Ancestral Dragon will be to reveal its true form in the Inner Cosmos.
Noland specifically removed the “elimination of death penalty” term and replaced it with “the greater the combat contribution, the better the Reward.”
Thus, the players who had joined the Alliance, in order to maximize their rewards, would strive to survive at all costs instead of simply Igniting their ships near the fleet commanders.
“The Task guidance is set, Cucumber Slice and the others are in combat mode, just waiting to strike during the fleet’s attack on the Secondary Stargate.”
Noland focused on his Magic Vision, contemplating,
“Now, it’s up to ‘Command’ when they can temporarily lend the control rights of these players’ Soul Constructs. Once they’re taken into the Inner Cosmos by the tal Ancestral Dragon, I’ll take over these players imdiately, temporarily sealing their consciousness. They’ll beco Soul Constructs that purely follow my commands. Once they leave the Inner Cosmos, I’ll help them recover their consciousness and return the control rights to ‘Command’.”
