The two brothers were bickering when Cucumber Slice appeared behind them.

“What task?” Winter lon and Kelp asked from their office chairs, looking up.
Cucumber Slice crossed his arms, a contemplative look in his eyes:
“This task is strange. It requires to follow the fleet to the vicinity of Black Hole Magic Academy and execute an escort mission.”
“Huh?”
“Going to Black Hole Magic Academy at this ti? Aren’t you afraid of disconnection?”
The brothers were sowhat skeptical, slapping their foreheads and saying one after another:
“Right, does the Angel Enterprise Alliance’s NPCs know when we’re disconnected?”
“They probably don’t, they’re just NPCs after all. It’s precisely because they don’t know that players get disconnected near the black hole that they would assign this task to the captain, right?”
“Is that so?” Kelp blinked, feeling sothing was off but couldn’t pinpoint it at the mont.
Cucumber Slice rubbed his forehead and asked:
“The reason I ca is to ask you two, did the ga officials promise you any other compensation? They can’t just give you two, who aren’t from the Magic Academy, Double Credit Cards as a reward.”
“Eh? Oh, right, we’re not part of the Academy now, so credit cards are useless to us.”
“Exactly, exactly, how did I forget that? Got too caught up watching the live stream.” Winter lon smacked his head and quickly proceeded to check the official announcent in detail.
The announcent only ntioned credit cards, no other compensation.
With no choice, Winter lon made a call to contact the custor service.
After inquiring with the ga operation’s senior managent, custor service provided a specific response.
Firstly, Double Credit Cards were definitely out of the question, since neither Winter lon, Kelp, nor Cucumber Slice were mbers of the Magic Academy.
Secondly, for task failures due to disconnections, the ga officials would rectify it behind the scenes, which ans players’ tasks would be counted as successfully completed, with a full score rating.
In other words, the three of them, Winter lon, Kelp, and Cucumber Slice would directly receive the highest standard of task reward.
That was the compensation promised by the ga officials.

Winter lon and Kelp took a deep breath and completely let go of their concerns.
Cucumber Slice slowly nodded and said:
“Then it looks like we can accept this task. I’ll just follow the fleet and warp over for an easy win.”

The two asked:
“So, are you going in an ordinary ship, or are you piloting an Artificial Angel?”

Cucumber Slice was already used to their erratic train of thought.
He dropped a remark and turned to leave:
“Of course, I’m taking the Assault Escort Ship, not piloting Artificial Angels.”
Winter lon caught up to Cucumber Slice, saying:
“That’s perfect, Captain. Broadcast your ga screen, I want to see what the disconnection zone looks like.”
“Yeah, I want to see too. If those Alliance NPCs took advantage of our disconnection and did sothing to our bodies, then we’re not ‘clean’ anymore.”
Cucumber Slice was speechless, continuing to walk and speaking without stopping:
“Go play, watch the live stream if that’s what you’re supposed to do, flirt if you’re supposed to flirt. Why do you want to see my ga screen.”
Cucumber Slice said this because he didn’t want Winter lon and Kelp to find out about the existence of the GM.
He might interact with the GM due to disconnection issues when approaching the disconnection zone.
If there were two greenhorns peeking over his shoulder at that ti, who knows what unexpected events might occur.
So, Cucumber Slice rejected the two brothers’ suggestion.
But his refusal only caused Winter lon and Kelp to start making sarcastic remarks:
“Tsk, it’s just broadcasting the ga screen, what’s there to be unhappy about?”
“Exactly. Captain, the Alliance didn’t offer you so indescribable services, did they?”
“I bet that’s it. Once you broadcast your screen, everything will be exposed. So much for hiding the slightly exposed shoulders, the tender red lips, and the legal lolis.”
Cucumber Slice’s face was lined with exasperation; he felt if he didn’t let them take a quick look at the disconnection zone, tomorrow the studio might be buzzing with ridiculous rumors.
Resigned, Cucumber Slice waved his hand:
“Fine, look if you want. Co with .”
“Oh yeah.”
“I knew our captain was upright and incorruptible, never one to succumb to the Alliance’s sugar-coated shells.”
The three entered Cucumber Slice’s office.
In a short while, Cucumber Slice logged into the ga and selected the option to broadcast the ga screen.
With a “whoosh”, the office projector lit up and cast Cucumber Slice’s ga screen onto the screen.
What ca into view was a sparse and ordinary laboratory, with nothing particularly striking except for the things in the dissection table and sample jars being sowhat creepy.
Cucumber Slice’s ga character walked down from the lab table, put on the clothes hanging on the wall, and followed the staff out.
After a brief preparation, Cucumber Slice and a native pilot boarded an Assault Escort Ship shaped like a ring.
The escort ship left the space station and joined a dium-sized fleet with 30 Artificial Angels.
After a short wait, the fleet’s Special Operations Warship took the lead in initiating the warp, followed by the other ships and Artificial Angels in the fleet.
