Chapter 1352: 443. Tiny Shock
A strange tingling sensation spontaneously appeared within his body, significantly alleviating the discomfort on the Cucumber Slice.
The voice of the GM ca through to Cucumber Slice:
“I’ve loaded a small patch for you; it will help you withstand this round of injections.”
“Thank you so much!” Cucumber Slice felt a surge of thrilled surprise and then asked,
“By the way, do you know what happened to the players who were taken away by the staff? Were they caught by the Angel Enterprise Alliance to be used as experintal subjects?”
“Oh, about that…”
...
Noland Lee glanced at the Magic Vision beside him, paused briefly on the image, and responded in a relaxed tone,
“You don’t have to worry about them. They are resisting the staff, and a violent conflict has erupted. One player has already been killed by the staff, and it seems the rest will et the sa fate.”
In the image provided by the Magic Vision, after a player was dragged out of the Laboratory by a chanical Arm, one of them activated the “Berserk Skill” and broke free from the chanical Arm’s restraints.
This guy had so loyalty, not fleeing alone but instead staying to help his comrades break free from the chanical Arms, and they fled together.
The violent conflict thus began, with the space station’s ard robots coming to stop them.
The ard robots were instructed to take them alive if possible, but the Players were rushing towards the muzzle, hoping to die and respawn back in the United Bureau’s Territory.
It was estimated that in about five minutes, the last player would be killed.
Returning to the current third round of injections.
With the secret help from Noland Lee, Cucumber Slice stood through it all without much danger and beca a player who passed all three rounds of injections.
His two companions, the brothers Winter lon and Kelp, died twice, losing all Experience of their current Level.
Players who died in all three rounds of injections not only emptied their Experience Bar of the current Level but also lost a Level.
When the staff brought the players who resurrected after death into the Laboratory, the air was instantly thick with dissatisfaction.
The players complained bitterly to the staff, lanting their lost experience and seeing no rewards.
The staff were not in a hurry.
They waited for the players to tire of complaining before one of them began to distribute rewards.
“Now announcing personnel arrangents.”
The speaker was the staff mber previously in charge of distributing injections, still using a cold, synthesized electronic voice,
“Those who passed any one round of injections can register to beco intern pilots for the Redemption Angel Group. Those who passed any two rounds of injections can register to beco official pilots for the Redemption Angel Group. As for those who passed all three rounds of injections…”
The staff mber looked at Cucumber Slice:
“As for those who passed all three rounds of injections, you are the only one, and you can join the Archangel Group to receive specialized training as an Artificial Angel Pilot.”
As the staff mber spoke, the Ga System also refreshed Characters in front of the players, settling the Task Rewards.
Just as the staff mber verbally expressed, players gained the qualifications to beco intern pilots or official pilots of the Redemption Angel Group.
The difference between intern and official was whether they could be fired or not.
Official pilots could start working driving the Alliance’s Ships for missions right after training.
But intern pilots who fail the training could be dismissed, becoming interstellar vagrants.
From the staff’s words, players who failed to withstand any round of injections lost the opportunity to serve the Alliance altogether, going back to where they ca from.
But that wasn’t the key issue.
The real crux was that even though players registered as pilots, they joined the Redemption Angel Group.
This branch of the group was specifically responsible for executing invasions—looting and killing in the territories of the United Bureau.
Letting a bunch of traitors, who had turned their backs on the United Bureau, run back to the United Bureau’s Territory to commit atrocities, the Angel Enterprise Alliance was playing a very loud ga?
The players were imdiately dissatisfied, creating an uproar and furiously berating the staff.
“I’m a fucking idiot for siding with you guys!”
“The treatnt from the Angel Enterprise Alliance is just too lazy…”
“What the hell, I died three tis and got nothing…”
Facing the players’ vitriol, the staff calmly said,
“Oh, sorry, I forgot to ntion. Those who failed to pass any round of injections will be sent back to the United Bureau’s Territory. You don’t have to resurrect through death in the United Bureau’s Territory like those foolish guys.”
The staff’s indifferent attitude made the players even more infuriated.
But as several squads of ard robots entered the Laboratory, the unard players gradually cald down.
The brief five minutes were spent in discussion.
The players eventually chose to follow the staff’s arrangents, joining the Redemption Angel Group or taking the Shuttle back to the United Bureau’s Territory.
Winter lon and Kelp, the brothers, temporarily parted ways with Cucumber Slice.
The brothers followed the main force and left under the staff’s watch, heading to the Redemption Angel Group’s Space Station.
Cucumber Slice, on the other hand, was taken aboard a Luxurious Shuttle, heading towards the Archangel Group’s Space Station.
The Archangel Group was responsible for the research and production of Artificial Angels, and it also undertook the training of Artificial Angel Pilots.
As the Luxurious Shuttle leapt between various Star Gates, Cucumber Slice obtained the training plan for Artificial Angel Pilots through the Ship’s Computer.
This Plan was specifically designed for the “Undying” group, distinctly different from the regular training plans.
