Chapter 1233: 393. Jay’s Fall

Noland Lee had not expected that the Rune Cage he had just set up would welco a guest so soon.

Even more unexpected was that his first guest was not Clint “Windhawk” or Benji Accumulation’s magical avatars, but a wizard from the Pure Light Court.

Honestly, Noland had a bit of disdain for the wizard forces that bore the na “Court.” He even felt that they sullied the word “Court.”

Knowing that assisting the tal Ancestor Dragon would undermine the foundations of the Ulnas Circle, yet still choosing to cooperate with the old dragon—whose side was the Pure Light Court really on?

For such wizard forces that took advantage but shirked their duties, Noland had no intention of yielding, especially since he was well aware that Selena really should not be taken by the Light Wizards for interrogation, or else it would lead to endless trouble.

Unless…

...

Unless Selena was willing to drink Oblivion Potion, completely forgetting about Noland’s possession of the Sub-Dinsional plane.

But that was impossible.

To say nothing of the fact that Noland needed Selena’s help to acquire Soul Energy and set up the Energy Conversion Array, just managing the mining of non-tallic ore ant that Noland could not do without her, and Selena couldn’t possibly continue her work if she forgot about key issues.

So, the priority was to protect Selena, not to appease the Pure Light Court.

As for any backlash from the Pure Light Court,

Let it co.

It would have to co sooner or later anyway.

The chanos assembly line that Noland built, along with the defense facilities in the Maze Space, were all designed to standards fit for combat involving the tal Ancestor Dragon himself, targeting the top combat forces in the world.

Wizards from Sixth to Ninth Rings, even those with Breaking Law abilities, once they entered this Maze Space, must honestly settle down there and enjoy the 360-degree panoramic view of the premium prison cell.

While Noland was thinking about creating more Rune Cages in case there were too many guests to accommodate, he chatted with Selena.

Once she had sent off her written reply, Noland returned to the Sub-Dinsional plane, continuing to manufacture chanos and the assembly line.

Before long, around three or four o’clock that afternoon, the reply from the Pure Light Court reached Selena’s hands.

This ti, the Pure Light Court’s attitude had changed.

Firstly, they expressed shock in their letter about “soone impersonating Light Wizards and violently entering private territory.”

Secondly, they inford Selena that a four-person squad had gone missing in the Deep Sea Branch, and the Pure Light Court needed to dispatch a team to search the Academy.

Lastly, they expressed a request to visit Selena in a standardized polite tone, casually searching the Academy for traces of the four-person squad.

This response from the Pure Light Court was within Noland’s expectations.

Following the response plan that Noland had devised, Selena picked up her pen and quickly wrote and sent out the second letter.

A request for a visit?

Sorry, but no. Selena’s schedule is fully booked for the near future. Please wait patiently.

To search for the traces of the four-person squad?

Sorry, no as well. The security personnel in the Deep Sea Branch have not detected any so-called Light Wizard squad. Please provide evidence that the four-person team entered the Deep Sea Branch and legally justify their action, otherwise it is considered illegal invasion.

After this second letter was sent, the Pure Light Court remained silent for a long ti.

Not until two days later, at noon, did the Pure Light Court finally react.

But they did not send a letter to Selena; instead, they entrusted her brother, Lonco, to diate as an interdiary.

Accompanying Lonco to face Selena was also Noland’s “old acquaintance”—Jay Spade.

This Eighth-Circle Light Wizard watched helplessly as he was controlled, walked into the warehouse for valuable goods, and stole a box of Soul Gems, a mory still vivid in his mind.

Every ti he thought of this incident, Jay Spade trembled with hatred towards the thief.

The thief not only caused a severe blemish on his career record but also made him lose face in front of his subordinates.

Jay Spade’s hatred for the thief influenced his subordinates in the Light Wizards, making their actions overly reckless, and he admitted this was his fault.

This ti, he ca not with a tough stance to interrogate Selena but to apologize and take away the four imprisoned Light Wizards.

Jay Spade believed that his status and position, coupled with Lonco’s presence as Selena’s older brother, should be sufficient to convince Selena to hand over the four Light Wizards.

But.

He was wrong.

The mont Jay Spade stepped into her study room, Selena activated all the Restrictive Magic Arrays within, chaining Jay Spade with hundreds of chains.

Lonco was imdiately shocked:

“Selena! What are you doing?!”

Selena’s face was as cold as frost. She pulled out a glass ball emitting an iron-gray light from a drawer.

She threw the glass ball forward and asked,

“You couldn’t possibly not recognize what this is, right? Brother?”

Lonco scrutinized the glass ball and his expression beca grave. The look he gave Jay Spade was filled with much more wariness.

Pointing to the iron-gray glow inside the ball, he asked Jay Spade,

“As a Light Wizard, why would you have tal Magic from the tal Ancestor Dragon on you?”

The glass ball now present at the scene was an ergency detection tool specifically targeting tal Magic of the tal Ancestor Dragon, developed urgently by the Hotams under the commission of the Departnt of Magic.

As the Ulnas Circle and the tal Ancestor Dragon confronted each other in the Pollution Zone of the “Steel Forest of Mortal World,” a sweep aid at the tal Ancestor Dragon had already begun in significant areas within the Ulnas Circle Territory.
