“The ‘Veil of The World’ Rune is really quite handy. I’ve used one now. I’ll save the second one for later, after I enter the Pollution Zone.”
Noland Lee used [Mage’s Hand] to put the Alchemy Card back into his Magic Pouch.
The Magic Pouch returned to Nissan Dak’s belt, and Noland Lee quietly lifted the ntal Magic he had cast on the other, re-entering Invisibility State.
Nissan Dak was unaware from start to finish.
He hurried past Noland Lee’s figure, completely oblivious to the ill-intentioned wizard hiding beside him.
“Phew~ all set.”

Noland Lee watched Nissan Dak leave and withdrew the chanos and Magic Circle he had laid in ambush within the corridor.
Next, patience was key.
Once the Pollution Zone opened, Noland Lee had to witness with his own eyes the Alchemy Card being inserted into the Launcher Control Console.
If the trickery on the Alchemy Card was discovered, he would have to manually modify the Control Console’s destination coordinates.
Noland Lee cast a Flight Spell and climbed upward, following the Vertical Passage back to Ground Level.
Suddenly, a ntal alert from the “Tracking Mark” made him stop in his tracks.
“Wait a minute, what’s going on? Why are the Pure Light Court people here?”
Noland Lee’s eyebrows twitched as he withdrew the “Tracking Mark” placed on the ground.
Those Spell Marks were scattered around the entrances to Union City and were originally used by Noland Lee to monitor Wandering Wizards inside and outside the city.
But just now, these Spell Marks sent a ntal signal that they were about to be discovered, and the people who compelled the Spell Marks to send an alert were a group of masked individuals who had just entered the city.
Before erasing the “Tracking Marks,” Noland Lee cast Deconstruction at the group of masked people.
The Deconstruction Results indicated that in this team of ten, there were seven Four-circled Light Wizards, two Five Rings, and one Sixth ring.
They had disguised themselves as ordinary residents of Union City, using Illusion Magic to deceive the guards and successfully entered Underground Floor 1, now looking for the Vertical Passage Direct to the 80th Underground Floor.
In the entire Fissure Corridor, the vertical passages that led directly to the 80th floor were now fewer than ten.
The one in No. 18 Sector was the easiest to find and to pass through; the rest were controlled by large wizard forces.
Noland Lee focused his mind and carefully felt the “Tracking Marks” within the Fissure Corridor.
From the First Underground Level to the Vertical Passage where he was located, the “Tracking Marks” along the way transmitted ntal alarms in sequence.
This ant that the group of Pure Light Wizards was approaching Noland Lee’s current Vertical Passage at an extrely fast pace.
“Oh no, this is getting tricky. I’m trapped in the Vertical Passage.”
Noland Lee removed the “Tracking Mark” that was almost detected and surveyed the Vertical Passage that ran directly from Underground Layer 3 to the 79th Floor below.
Such a convenient passage had no other side routes, just two exits, one on Underground Layer 3 and one on the 79th Floor.
If Noland Lee didn’t want to run into the Pure Light Court head-on, he had to go to the 79th Floor.
But the 79th Floor was guarded by Alchemists.
Even if Noland Lee were stopped by the Alchemists, he would still be caught up by the Pure Light Court…
So…
“Eh, it looks like I have to go with the ergency plan, but luckily, I’m always well-prepared.”
Noland Lee hastily dressed himself in a full set of Alchemist Craftsman’s Clothes, attached a Suction Cup to the wall, and then took out a brush and Water Bucket to hang on his waist.
