Chapter 1000: Know yourself and know your enemy_2

“The Thunder Wizard” battles with the Dark Abyss Eels were too brief; by the ti the Shadow Death Wanderers arrived, the fight had already ended.

If only the “Thunder Wizards” could fight the monsters a few more tis, that would be perfect.

Only then could the Shadow Death Wanderers ascertain the “Thunder Wizard’s” combat strength more accurately.

Heh, Noland Lee knew the thoughts of the Shadow Death Wanderers.

After all, in the City of Exiles, overreporting, underreporting, or misreporting enemy intelligence was punishable.

“Nolin, that group of Shadow Death Wanderers has started to bite. We can proceed to the second step now.”

...

“Yes, Sir. I need you to provide an Illusion Body.”

Within the Temporary Base, Noland Lee fished in his Magic Pouch and pulled out three airtight black tal boxes.

As he opened the lids, the Magic Dolls stored inside were revealed.

These exquisitely doll-like figures were one-ti-use Illusion Bodies.

Noland Lee took out his Rune Staff and engraved magical runes on the back of the dolls to activate them.

Three Thunder Wizards dressed in blue Lightning Robes, their faces hidden by masks and hoods, were thus created.

Of course, they were not real Thunder Wizards but rely illusions.

Given the enemy’s cautiousness and unwillingness to probe the “Thunder Wizards'” reality, these Illusion Bodies were more than capable of sowing confusion.

Noland Lee took out several Magic Scrolls and stuffed them into the hands of the Illusion Bodies.

He then threw out “Tracking Mark” and “Mind Control” and took control of the Illusion Bodies.

Under Noland Lee’s command, the three Illusion Bodies, each holding a clearly valuable Magic Scroll, flew out from the Temporary Base.

Their flight path was toward another Dark Abyss Eel Nest.

There, about 170 eels indicated that it was a standard dium-sized nest.

A chanos enchanted with “ntal Illusion” lay in wait near this nest, awaiting reinforcents.

And the reinforcents for it were none other than the Illusion Bodies holding Magic Scrolls.

The strategy that Noland Lee and Nolin had devised was simple.

They intended to create the false impression that the “Thunder Wizards” were not actually strong and only cleared nests with the help of powerful Magic Scrolls.

This strategy was straightforward and effective, successfully luring the Shadow Death Wanderers into the trap.

When the Illusion Bodies reached the Ground Snake Nest, they tore open the Magic Scrolls, unleashing the interior “Thunderstrike” technique of up to Level 100.

Dense lightning shot forth from the unfurled scrolls, aiming at the Dark Abyss Eels coiled around the stalagmites.

The intense fluctuations of thunder and lightning energy and the bright flashes could be seen by Shadow Death Scouts even from kiloters away.

Yes, it was such powerful lightning magic that swept through the previous lair of Dark Abyss Eels!

The Shadow Death Scout hidden in the shadows cheered silently in their heart!

They had finally ascertained the strength of the “Thunder Wizard”!

Clearly seeing that the four “Thunder Wizards” relied on Magic Scrolls in their hands to unleash such potent thunder and lightning spells!

This ant that the “Thunder Wizard” might not be of a high wizard level.

Thrilled, the Shadow Death Scout took out pen and paper to write a letter, reporting the enemy’s strength to the Shadow Death Vigilance Team.

Every one of his actions fell within Noland Lee’s Magic Vision.

Being a Third-Ring Wizard, and facing Noland Lee’s “Mind View” of Level 100, the forr was seven circles below in rank.

It would take Noland Lee roughly 7 minutes of observation to raise his suspicion.

When paired with Level 100 “sense tampering”, the safe period for covert observation could be further extended to 14 minutes.

This lengthy duration was more than enough for Noland Lee to determine the enemy’s movents.

After witnessing the Shadow Death Scout send off the letter, Noland Lee shut off his “Mind View” and thought with a smile:

“Nolin, the enemy has taken the bait. How are the Capacitor Pack Device Spirits doing?”

“Mission accomplished, Sir!” Nolin responded cheerfully:

“All 1500 Capacitor Pack Device Spirits have been enhanced, each holding 1.5 million points of Thunder and Lightning Energy. Four of your 20 Type I Elental Reactors have entered a low Construct Value state and are undergoing automatic repair. The Construct Values of the remaining 16 are above the safety threshold, ready for your use at any mont.”

“Good,” Noland Lee said as he put away the Magic Pouch containing the Device Spirits and Elental Reactors and stroked his chin:

“Just relying on 1500 Capacitor Pack Device Spirits might not be enough to steamroll the City of Exiles. Make another 1500 for and have the Snow-winged Cat deliver them. These newly made Capacitor Pack Device Spirits should be crafted with a specification of 2 million points of Thunder and Lightning Energy each.”

“Understood, Sir.”

Noland Lee took out 11 Type I Elental Reactors and summoned the Kitty to pass them on to Nolin on Island 33.

Just as the Snow-winged Cat departed with the Elental Reactors, a “Tracking Mark” Noland Lee had placed sowhere sent out an alert to him.

A premonition that soone was targeting him surfaced in Noland Lee’s mind.

This was a signal that the “Tracking Mark” was about to be discovered.

With utmost speed, Noland Lee pulled up his Spell List and looked toward the “Tracking Mark” from where the disturbance emanated.

This Mark was placed next to the awaiting Shadow Death Scout, who had not tracked the Device Spirits but had chosen to remain in place.

Noland Lee pondered for a mont.

It must be the Combat Wizards from the City of Exiles that had arrived.

Only these higher-strength Shadow Death Scouts would be capable of detecting the “Tracking Mark”.

Noland Lee decisively removed this “Tracking Mark.”

“Nolin, prepare for battle, the enemy is here.”
