Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever Chapter 314: Married Life Romance (Extra 4)
"You really did switch the dication!"
Sumr Lowell pushed him away, anger showing on her face.
Seeing that she was truly upset, Maxim Sinclair wiped the smile off his face: "Are you blaming ?"
"No," Sumr imdiately shook her head and, after a mont, sighed wearily, "I was just saying, ever since I started taking this dication, you’ve been a bit crazy all of a sudden. I couldn’t figure out why, but now I get it. You kept it hidden, but inside you were holding a grudge!"
Maxim didn’t quite believe her. He leaned in and cupped Sumr’s face: "Are you really not angry? Because you seem angry to ."
Sumr looked at him helplessly, her delicate brows slightly furrowed: "You want to throw a tantrum at you?"
"Of course not," Maxim quickly shook his head, then softened his tone, "We agreed, no matter what happens in the future, we should lay it all out and not hide anything. We’ve gone through so much to be together, I can’t handle any more setbacks."
"You sound so fragile," Sumr pushed his hand away, then hugged his waist before he could get upset, "But I do appreciate that you switched the dication. Vivian said although it’s gentler compared to others on the market, the damage to the body is irreversible. Now that you’ve switched it, I don’t need to continue taking traditional dicine to regulate my body. You’ve indirectly helped ."
"No way, I’ve already booked an appointnt with a traditional Chinese dicine doctor for you. You have to take the dicine to regulate your body. Look at you, so skinny, just skin and bones. I still prefer you with so flesh, feels better to touch."
Maxim shook his head disapprovingly and pinched Sumr’s waist.
Blushing and annoyed, Sumr slapped his hand away: "Just talk, don’t get handsy. You’ve got to change this bad habit of yours."
"Well, you’d better get used to this habit of mine soon. I can’t change it. The ancient saying of having a gentle beauty in your arms still holds. How could I possibly give that up?"
Maxim beca increasingly playful, leaving Sumr helpless and just letting him be.
And with that, the matter of the dication was laid to rest.
After taking so ti off, it was finally the day for Sumr to report to work at the company.
She got up early, and Maxim, who was back from a workout upstairs, opened the bathroom door and asked Sumr inside, "Why are you up so early today? You should still have half an hour of sleep!"
"Today’s the day I report to work. I thought I’d get up early to prepare and have a unique look."
Wrapped in a robe, Sumr ca out, drying her hair while picking outfits in the walk-in closet.
Maxim followed her closely, went ahead of her, and picked out a misty blue suit: "Wear this one!"
"Alright, as you say."
Sumr had always trusted his fashion sense, taking the clothes to change.
When she erged again, Maxim had also finished his shower. He wrapped his arm around Sumr’s waist: "Fair’s fair, I picked out your clothes, now you pick out mine."
Sumr rolled her eyes in exasperation and reluctantly went to pick a brand-new untouched suit for him: "Wear this one, it’s handso!"
"What do you an? When am I not handso?"
Maxim leaned in to kiss her, but Sumr had had enough. She pushed him away, "Enough already, aren’t you tired of being all lovey-dovey every day?"
"Of course I’m not tired! But you, you seem a bit fed up," Maxim lowered his head and moved closer to Sumr, a hint of danger in his tone, "Co on, tell honestly, are you planning to raise a puppy outside?"
"Of course not, you’re overthinking this. Alright, stop blocking my way, I need to hurry down for breakfast!"
"No need to hurry, you still have two hours before work. Have breakfast with , and I’ll drive you over. Why the rush? It’s not like you haven’t been there before, no need to be so nervous."
"Are you going to drive there?" Sumr turned to look at him, her gaze holding a hint of reluctance.
"What? Am I soone you can’t introduce? Before, you were hiding , not wanting to et your friends or colleagues. Why is it still like this now? You have to change this; I’m very unhappy!"
Seeing his growing displeasure, Sumr quickly ca over to hug his arm and soothe him: "You’re not just anyone; bringing you on my first day would make it seem like I didn’t earn my position as design director. Please, just stay out of sight for now. When the ti is right, I’ll introduce you to them."
Maxim looked down at her, after a long pause, he reluctantly nodded: "Alright, alright, you’re taking advantage because you know I like you. Imagine , Maxim Sinclair, Chairman of The Sinclair Group, actually having a day where I can’t show myself."
"How could that be? There’s no way you’re not presentable, but these are special circumstances."
Sumr placated him, "Don’t be mad, I promise I’ll introduce you properly to them in the future."
"I can’t wait," Maxim saw Sumr was trying to appease him and seized the opportunity to set conditions, "I can refrain from taking you to work today, but I want to pick you up after work."
"But then people will find out about us!" Sumr hugged his waist tightly, "Can’t you compromise this one ti? I’ve worked hard to earn my place as design director. Wait until I’m steady in the branch before you announce your claim, okay?"
Maxim looked down at Sumr, a storm brewing in his eyes.
In the end, he sighed helplessly: "What can I do with you, except give in?"
His tone was so helpless that, on closer inspection, it even seed a bit pitiful.
Sumr rarely felt guilty, shaking his arm gently: "I promise it’s just for a while. When I’m settled in the company, I’ll flaunt our love all over social dia, okay?"
"Flaunting love solely on your part doesn’t sound good," Maxim wrapped his arm around Sumr’s waist, leading her outside, "Alright, I promise I’ll refrain from showing up in front of your colleagues for now. There will be plenty of chances for them to know you’re my wife, no rush."
Finally, he convinced himself, and Sumr secretly sighed in relief.
Actually, it couldn’t be helped; the previous rumors in the company had really frightened her.
She genuinely didn’t want her work to be mixed up with all sorts of nonsense.
Work is work, life is life, she had to keep the two separate.
After breakfast, according to their agreent, Maxim drove her to the Stellart building. Just as Sumr was about to get out of the car, he pulled her back: "Leaving just like that? We won’t see each other for the whole day; aren’t you going to give sothing?"
Sumr smiled bashfully and gave Maxim a quick peck on the corner of his mouth: "Alright, the driver’s watching. Rember to pick up tonight. See you later, Chairman Sinclair!"
With that, she opened the car door and strode into the office building with a smile.
