Maxim Sinclair smiled and turned to find Sumr Lowell.

Varden Villa.

At the entrance, Matthew stood with bodyguards: "President Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair hasn’t woken up yet. The doctor said she was overly frightened and also lacking sleep."

"Hmm, let the kitchen prepare so at porridge and so light dishes."

Inside the room, Sumr Lowell lay quietly on the bed, a nurse beside her recording data. Upon seeing Maxim Sinclair enter, she hurriedly exited.

It was not until midnight that Sumr Lowell slowly woke up.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Maxim Sinclair dozing in a reclining chair by the bed.

There was a blanket at Maxim’s feet, which looked like it had just slipped off.

Sumr Lowell carefully got out of bed, picked up the blanket from the floor, and gently covered Maxim Sinclair with it.

"You’re awake?"

Maxim Sinclair tiredly rubbed his eyes with his good hand and stood to help Sumr, "Lie down first, I’ll call the doctor to check on you."

"I’m fine," Sumr said, grabbing Maxim Sinclair’s right hand, "You stabbed yourself so many tis, you’re the one who needs a doctor."

"Regardless of who, the doctor should be called first."

Maxim Sinclair patted Sumr Lowell’s hand and went to the door to ask Matthew to call the doctor.

It was half an hour later when both were checked.

After the doctor left, Sumr Lowell carefully helped Maxim Sinclair to sit on the sofa: "I was just overly frightened, without any injuries. But you, you’re terrifying right now."

Due to significant blood loss, Maxim Sinclair’s lips were slightly pale. He smiled: "I’m a grown man; these minor injuries are nothing as long as you’re okay..."

He didn’t finish the sentence.

But Sumr Lowell understood.

The butler downstairs heard Sumr Lowell awake and quickly brought up the al.

As Sumr Lowell ate, she suddenly thought of Vivian Sullivan, asked Maxim Sinclair for a phone, and called Charles Jenson.

Since her phone was thrown into the sea by Justin Huxley, she wished to contact Vivian Sullivan and could only do so via Charles Jenson.

On the other side, Vivian Sullivan was nearly frightened.

Sumr Lowell spent a long ti helplessly comforting her and was exhausted, sighing repeatedly as she hung up the phone.

"Have dinner; it’s too late today. If Vivian Sullivan is okay tomorrow, let her co by to see you. It’ll be more reassuring."

"Hmm, what about you?"

Seeing his difficulty in moving, Sumr Lowell helped put food in his bowl, "You’ve suffered severe injuries; you need to recover at ho for a while, right?"

"It’s alright, just so flesh wounds. I’ll recover casually."

Maxim Sinclair didn’t take his injuries seriously.

"How can you recover casually? You lost so much blood, thinking it’s a minor injury," Sumr Lowell shook her head, "Stay ho and rest during this ti. I’ll take care of you."

For the first ti, Sumr Lowell spoke as if this was her own ho.

Maxim Sinclair took a deep breath and said, "By the way, when I’m better, you should return to Noah and continue as a designer. He’s a person of good character, and his family has been in the business for four generations. You’ll certainly make a na for yourself working with him."

"What are you saying?"

Sumr Lowell showed surprise and even touched Maxim Sinclair’s forehead, "Should you reconsider once you’re healed?"

Maxim Sinclair smiled and brushed her hand away: "Stop joking; I’ve discussed it with Noah. He’ll wait for you."

"I don’t understand your intention."

Sumr Lowell felt sothing was amiss.

"Noah will soon be reassigned back to Leonia. Stellart’s upper managent struggles have reached a fever pitch this year. He can’t tolerate his hard work being destroyed, so he decided to return and reorganize the company. If you’re willing, you can go with him."

This left Sumr Lowell in a long silence.

Maxim Sinclair patiently waited; he knew Sumr Lowell certainly wanted to go back.

She’s a person with aspirations.

After a long ti.

"I thought you would never let leave Stellarion in this lifeti."

Sumr Lowell smiled awkwardly.

"I certainly don’t want you to leave my side, but I can’t bear to see you give up your dreams because of . Go ahead, just rember to co back. Also, the contract won’t be nullified; don’t think about terminating it."

Sumr Lowell’s eyes teared up as she smiled: "That tone sounds like you."

Maxim Sinclair chuckled softly: "Eat up; the kitchen made it special for you, with calming herbs in the porridge. Have a good sleep afterward, I’m here."

The next day.

Vivian Sullivan arrived early in the morning at Varden Villa.

Previously, Charles Jenson feared Vivian Sullivan might do sothing crazy out of concern for Sumr Lowell, so he deliberately concealed Justin Huxley’s kidnapping of Sumr Lowell.

Yesterday, upon learning the ins and outs, Vivian Sullivan began another cold war with Charles Jenson.

Sumr Lowell looked at Charles Jenson complaining to Maxim Sinclair in the room and smiled as she persuaded Vivian Sullivan: "He’s worried about you; don’t bla him."

"Hmph, let him stew for another two hours." Vivian Sullivan snorted, worriedly checking Sumr Lowell thoroughly, "Really not injured?"

"No, Maxim Sinclair arrived just in ti."

"I saw; he seems pretty badly hurt," Vivian hesitated, "Honestly, he cares about you a lot. Those ssy things in the past... why don’t you just let them go? You should be together well in the future."

"Hmm," Sumr Lowell nodded emphatically, "This city is great; it ets our criteria for choosing a place to settle down. Hmm, maybe even a bit more than expected."

"That too."

With that, both laughed, while the two n whispering by the window heard the noise, looked over, and then glanced at each other, also smiling.

"President Sinclair, doesn’t this count as seeing the light at the end of the tunnel?"

Charles Jenson raised his eyebrow aningfully at Maxim Sinclair.

Maxim Sinclair’s voice carried laughter: "Yes, it’s finally sweet after the bitterness."

...

The seven deep stab wounds required Maxim Sinclair to rest for over three months before fully recovering.

The new year begins, and he personally drove Sumr Lowell to the airport, where Noah was already waiting.

"President Sinclair, rest assured, I won’t let Sumr Lowell suffer any grievance in Leonia."

"Hmm."

Maxim Sinclair gently patted Sumr Lowell’s back, tenderly instructing: "Rember to tell anything in ti. If you miss , call, I’ll fly over to find you."

"Alright, I got it. The announcent is urging," Sumr Lowell nudged Maxim Sinclair, "You should go back; didn’t Assistant Collins say today’s eting is important?"

"No matter how important, seeing you off cos first! Who knows when we’ll see each other again?"

Maxim Sinclair refused to loosen his grip, hugging Sumr Lowell reluctantly, "I’ve changed my mind; maybe you shouldn’t go?"

"Co on," Sumr Lowell gently patted him, breaking free from his embrace, "I’m leaving."

...

Winter solstice, the snow flew wildly outside, but indoors was as warm as spring, hosting the latest international jewelry competition—’Artistry.’

As tidal applause accompanied her, Sumr Lowell stood up smiling, leading her project team on stage to receive the champion’s exclusive trophy from the presenter.

A minute later, Sumr Lowell, holding the hem of her dress, slowly descended from the stage. Maxim Sinclair approached from behind, enveloping her in his arms: "Congratulations, Designer Lowell, on winning the championship."

Sumr Lowell’s eyes curved happily: "Thank you!"

"So... Designer Lowell’s dream has co true, what about mine?"

"Yours?"

Sumr Lowell understood, entwining her arms around Maxim Sinclair’s neck for a lingering kiss!

After a long ti.

Maxim Sinclair wrapped his arms around Sumr Lowell’s waist, leaned close to her ear, his voice soft and filled with laughter.

"Mrs. Sinclair, isn’t it ti to make it public?"

Sumr Lowell laughed, raising her head in that mont, as if the old tis were flooding her eyes.

She stroked the ring on her finger, softly said, "A family of three, yes?"

——
