The Aegis Group’s sixtieth anniversary gala is one of the major events for the company this year. Besides the internal executives and shareholders, at least a hundred invitations were sent out, all to the important clients and so business partners of the Aegis Group over the decades.
Quite a few local elites and dignitaries attended as well, turning this banquet into a grand gathering of tycoons. Even if one couldn’t catch a wealthy husband, at least there was an opportunity to et the prestigious families they couldn’t usually see...
In any regard, it was a great bargain.
Crystal Langley, Quinn Chase, and Violet Whitman had begun preparations for the banquet early on. Although they could only serve as service staff, being able to attend was still an honor for them.
Stella Jennings had been planning for this day for a long ti. She knew that tonight she was Fourth Young Master Hawthorne’s date, which also ant that she would gain everyone’s approval tonight. Marrying Jason had been a long-cherished wish of hers for years.
Tonight, she wore an off-shoulder white evening gown, adorned with tassels that enhanced the dress’s drape, perfectly outlining her full and beautiful figure.

She walked in ten-centiter heels, arm in arm with Jason Hawthorne, who was clad in a custom-made black suit; the two appeared like a perfect couple, a match made in heaven!
Upon entering the venue, they imdiately attracted buzz and admiration. Many elders with ties to the Hawthorne and Jennings families were optimistic about the pair.
Jason Hawthorne’s innate kingly presence captivated a crowd of female fans instantly, each one gazing at him with hearts in their eyes. His stature and aura even rivaled those of male models on magazine covers!
Stella Jennings instinctively tightened her grip on the man beside her, a strong sense of possessiveness welling up in her heart. This man could only be hers!
No one could take him away!
When Laura Quincy first joined the third division, Stella thought Jason might be interested in her, but over ti she realized it wasn’t as she had imagined. Although Jason occasionally acted in ways she did not understand, he basically had no intimate contact with that woman, nor did he give her any special attention...
He even arranged for Laura Quincy to go on a business trip during the company’s sixtieth anniversary gala. She clearly understood that Laura’s participation in this trip to Port Sovereign was unnecessary...

Both Old Master Hawthorne and Old Master Jennings were present tonight. When they saw him, they warmly joked, "Jason, when do you plan to marry Stella? You two aren’t getting any younger. After dating for so many years, it’s ti to settle down."
Stella Jennings stood shyly to the side. Such words coming from both old masters were more appropriate than ever; she wouldn’t even know how to ask herself.
Jason Hawthorne seed to have anticipated this situation tonight and replied calmly with a smile, "Dad, Uncle Jennings, Stella and I have discussed it. When the right opportunity cos, we will naturally announce our happy news to everyone."
Old Master Hawthorne and Old Master Jennings exchanged a satisfied look. The two families have always been close, and a marriage between the younger generation would be the best possible outco.
Old Master Jennings is Stella Jennings’ granduncle, with her father ranking sixth in the family. Many of her cousins, including Ms. Thorne, are already married with children. Her eldest cousin’s child is even older than her.
In fact, the most powerful branch of the Jennings Family belongs to the granduncle’s household, but unfortunately, his legitimate granddaughter is too young, just starting high school.
This gave her the opportunity to et Jason. Although he has a five-year-old son, she doesn’t mind that at all. As long as she can marry him and then have a son with him, she would secure her position as the lady of the Hawthorne Family, wouldn’t she?
After greeting the elders, Jason Hawthorne went off to socialize with so important business clients.
Stella Jennings, sensing the situation, attended to her own matters. Upon turning around, she spotted several socialites, usually hovering around her, now gathered around a woman in a pogranate-red strapless gown.
It was none other than her younger sister, Serena Jennings!

She elegantly walked over with a wine glass in her hand and smiled, "Serena, you’re here too."
Serena Jennings turned to see her older sister and quickly greeted her with a smile, "Second sister, what are you saying? How could I possibly miss such an important banquet tonight?"
The few socialites nearby, sensing the change in atmosphere, promptly found excuses to leave.
Stella Jennings glanced at her younger sister, who was dressed to the nines, "Serena, have you made up your mind?"
