"What does whether that man is my boyfriend have to do with you? Dr. White, can you please stop being so self-righteous and interfering in my matters? It’s none of your business!"
Her tone was cold and mocking, as if she’d just heard the funniest joke.
Theodore White was at a loss for words, so he simply vented his frustration by sealing Nina’s lips...
In that instant, Nina’s eyes widened in shock. Damn it! This bastard must have forgotten to take his ds today!

Nina coldly interrupted him, "There’s no need to ntion the past. I’m not saying this for your explanations. Who hasn’t t a jerk or two in their life? I don’t want my mistakes from college to carry into my professional life. After so many years, we aren’t the sa people we were back then."
She paused, taking a deep breath, "From now on... you walk your own path, and I’ll walk mine. Let’s never see each other again."
The last sentence was said with extra weight and determination.
Theodore looked quite moved, "North, actually..."
Nina abruptly cut him off, "No! Don’t say anything! I don’t want to hear it! My biggest hope now is that we never see each other again. Since it was you who hurt first, can you grant this small request?"
She looked at him almost pleadingly.
Theodore appeared to be facing a significant choice, finally saying with certainty, "I can’t."
His sudden departure back then had a reason, and not saying it was because...
Now that all obstacles had been removed, he had decided to pursue Nina again, so he couldn’t agree to her request.

Nina rubbed her forehead, "How co I didn’t hear about this?"
