"Just wait here a bit, I'll be back... It's ti to make myself an asset," Caleb said, leaving Gideon with a wink.
Gideon stood there, looking at Caleb as he walked up to the two security n guarding the VIP section.
"Is it just or did Caleb just beco a decade smarter? I don't know if a truck hit him, but fuck," he stared in bewildernt.
Caleb was stopped by the security n, and he made a paynt through the ATM before he was granted access to the VIP section.
He looked at the credit card in his hand as he went past the guards.
'This will be useful till I have so money of my own,' Caleb thought, climbing the stairs with purpose.
He was entering a different class.
The class of elites, the richest people in the college he attended, and among them all, the richest—Naya Lucy. Chances of his plan working were slim, but he knew he could only try to know if it would work.
Caleb stepped onto the second floor of the building.
The air in the area stood in perfect contrast to what he had seen down below.
Not only was it much more classic, it had a wider span. It was almost as though he had entered a different building altogether.
A neon-lighted chandelier hung high up in the ceiling—maybe a more classic disco ball.
An exclusive pool could be seen by the side, the glass ceiling gave a perfect view of the outside sky.
A ga area, and then several rooms.
But Caleb wasn't there to admire the beauty of the place—he ca with purpose.
He scanned with his eyes until his gaze fell on the figure he was looking for.
Naya Lucy.
She sat apart from the rest on an exclusive sofa, an icy cold expression on her face as she casually took a sip of wine from the Bordeaux glass.
Caleb walked in her direction, but as he neared closer to her, a figure pushed him to the side, walking past him.
"Hey Naya, what a pleasant surprise," the blonde-haired boy said casually.
He was still in his swimming shorts, his body dripping wet, a friendly smile placed on his face. But as he ca a step closer, Naya flashed him a deadly glare.
He instantly took a step back.
"Is anything wrong?" he asked, letting out an awkward laugh.
"How dare you walk up to looking like that? Who gave you the right to call my na so casually?" Naya asked, flashing him a cold glare.
The blonde took a step back, feeling the shivers run down his spine.
"I'm sorry about that... let wipe my body. I'll be ba—"
"If I see you and your filthy form within a fifty-ter radius near , I'll have you embarrassed in the worst way ever," Naya cut him off coldly.
Hearing her, he swallowed hard before quickly leaving the place.
She turned her head to the two guards who had escorted her in.
"Did I pay you two to allow filth to talk to ?"
"No, ma'am."
"We're sorry, ma'am," the two said.
Naya didn't reply and rather let out an exasperated sigh, closing her eyes to enjoy the music from the speaker.
"Seems soone is having a really bad day," Caleb's voice tore through the tense atmosphere that the blonde had left behind.
'The idiot went ahead to eat up my bad luck,' Caleb thought, slightly pleased that he didn't react much despite the fact that the blonde had deliberately pushed him off the road to approach Naya.
After the idiot's failed attempt, Caleb was able to calm down and analyze the situation.
Naya was a cold empress, but even then, she wasn't the type to shove off people so casually. With the recognition she had, there were tis she had to communicate with people, most especially her fans.
'But since she ca to the party, she hasn't talked to anyone and completely separated herself. She must've been pissed about sothing before coming,' Caleb thought.
Naya opened her eyes to see Caleb's figure standing casually quite a distance from her.
'Seems he heard what I told them,' she thought.
"And how sure are you that I'm having a bad day?" Naya asked.
'That's my green flag.' Caleb didn't reply imdiately as he walked closer to the guards. They both ca up to stop him, but just like he expected, Naya chipped in.
"Let him pass."
Caleb smiled, casually walking past the guards.
"How do I know? Well, no one cos to a party and just sits away from the rest with no one to accompany her, especially a famous beauty like you."
Caleb observed her reaction—there was completely nothing.
'Guess the lines don't work on this one,' he thought, sitting by the sofa opposite her.
"Since it's so clear that I want to be left alone, then why would you still decide to trouble ?" Naya asked.
"Well, it would be rude to let a lady like you drown herself in troubles. You can always share them. A problem shared is a solved one."
Naya's gaze grew icy.
"And what can you do about my problems?" Naya asked.
Caleb paused, touching his chin as though thinking of a reply.
"Who knows, I might give a good idea."
"Fair enough, but I don't think my problems are things I should be sharing with people like you," she said, closing her eyes disinterested.
She was still curious as to how the casual boy from college turned up with a luxury car during the night party, but it wasn't sothing she would concern herself with.
"Ah, that sounds a bit harsh," Caleb said. He could clearly see that she had lost interest in their conversation.
'Well, I guess it shouldn't have been that easy,' Caleb thought as he awaited her next words.
"If there's nothing el—"
"Of course there's still sothing else to say," Caleb cut her off. She stared at him coldly.
'She's definitely the type that loves being in control,' Caleb thought before he added, "It's about the company you work for, right? Looking for soone to pose as a male model for you?"
Her next reaction was what Caleb was waiting for.
Her eyes snapped open in shock.
"Where did you get that information?"
"Well..."
