The tension in the hall had reached a boiling point.

Everyone present could see the sheer display of wealth from the Monrrow family—and they were stunned.

What shocked them even more was that none of the money being thrown around belonged to their father. It was all self-earned. Every bid ca from their own pockets.

Katherine sat composed beneath the VIP box. Her sleek black hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her face remained calm—elegantly enhanced by glossy red lipstick. Hers was a quiet beauty: not exaggerated, yet impossible to ignore. She fit in effortlessly, no matter the setting.

Her hands rested gracefully over one another on her crossed leg.

Nate stared at her, teeth grinding in frustration.

"Fifty million," he called out.

The crowd gasped—again.

He had just doubled the previous bid.

"What the hell is going on? Is this a fight or sothing?" people whispered across the room.

It clearly was. A sibling standoff.

"Fifty-five million," Jason responded, his tone steady, gaze unwavering.

Nate flinched. That wasn’t supposed to happen.

He thought he knew exactly how much Jason made—or so he believed. But now Jason was standing up to him in front of everyone.

’Where the hell did he get all this money?’ Nate thought bitterly, his jaw tightening.

He glanced over at Katherine, expecting her to bid, but she remained silent.

He scoffed.

’Good thing she knows how to keep her mouth shut,’ he thought, his eyes flashing with disdain.

"Sixty-five million!" Nate barked, his frustration starting to show.

Caleb sat quietly, watching the unfolding drama like a well-rehearsed play. Beside him, Julia wore a smirk, her eyes glittering like a child watching her favorite cartoon.

"This is too fun," she said, barely suppressing her laughter. To her, this was more than entertainnt—it was a payday.

Caleb could already guess the source of her joy. A system notification confird it.

{Ding!}

Caleb Monrrow → $1 Million (Unclassified), $50 Million (Classified)

Caleb’s eyes widened.

He coughed as if choking, his breath catching in his throat.

"Sothing wrong?" Naya asked, rushing to steady him as he doubled over.

"I’m fine," he replied quickly. "Don’t worry."

But his mind was anything but calm.

Katherine... was on a different level.

She was worth more than all of them—even Julia. Even with her system-enhanced wealth.

And she was just sitting there, unfazed. Watching them scramble like children fighting over a toy.

Caleb couldn’t help but be intrigued. She could buy anything here without blinking—but she chose to sit still.

He scanned the room. Sam and Serena had already bowed out. This auction had passed their league. Nate had clearly played a deeper ga than they expected.

They couldn’t afford to risk their entire net worth on one item, even if it ant impressing their father.

But Nate and Jason weren’t done.

Back and forth, they traded blows in numbers.

It wasn’t long before Jason called out, "Seventy-five million."

Then ca Nate’s voice, louder, more aggressive.

"One hundred million!"

Silence swept the hall.

Jason gave a slow shake of his head, finally conceding.

He had plans for his own investnts—plans that would grow his wealth over the years. The Red Helix might have accelerated that process, but not enough to justify the risk.

Especially not with Nate in full beast mode.

Nate smirked, thinking the ga was his.

Until a smooth French-accented voice sliced through the room:

"One hundred and fifty million."

Heads turned instantly.

Katherine.

Her voice was calm, almost teasing. Her eyes sparkled—not with desire for the item, but with amusent.

Caleb watched her closely.

’This is just a ga to her... She’s enjoying watching Nate squirm.’

Nate’s glare burned like fire. If looks could kill, the entire hall would have turned to ash.

From the VIP seats, Jin Monrrow furrowed his brows, but he said nothing. His face returned to its usual, cold indifference.

The other billionaires in the room had long since stepped out of the race. It was no longer about the item.

This had beco a Monrrow family war.

They watched with mild grins and soft chuckles as the siblings pushed each other to financial extres.

Even Eldora was entertained.

Buried deep in his massive armchair, his bloated fra slouched forward, he puffed his pipe lazily.

His wide-brimd hat shadowed most of his face, but the grin was unmistakable.

He chuckled to himself, rings glittering on every finger as he lifted his hand to tap his pipe.

"I’m sure old man Jin must be proud," Eldora said loudly, his voice booming. "Look how independent his children are... and how masterfully they burn money."

Laughter rumbled from his lips, shaking the hall.

No one dared respond.

No one ever interrupted Eldora—not even in a mont like this.

Even Jin turned his head toward him, a visible expression of disgust twisting his usually unreadable face.

’That bastard,’ Jin thought, glaring at him. ’Still as arrogant as ever.’

He looked away, clearly refusing to acknowledge him further.

Eldora paid no mind.

He puffed out another ring of smoke and leaned back in his seat, enjoying the chaos.

The battle between the siblings was intense—but now, a new tension brewed.

A silent war between the two titans of the room: Jin Monrrow and Eldora.

anwhile, Caleb sat in silence.

Patient.

Calculated.

Like a predator waiting to strike.

Then, Nate shouted what he believed to be his final, victorious move.

"Two hundred and fifty million!"

The room fell into stunned silence again.

Katherine simply smiled—slow, amused, a little mocking.

Her eyes said it all: ’You win... for now.’

She had her fun. There was no reason to drag it further.

"And the Red Helix goes to Nate Monrrow!" the auctioneer declared, the gavel slamming down after a brief countdown.

No ti was wasted.

The screen flickered to the next item.

"Next up: The Blood Oath!"

Eldora’s eyes lit up like stars.

Across the room, Caleb clenched his fist, beads of sweat dripping from his brow.

He leaned forward slightly.

"It’s ti," he whispered.
