Chapter 70: Chapter 70- Outside (3)
Geon caught Luna and used his limited strength to make the earth soft. It acted as a cushion and allowed them a soft land.
He then dropped her on the hard ground. Luna rolled down, rubbing her buttock. She stood up and immediately ran.
Geon followed her from the side. "At least tell me how important they are to Silas."
"One is an old butler, trusted by Silas a lot. Anyway, he is an important person to Silas. I am certain." Luna said, recalling the conversation between him and Old Gin.
"The last one is his fiance."
"Fiance? I guess she is an important figure." Geon muttered and followed.
After turning and running, they found a campsite. Luna activated her mana sense and immediately noticed the barrier placed around it.
It was an illusion barrier placed by Silas and her. She broke away multiple barriers, some attacking them but Geon blocked them with Earth manipulation.
"Over there." Luna pointed at the air. She felt the accumulation of mana. "Destroy that core. All the barriers will fall."
Geon lifted up his hand and conjured up the earth spear. He rotated the small spear and pushed it through the invisible mana core.
The spear broke through the core and exploded into countless pieces. The barrier vanished and the luxurious carriage came into view.
He saw the window closed and another barrier erupted from the carriage, covering them up.
Geon realized that must be the place the two people were hiding. So he intended to destroy the barrier but stopped by Luna.
"Stop. Stop. No need to destroy." She panted, catching her breath. "I can speak to them..."
She gathered herself and straightened up. "It is me, Luna. There is a beast tide out there coming to here. We need to leave."
The window opened a small gap and she saw an old man peeking outside. Luna waved her hand, trying to appear less threatening. She smiled.
"Hurry." She urged.
Old Gin nodded at her and opened the door. The old butler jumped down and grabbed the pale hand. He gently guided the hand and escorted the young pale lady.
Isvendar looked at Luna and searched behind. She noticed the new face but ignored the spirit, searching for her fiance. A small frown appeared on her face but she masked it fast.
The only one who knew of it was Geon. Because of his nature as a spirit, he was adapted in body language.
"Where is Silas?" She asked.
"He is doing his things. I will explain everything on the way." Luna turned and looked at Geon.
"Can you lift us over that peak?" She pointed.
It was Flux. The mercenaries group which she encountered before.
"I can." Geon replied and crouched down, touching the ground with his palm.
’Guess I can use the power in the vessel.’ he thought and manipulated the earth, creating a flying rock slab.
"Stand there." He said.
All followed.
On the way, Luna explained everything in brief. She cut it short and only said the thing that was important.
Isvendar was silent after asking the question. She just nodded at everything and stared at the center of the Palm Mountains.
Her expression was unreadable and somewhat devoid of life. Geon stared at her and turned away, looking at the beast tide, closing in. They got about an hour or less, depending on the King’s order.
Due to the lack of power, his sense was now dropped remarkably. He sighed and rubbed his temple.
"Why did I change the vessel? It is really a stupid thing to do." Geon then looked up.
The eyes were still on him.
"Strange. Sure, I violated the nature of the world by allowing me to create an offspring but it is only a minor one. It was not like I am currently attempting to create." He muttered to himself.
"I should try."
Geon ignored the prying eyes and recalled the spirit world. He first established the connection between his power and him.
The connection was successful and now, the final step was the fusion. He would cast aside the human form and rebuild his spirit body.
The eyes sent a shockwave, stopping him. It then took the connection and transformed into its own. As the eyes were the manifestation of the world, Geon had no power to fight against.
The eyes then grabbed his power and threw it away from his hand.
Geon woke up on the stone slab, pressing his aching head as he opened his eyes.
"What just happened? Did the world reject my status? Impossible." Geon said in horror written on his face.
He then slowly looked up and found the eyes leaving. Now, he was truly trapped in this vessel.
He looked down at his palm and gulped, shaking his head, denying his new existence.
Geon stood up, looking at the sky. His eyes burning with confusion and hatred.
"Why?" He called out to the world.
"I haven’t done anything wrong?" He yelled again.
"Are you okay?" Luna asked.
Geon didn’t answer, his mind was practically scrambling. He needed to focus. He needed an answer.
Why did the world take away his status and throw his power away?
"Stay here." He said with a harsh tone. "I will come back."
Geon walked to the edge and dropped down, dashing toward Eli.
Luna stared at the green haired man and looked away. They had reached Pinky finger’s peak.
"Flux, we need to cooperate." Luna yelled. Maybe because her life was on the line, her timid nature was now gone, replaced by conviction and bravery. She knew what she had to do to stay alive.
By running.
But in order to achieve that, she needed a clear path.
A shadow appeared from the ground and morphed into the young dark skinned elf. The elf stared at her and said.
"Speak, human."
"Where is Flux?" Luna frowned, getting the weird vibe from the elf. Usually, Flux was the one to converse and made sense of the situation.
And he was the type to let his subordinate talk. Those were the vibes she got from Flux. She admitted, she wasn’t that good at observing people.
At least, she knew Silas was better than this but her own instinct was nothing to scoff at.
"Flux left. I am the leader of this peak." The dark skinned elf said.
"To where. I need his help." Luna said.
"The center."

The King was alone, trapped in the darkness. Born with no eyes, the king didn’t have the concept of light. To him, the world was simply dark and always dark.
But one day, he received the graceful mercy from the god.
The god came to his dream and whispered to him a chant.
"See the light."
The king woke up from the slumber and ordered immediately. He needed to find a way to see. A way to get himself the pair of eyes, fitted for light.
And his men responded by saying, singing about the praise of the tears. The legend passed down by their blood, calling upon the scene of the rebirth.
Yes, the king needed the tears to see.
"Fetch the tears. For me. To see the light. I must see the light."
