Walking on the mountain path leading to the Ziwei Main Peak, the woman, once known as Yuu Peirong and now in the middle years of her life, wore a look of arrogance and continually offered her opinions.

"Think of our Yuu Family, with its 24 Grotto Heavens and Thirteen Blessed Lands, claiming to occupy the lifeline of East Profound North. Compared to us, this Ziwei Chen Family truly is a small, insignificant household."

Beside her was a rather burly middle-aged man, whose brows were constantly furrowed. He couldn’t help but speak after hearing her words:

"Peirong, now the Ziwei Chen Family is one of the colossal forces within the East Profound Domain, and the strongest power in the Southern Lands. They have over a hundred True Self Realm experts, not to be underestimated, particularly Chen Zhixing, who is extraordinarily gifted and yet only..."

"Alright, alright, you’ve said it eight hundred tis along the way, my ears are getting calloused!"

Yuu Peirong interrupted the middle-aged man’s words discontentedly, letting out a heavy snort, "Why do you have to inflate the morale of others and deflate your own? Indeed, the Ziwei Chen Family has many True Self Realm experts, but now our Yuu Family has allied through marriage with the Shi Family and has a perpetual friendship with the Profound Celestial Sacred Lands. Together, we three families are stronger than the Ziwei Chen Family, aren’t we?"

"We alone have four Peak Realm experts! Even if the Ziwei Chen Family counts the Celestial Wave Sacred Lands, they only have two. How can they compare with us?"

After a pause, Yuu Peirong shifted her tone and continued:

"I know about Chen Zhixing; he indeed is remarkable, but... our child Li was born with the Ancient Pattern Holy Eyes and has the semblance of an Ancient Saint, now also possessing the Longevity Bone! How could he be weaker than Chen Zhixing in the future?"

The middle-aged man nad Shi Shaoqiu beside her did not reply upon hearing this but rather sighed inwardly.

He couldn’t quite understand why the family chose to send Yuu Peirong along on this journey.

This Yuu Peirong sees herself as superior, always belittling others.

And Chen Zhixing is not soone to be trifled with; if Yuu Peirong maintains this attitude, it may very well ruin important matters!

Thinking of this, Shi Shaoqiu secretly resolved that when they t Chen Zhixing, he would do his best to let Yuu Peirong speak less, and handle the conversation himself.

With their minds mulling over different thoughts, they arrived before the main hall of the peak.

"Go in, the Patriarch is waiting for you inside."

The disciple guarding the mountain gate said coldly, then imdiately turned and left.

"What an attitude!" Yuu Peirong showed her displeasure.

"Alright, why bicker with a re gatekeeper?"

Shi Shaoqiu tugged at Yuu Peirong’s sleeve and then strode into the main hall of the peak.

The entire hall was exceptionally spacious and bright, resembling the grand throne hall in a common legend, able to accommodate hundreds of people, with every beam and pillar carved with dragons and phoenixes, engraved with Great Tao Runes.

In the deepest part of the hall,

a young man, dressed in white like snow with a head of white hair, his features exceedingly handso, sat on a cold stone seat.

Beside him were two individuals, one a rather plain-looking and thin young man, and the other a child with a chubby face, like a carved jade figurine.

On either side of the hall, seats were arranged in orderly fashion.

Following the sequence were the Netherworld Elders, Chen Daoshan, Sword Demon Dugu — these four Nirvana level individuals!

Further back were the Nine Great Peak Masters and several True Self Peak Elders, as well as the Four Great Evils, Thousand Bat Elder, and other demonic figures.

As Shi Shaoqiu and Yuu Peirong entered the hall, the dozens within imdiately turned their gazes, looking towards the two of them.

BOOM!!!

An overwhelming and terrifying pressure, like that of an abyss and prison, silently pressed down upon the two.

Instantly, Shi Shaoqiu’s face turned ashen, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

He was just about to speak.

"Is this the way the Ziwei Chen Family treats its guests? What? Trying to intimidate us upfront? Do you think we’re from so small, insignificant household, raised to be easily frightened?"

An indignant and sharp female voice suddenly rang out beside him.

Shi Shaoqiu’s expression changed imdiately, and he thought to himself, ’This is bad,’ hurriedly raising his head to say:

"Patriarch Chen, I am Shi Shaoqiu, and this is Yuu Peirong of the Yuu Family. Our uninvited visit is truly a disturbance."

On the cold stone seat, Chen Zhixing slowly squinted, first glancing at Shi Shaoqiu, then at Yuu Peirong, and only then spoke calmly:

"For what matter have you all co to the Ziwei Chen Family?"

Shi Shaoqiu glanced at Yuu Peirong, who was about to speak, quickly forced a smile, and seized the opportunity to answer:

"Patriarch Chen, we are here for Little One. Little One is of our Shi Clan, and we have troubled the Patriarch for a few days. Now it’s ti for him to return with us."

BANG!!

Before Chen Zhixing could respond, Dugu Ni, seated below, suddenly struck the armrest of his chair with a cold laugh:

"Shi Clan’s people? Do you treat your own kin by carving their flesh and digging out their bones?"

"This..." Shi Shaoqiu’s words froze, and he smiled bitterly, "You must be Sword Demon Dugu, aren’t you? There are many misunderstandings in this matter, not sothing that can be explained in a few words..."

"Shi Shaoqiu, what are you wasting so many words with him for?"

Yuu Peirong snorted coldly and said, "Dugu Ni, right? I am Little One’s third aunt, this is our family matter, what does it have to do with you? Do you have the right to interfere here?"

With these words, Yuu Peirong looked at Little One beside Chen Zhixing, forced a fake smile, and spoke:

"Little One, have you forgotten ? I’m your third aunt. I used to hold you often when you were young. Wouldn’t you like to co ho with your third aunt?"

Upon hearing this,

Little One beside Chen Zhixing seed to recall sothing, a flash of fear appeared in his eyes, and he snuggled closer to Chen Zhixing.

"Don’t be afraid, I’m here today. No one can harm you."

Chen Zhixing rubbed Little One’s head, his voice calm.

"Little One, I’m your third aunt! Do you really not even recognize your third aunt?"

Yuu Peirong was sowhat angered and flustered at this point.

"You... you’re not my third aunt! You’re a bad person! I saw you kill Little Maan!"

Little One clenched his fists, mustered the courage, and spoke with a childish voice.

Thinking back to that day when his bones were dug out by his older aunt, and all the servants in his house were killed by the people Yuu Peirong brought, tears fell from his eyes.

"Those lowly servants, I killed them, and that’s that, why would you bla for that?"

Yuu Peirong imdiately flared up in anger.

Beside her, Shi Shaoqiu couldn’t help but smile bitterly.

This Yuu Peirong, was not giving him any chance to speak at all, and everything was unfolding in the worst way he anticipated.

"A truly sharp-tongued venomous woman."

Chen Zhixing looked down at Yuu Peirong, his voice indifferent.

Upon hearing this, Yuu Peirong laughed coldly, her face showing no hint of fear; instead, she raised her head defiantly.

She did not believe that representing the Yuu Family, Shi Family, and Profound Celestial Sacred Lands, the Ziwei Chen Family would dare do anything to her now.

"Elder Nether, how should we deal with those who roar in the main hall?"

Chen Zhixing sipped tea and glanced at Elder Nether beside him.

He burst into loud laughter and stood up from his seat.

"Reporting to the Patriarch, Fifty Slaps!"
