Chapter 66: Warrior; Murderous Intent; Archer and War

Translator: Mango Juice Editor: Chrissy

Succeeding in fighting against 70 or 80 Level 5 Warriors at the cost of leaving more than ten scars with different depths on the body was impossible for a dozen Level 7 Warriors under normal circumstances. But Qian Jin did so, all by himself, with the help of his exclusive sabre.

Drinking down the power recovering potion once again, Qian Jin could feel the warrior energy spouting throughout his body acupoints and reservoirs, washing away his physical fatigue to a large extent.

“I will find out so ti to discuss with uncle Blake to see whether I could learn pharmaceutics in the dicine store.” Qian Jin moved his body which was once again full of energy. “This is truly incredible.”

“Quack, quack...” Mournful howling of so animal ca from the quiet forest, and then a huge object appeared running about in the bush. A crack of bone put an end to its movent.

Qian Jin strode over the Single-ard Ape whose shin bone was cut down by the blade of his Zhanmadao, carried in his hand. It had been three days since he walked into the West Mountain.

Going to the school lessons, practice blacksmithing in the Blacksmith’s Shop or drop in the Fabreidis’ for a delicious al during the dayti...

Qian Jin once again took out the map Blake gave him and carefully checked it, feeling great admiration for the old blacksmith. This round trip would take less than one day as calculated by the map, but it was proven wrong: nurous things hadn’t been marked on it.

Here were seven mountain cottages like one those decadent swordsn were living, including one whose headn were Level 7 Warriors. During that very fight against them, Qian Jin was nearly chopped off.

Apart from the mountain cottage where the decadent swordsn resided, wolf packs numbered by hundreds also possessed advantageous geolocations easy to hold but hard to attack. Every ti he slaughter these living things, Qian Jin would be exhausted and sweat like a pig.

For the short three days, Qian Jin had continued slaughtering, which caused his energy to run out. Everyday, he had to swing his Zhanmadao in full play for thousands of tis. His road forward was a road piled with blood and bones. Even in the full-day exercise monthly held in Oakland Mage and Warrior Novice Academy, Qian Jin had never felt as exhausted as today.

And for the short three days, Qian Jin had successfully turned the theoretical knowledge he learned from books into practice. He took use of multiple chances to utilize the hidden knowledge from the books. Approaching the Single-ard Ape discreetly from its back and chopping down its shin bone with the back of his sabre could be set as an example.

The beasts in the West Mountain had a good nose. Even the faint sll of blood might attract bulks of beasts. breaking the beasts’ shin bone was the optimized combat strategy Qian Jin ca up with during recent days.

This place was so close to the Red Wolves’ habitat, and Qian Jin had to be extrely careful in order not to put on the sll of blood on the clothes he had rinsed in the forest lake, in order him to escape from the Red Wolves’ detection.

Qian Jin gradually wore a murderous look through enormous slaughters. Even ordinary animals such as the wild foxes and wolves would piss out of fright just from his murderous stare; they would swiftly run into the bush without showing up anymore.

Walking past the bush, Qian Jin bent over a giant rock and stealthily peeped at the place underneath the rock, where about 30 wild wolves with fiery fur all over the body gather. Naly, these were the Red Wolves ntioned by Blake.

These Red Wolves’ didn’t own a large figure, and among which, the grown ones had a height of slightly above one ter. They quietly groveled at different places, with their eyes lazily closed.

Yet one Red Wolf among the crowd possessed an extrely large figure, with a height of nearly three ters. Four ears kept rotating on its head, as if inspecting the condition of the surroundings.

Beside it were clusters of bones in human shape and broken swords. The broken swords weren’t halved, but torn into four or five pieces with different sizes—a masterpiece of the animal claws.

Lava Wolverine! Qian Jin suddenly held his breath. No! This was not a Lava Wolverine, but rather a Red Wolf that failed to completely evolve; it was in between being a beast and a Demon Beast.

Qian Jin adjusted his breath and suppressed his fierce heartbeat. Three days’ worth of fighting made him a primary Level 9 Warrior, but facing a Demon Beast who finished evolving, the chances of success were still narrow.

Qian Jin looked at the head of the Red Wolf from afar, feeling regretful for not having taken a set of bow and arrow with him on his departure from old blacksmith Blake. Even if he was not a prodigious archer, at least he had acquired the full score in the shooting course for warriors.

“An excellent archer warrior could sotis decide the outco of a battle all by himself.”

Recalling what Instructor Rodriguez had said, Qian Jin once again felt admiration for this teacher, who only had the strength of a Level 5 Warrior. Though his warrior energy was far from supremacy, his interpretation of warriors and wars reached an unrivalled level not matching his position as a teacher of the primary academy.

Qian Jin was firmly convinced that if Instructor Rodriguez possessed stronger warrior energy, he would have beco a teacher of a famous advanced academy. It was such a pity that he could only mingle with the novice students in Oakwood Mage and Warrior Academy due to the limitation on warrior level.

“The head wolf is like a general, and its wolves are the soldiers. If one can kill the leader wolf with one shot, the war cos to an end.” Qian Jin firmly clenched his Zhanmadao. “After I co back, I will forge a Warrior Weapon like this Zhanmadao as well as a powerful bow myself! Also, I will read more books about archery.”

The short three-day journey of mine inspection infused Qian Jin with new insights of becoming a real warrior, which was not simply equivalent to fighting on one’s own, or defeating one or a dozen adversaries.

“Uncle Blake set here to inspect mine? Or was it to let know that being a great warrior wasn’t that easy?”

Qian Jin looked up at the sun in the sky, and found that it was near dusk for having dinner. He couldn’t linger here any longer as the wolf packs at night would beco more vigilant than in the day, making it harder to carry out a sneak attack.

Qian Jin carried his Zhanmadao, bent down, and moved slowly towards the rock above the leader wolf. His movents were extrely careful in order to not make any sound. He ca above the leader wolf and stared down at the wolf in silence.

It was not the right ti to attack; the leader wolf was groveling as if taking a nap, however, its four ears kept moving back and forth, a signal that it remained highly vigilant.
