Inside a room, neatly decorated, and moderately furnished, Noel was still sitting on the sofa, while looking at the standing Hilda.
After he had simulated once for today, and he already made his choices, it was ti to move on, and start with his plans.
But, nothing start before he finish talking with Hilda... and so, here he was.
Angry, agitated, and , at hearing information, he already knew from the mory of the simulation.
"Okay, and what happened, after that?" in a seemingly calm voice, Noel asked.
To him, it was an infuriating topic, one that wouldn’t fail to anger him, no matter how many ti he was going to hear about about it.
But. It was still a topic, he needed to hear about directly, from Hilda... at least once, so, he planned to do just that.
"After that, the other mbers of the Cross house arrived, and while shocked they still listened to my orders, and went into alert state, and cleaning upon the scene."
"I left taking care of the situation there to them, while along Nadine, took care of the young master, and madam Elaine."
"Back then, miss Lilith, seed to still be shocked, unable to comprehend what was happening, and just followed us."
"But, that’s too changed later."
Suddenly pausing, Hilda’s mind seed to move in ti, to that most shaful mont, where she was unable to fulfill her duty... but, in the end, she shook her head, and continued, " It’s after we settled you and madam Elaine, in our Cross house’s main dinsion, and were trying contain the situation, that suddenly Travis arrived."
Travis, the right hand man, of Derek, the head of the Cross house, soone who was mostly in the Averna dinsion.
"Travis didn’t brother or Nadine, instead he first saw, the remains of the previous head Derek, then, had a private talk with miss Lilith."
"It’s on the next day, that I finally t both of them, and talked with Miss Lilith."
"She talked about what I had in mind, and I didn’t divulge your wish to go to the Order of Veil, and simply stated, that we should wait until you regained your consciousness, and you could decide that on your."
"But, it’s seems like miss Lilith... didn’t like my answer."
Hilda couldn’t help but lower her head, when she arrived at this mont.
Nonetheless, she still continued speaking.
"I was asked to accompany Travis after that... to the Averna continent, and was restricted from ever coming near you."
Hilda didn’t stop talking even while her eyes, refused to et Noel’s.
She explained how, she struggled against that command, and how she fought, Travis, and lost badly, and then, added how, during that ti, that his mother Elaine took her final breath, but, she was unable to see that mont.
And when, she finally departed to the Averna continent, Nadine, who had lost her master, ended up coming with her.
She didn’t state it explicitely, but, Noel already understood the reason of her shabby state... she was trying on her own, to beco stronger.
Far stronger than Travis, and so, she could return back to him.
But, before she could do that, he had regained his mory, and let Lilith summon her back.
Shaking his head, Noel, decided not dwell on the past for now.
The future was what’s important, and it’s seems, it’s quite grim.
That’s why, he simply, told her, that she had done a good job, and she couldn’t have done anything more in that situation, before he called Nadine.
"Greeting young master." she greeted him respectfully.
And Noel, stared at her for a mont, without saying anything.
Unlike Hilda, who was forced to go to the Averna continent, Nadine, had gone there on her own.
She didn’t want to involve herself with the possible to happen dispute between him and Lilith.
For her, who was orginally ca with his mother Elaine from, and was not from the Cross house... his mother was her everything.
And him, her son?
She actually didn’t care about him.
Noel could see that from her unperturbed gaze.
That’s why, he didn’t beat around the bush, or talk about many things, and instead, he entered the main topic imdiately, and asked, "Do, you want to co under ? Or do you want to return back to the Averna continent?"
Nadine was strong, no less, that Hilda who was at the top of the fifth rank, Law Master.
So, if she could co under his banner, it was good.
But, even if she didn’t... it’s not like, he was going to be troubled due to that.
She was not indispensable to him.
So, while in the simulation, he didn’t give her a choice, and that’s how, she had co to be under him.
He didn’t plan to go the sa route.
"Young master, what is your end goal?" Nadine ever so calm, suddenly had her eyes gleam, as she asked.
"Naturally the top," was Noel’s answer.
But, Nadine shook her head, as she elaborated, "I don’t an that."
"As long as you are alive... I, actually had never had even doubted that you are going to reach the top, you are talking about."
"But, what I’m asking for, is more than simply the top."
"It’s about what lay after the Laws."
"Do you know? That, if one is strong enough... then, even returning ti back, and reviving soone is possible?"
"Can you reach that?"
What lays after the Laws?
Noel too didn’t know.
All he knew, is that it’s related to the seventh stage of the transcendent path.
A stage he didn’t even know the na off.
A stage, where even the four major faction leaders...
It’s debatable whether they reached it, or not.
Regardless. Noel, knew, what Nadine wanted.
She wanted to revive his mother back.
Is that possible?
Rescuceting people... it’s an area, that many reach their hands into, but, no one has ever succeeded.
But, does that matter?
"If it’s about reviving mother, then, even without you asking, I’m going to revive her." Noel, said.
His voice that didn’t lack even ounce of conviction, that he was really going to do that, and his tyrannical posture, when he is actually even weaker than he once was, when he was rely eight years old, strangely gave Nadine, so kind of inexplicable confidence
That’s why for the first ti, even since, Elaine passed, Nadine, knelt on her one knee, then, with a solemn tone, and crazy eyes, she said.
"If your path leads beyond the Laws... then I will walk it behind you, even if it breaks . From this mont, so long as you do not turn from that path, I am yours."
Noel nodded, his lips arching ever so slightly, expressing, his satisfaction.
"Then, let’s go, our first step forward... starts from this mont." Noel, said, as he stood up from his seat.
And Nadine, nodded instantly, "Yes, master."
Hilda at the side, who saw everything, felt strangely jealous at the sudden familiar way Nadine called Noel, and so, she stopped at her words of young master, and corrected herself, "Let’s go, master."
.......
Back on the Everen house’s main dinsion, Noel, sat in a reception room, with Hilda, and Nadine behind him, and Selena in front of him.
He has a smile on his face, while Selena?
She was quietly looking a him, having already noticed the changes that happened to him once again.
Not to the extent of the ones before, but still significant enough, that she wouldn’t have found it strange, if she was told that she slept a couple of years, and she didn’t notice.
In the end, attributing all of that, to him, simply being Noel, she shook her head, and asked, "Have you co to brag about regaining back your subordinates, or to have a quite conversation with ?"
Then, seemingly not satisfied with this much, in a sharp voice, she added, "Because, I don’t plan to have it, in the presence of anyone else."
Noel chuckled, before he made a gesture with his hand to let Hilda and Nadine, to go out of the room.
Only then, when they were finally all alone, did Noel open his mouth and say, "Okay, now tell what you have in mind?"
"Shouldn’t you start first?"
"I an, you probably, have more bent up words you have, you want to say to , right?"
Selena asked, as her eyes looked intently at Noel
"Like how you imprisoned ? Covered my eyes and ears? And let feel like shit?" Noel raised his eyebrow, as he bluntly said.
"We are going to talk about that?"
I have never done anything this extre.
Okay, then, what have you done?
I was protecting you from doing anything reckless... from involving yourself in dangerous situations, when you didn’t seem to have the ability to tackle your bad situation.
How nice of you!
Then, its seems I need to thank you?
Well... not to that extent.
Well. Before we continue with our conversation, your mother is still here, right?
She didn’t suddenly have any other business and went away?
