Chapter 71: Chapter 71: The Blessed Child of the Beast God

Rong Ye and Hu Yan imdiately tensed up. They were ready to defend. Su Qinglan’s heart skipped a beat. The sound... it was familiar. She recognized it from the day she first arrived in this world. It was the call for all the beastn to gather at the tribe’s center.

Without wasting ti, they left their work and imdiately stood up. Sothing important had happened.

Then, the trio decided to head toward the tribe center. Su Qinglan asked Stove to stay and guard the cave.

Stove nodded and stayed behind, watching over everything quietly while they walked out.

As Su Qinglan walked, she realized all the other tribe mbers were heading to the center too. Her mind raced. Did sothing happen? Is soone hurt? Or a team simply returning from hunting?

Hu Yan answered her unspoken question. "No hunting teams have gone far. Everyone else is inside the tribe. If soone’s hurt, maybe... but I hope not."

The trio moved forward with tense expressions. As they neared the center, they saw the priest step out from his cave. A hush fell over the crowd. The priest’s presence always ant an important announcent.

Su Qinglan looked around. Her father, the old witch doctor, her mother, and other tribe elders were all gathered. And then, she saw him... a man with a strong physique standing straight. His eyes were sharp and clear, but they were not focused on anything, yet they were piercing at the sa ti.

Her breath caught when his gaze snapped to her, and she almost felt suffocated. Sothing familiar surged inside her. It was the aura of awakened power. This man... he had awakened power, just like her.

Her heart raced. She felt both fear and excitent when she found out that people in the beast world could also awaken power.

But she imdiately cooled down and thought to herself that she had to be careful. She didn’t know what he could do or what he was capable of.

The man withdrew his gaze slowly. By now, the center was packed with beastn, females, and cubs. Hu Yan whispered in her ear, "He is the most respected elder of our tribe. He rarely leaves his cave, especially since the hot season began. If he’s out here, he has important news for all of us."

Su Qinglan nodded, feeling Hu Yan’s calm confidence.

The priest raised his voice, his voice powerful and authoritative. "I have predicted... this rainy season will bring chaos to the beast world. Endless waters will rise, and many beastn, females, and cubs will perish."

The words hit the crowd like a shockwave. "What? Rainy season will bring chaos? And females and cubs would die? How could it be possible?" Their expressions turned pale as they imagined the scene. Their tribe had only a few females and even fewer cubs, and if they died, what would happen to their tribe’s future?

Even the tribe leader and the old witch doctor looked shaken.

The priest continued with an unwavering voice. "In 26 solar days, the rains will arrive. You have 25 days. Bring as much food as you can store. Prepare for heavy rains that will last many days. I cannot tell exactly how long, but it will be very long before it stops."

Su Qinglan’s mind raced. She rembered what she had seen back in her old world. Many people had awakened powers that could predict things like this. They could see the future.

So she instantly believed him. His aura, his eyes... it was the sa. And the tribe trusted him; he must not be lying about such a big thing. That ant now she had to face a rain that could possibly kill many people and bring chaos.

She glanced at Rong Ye, who had violet fla as power, but she knew it was different from her and the priest. Their powers were not related to bloodline. But his was; after all, he was from a fox clan who wielded violet fla.

She realized that awakened powers were rare but possible here, just like back in her world.

The crowd, however, reacted differently. Many were worried. So females started crying. Fear spread like wildfire. The tribe leader and the old witch doctor asked questions, but the priest remained calm.

"I have only seen this. I cannot change the destiny of our world. Prepare yourselves, but know that fate cannot be altered by us."

With that, he turned and started walking towards his cave. Every tribe mber gave him space; they stepped aside respectfully.

Su Qinglan felt a chill but also a strange determination. If this man could predict the right future, then they must prepare for it. She could tell by his serious expression the rain would definitely bring doom to the beast world. And with their primitive way of surviving, they could never fight the torrential rain.

The beastn also thought the sa as they processed the warning. The rainy season would co. Chaos was coming. And there was nothing they could do... except be ready.

The priest was slowly walking back toward his cave. But suddenly, he stopped.

He turned around once more. His cloudy eyes road through the crowd and finally stopped straight on Su Qinglan.

Everyone followed his gaze.

Then, in a deep, steady voice, he said,

"The child blessed by the Beast God...has appeared between us."

A gasp spread through the crowd. Many beastn looked at each other in confusion. Then they realized the priest was looking straight at Su Qinglan, who stood quietly beside her husbands.

For a mont, the whole tribe froze.

Soone whispered, "What? Su Qinglan? How could she be blessed by the Beast God?"

"She’s the laziest female in the tribe," another muttered. "She spends all her ti lazily in her cave!"

"Wait! What does he an by blessed by the Beast God? Did the Beast God co and only et her and not us?"

"Stupid, it ans the Beast God has given her his blessings, and she must know very good things that could help us."

"Did you forget, back in ti, it was Wang Mulan who was blessed by the Beast God, and she helped us in so many ways? But alas, she died so early."
