Chapter 506: Chapter 506: A eting Destined by Fate
Mo Qingli’s gaze slowly turned firm. There was only one way to know the truth. et him. et the father of this child. That was the most important thing.
But the mont that thought appeared, his expression stiffened slightly. A trace of hesitation appeared in his eyes.
Because deep down... he knew. He had been avoiding this. Avoiding it like a plague.
Why? Because he was afraid.
Afraid that the man he would et... would be connected to that man in his mory, or worse... would be the enemy of that man.
His fingers tightened slightly around Xiao San.
So many years had passed. But so fears... never truly disappeared.
Mo Qingli slowly closed his eyes for a mont. Then opened them again, and they were once again calm and deep.
He looked at the child once more. Xiao San was still staring at him, blinking innocently. Completely unaware of the storm in his thoughts.
Mo Qingli suddenly smiled faintly and gently patted his head.
"No matter what..." he murmured softly, "I will find out."
Because so things... could not be avoided forever. And so people... were destined to et again.
Suddenly, a small figure wobbled forward on unsteady legs. Xiao Yi moved toward Su Mingxuan and hugged his legs tightly, his tiny arms wrapping around him with surprising strength for his size.
"Milk... milk..." he mumbled in a soft, pitiful voice, his eyes large and pleading.
Su Mingxuan paused mid step. He glanced down at the cub clinging to him and let out a quiet sigh of understanding.
Ah! Hungry again. Their little stomachs never seed to stay full for long.
Wang Mulan blinked in surprise, her smile fading slightly. "Oh! They need milk!" she exclaid, but then her expression froze.
She suddenly realized she didn’t have any prepared. Finding a lactating beast right now would take far too much ti, and she hated the thought of making the little ones wait.
She looked at the cubs helplessly, then shifted her gaze to Su Mingxuan, hoping he might have a solution.
Su Mingxuan bent down slightly, his voice turning soft and reassuring as he spoke to the cub. "Do you want to go back and drink milk?"
Xiao Yi imdiately nodded his head with enthusiasm. Xiao Er also nodded seriously, his chubby cheeks jiggling a little with the motion. Even Xiao San gave a small agreeing sound, though his expression remained a bit more reserved than his brothers.
Su Mingxuan smiled gently at their responses. "Alright, let’s go. Your mother will be worried too." With that, he carefully scooped all three cubs into his strong arms, holding them securely against his chest.
Wang Mulan’s heart dropped a little at the sight. She watched them with clear reluctance shining in her eyes.
They had just arrived and brought so much joy, and now they were leaving already. The room would feel empty without their playful energy.
The cubs noticed her saddened expression right away. They paused in Su Mingxuan’s arms, exchanging quick glances.
Then, without warning, they wobbled out of his hold again. Step by step, they toddled back toward her on shaky legs, even crawling a short distance when their balance failed.
Before anyone could react, each cub reached up.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
They planted sweet, sloppy kisses on Wang Mulan’s cheeks one after another.
Wang Mulan froze completely. Her eyes widened in shock at the sudden affection.
Then, slowly, they softened with overwhelming warmth. Her heart lted completely under their innocent gesture, filling her with a tender joy she hadn’t expected.
Only then did Su Mingxuan chuckle warmly and pick the three cubs up once more.
"Alright, little sweet talkers. Ti to go," he said, his tone full of fond amusent.
anwhile, Mo Xiao Li had been watching his mother closely. He noticed she still looked a little sad, so he puffed his small chest out proudly.
"Mother, don’t worry!" he declared confidently. "After they drink milk, I will bring them back to play with you!"
Mo Qingli’s eyes imdiately narrowed in suspicion. He muttered darkly under his breath, "Don’t you dare show your little tricks here." Xiao Li froze on the spot. He had clearly heard his father’s warning.
In the next second, he rushed forward and hugged Su Mingxuan’s leg tightly, refusing to let go.
"Father! Please take
with you!" he shouted eagerly. "I swear I won’t cause trouble! I just want to play with my nephews!" He blinked his eyes innocently, trying his best to look angelic.
"And... I heard your tribe has many beautiful aunties. I also want to et them..."
"You brat..." Mo Qingli’s face darkened instantly, a low rumble escaping his throat.
Xiao Li panicked at once. "No! No! I an—!" he stamred quickly. "I just want to take care of my younger nephews!"
Wang Mulan couldn’t hold it in any longer. She burst out laughing at the chaotic scene, her voice light and amused. "Alright, let him go," she said with a warm smile. "He’ll be bored staying here anyway."
Mo Qingli’s eye twitched in irritation. This child... he was a complete little demon. Never quiet. Never obedient for long.
He waved his hand helplessly in defeat. "Brother, if you can tolerate him... then take him," he said. "I was stopping him for your own good."
Su Mingxuan didn’t think too much about it. He simply nodded in agreent. "Alright. I’ll bring him back later."
And just like that, he turned to leave the room. In his arms rested the three hungry cubs, still making soft little sounds of anticipation.
On his leg clung a determined little boy who refused to release his grip.
Xiao Li held on tightly like a koala, his small body dragging along as Su Mingxuan walked.
Su Mingxuan looked down at the clinging child and sighed deeply. "...Just don’t cause trouble," he warned gently.
"Of course!" Xiao Li replied with full confidence, his face beaming with excitent.
Behind them, Mo Qingli crossed his arms and snorted softly. "...He’s definitely going to cause trouble."
Wang Mulan, however, couldn’t help but smile as she watched them go. The house had suddenly beco quiet again after all the noise and laughter.
But her heart... was still warm and full from the sweet kisses and playful chaos the little ones had brought.
