Chapter 200: Chapter 200: New Ho

On the other hand, Han Jue felt like his soul was lting out of his ears. Literally lting.

Every ti Su Qinglan’s warm lips brushed his earlobe, he saw heaven and then hell. And then heaven again.

Finally, unable to take it anymore, he whispered in a voice so soft it trembled: "L-Lan Lan... please... l-leave my ears... my poor ears..."

His whole body shuddered. He was cursing himself inside. Why am I losing control this fast? I’m supposed to be the calm one!

Why do her lips feel so...ahh, Beast, God save .

Su Qinglan blinked up at him with her big watery eyes. Completely unaware of what she was doing to his sanity.

Her lips were wet from nibbling him earlier, shining softly, looking like she had just eaten sothing sweet. And she stared at him like

What? Did I do sothing wrong?

That expression shot straight to his heart like a Cupid’s bow. Han Jue’s breath stopped. His inner beast was howling from inside to outside. But more than that, he was panicking, completely flustered on how to handle this situation.

He couldn’t look at those eyes.

Or those lips.

Or that face.

Or anything belonging to his mate at this mont.

So..."I-I’m sorry!"

Before she could even blink, Han Jue pressed her entire face against his shoulder like she was a naughty cub who needed to be restrained.

He held her firmly in his arms, so tightly she couldn’t move her head an inch.

And then, He started speed-walking like a madman. Like a husband carrying a bomb that was ticking right beside his ear.

His steps got faster, faster, faster. Like he was hell-bent on reaching their new ho in just a few seconds.

Su Qinglan: "..."

Excuse ?

After all that flirting and seducing... After giving him such sweet treatnt... why is she being carried like a naughty child?

Her heart hurt. For herself. For her pride.

For her mouth that was now squished against his shoulder like a child.

Han Jue, anwhile, was ntally screaming, Just reach the new house. If she bites my ear one more ti, I will explode.

And so, with the tiger and fox watching in utter confusion, Han Jue bolted forward with his blushing wife trapped in a "no more kissing " head-lock hug.

Su Qinglan sighed inside. "Can you give

so breathing space...she swore to the heavens she would not do anything."

But only her muffled voice ca out. Which was completely ignored by Han Jue, who thought she would say sothing again that his poor heart couldn’t handle.

Finally, the frantic pace of Han Jue slowed down, and they reached their destination. Su Qinglan’s eyes widened. She was completely taken aback by the sheer amount of activity.

The last ti she had seen the mountaintop, it was just trees marked for houses. Now, it truly looked like a ho. It wasn’t just a gathering spot but a proper settlent.

Each sturdy tree house was occupied by an individual family, and beastn were bustling outside, arranging items and preparing their dwellings.

Soon, they reached their own massive treehouse. Han Jue, still clutching her tightly, climbed inside. Hu Yan and Rong Ye, however, stayed outside. They imdiately began pulling out wooden logs and thick, strong vines.

They were constructing a simple shed right in front of the door, shaped like a downward ’V’.

This would ensure they could stand at the door without being drenched, and, most importantly, the rain would not soak the entrance of their house. They worked diligently, tying the logs with the tough vines.

Inside the treehouse, Su Qinglan felt a rush of happiness.

Han Jue set her down and imdiately started wiping himself down, trying to ensure the rainwater didn’t drip much onto the wooden floor. He quickly shielded himself and changed his soaking wet hide clothes. The huge leaf umbrella hadn’t been enough to protect him completely.

He looked over at Su Qinglan, who was curiously checking out everything in their new ho. He noticed her clothes were damp but not dripping, but enough to make her cold. He imdiately pulled her close.

"Lan Lan, let’s change your clothes. You must be wet," he said with concern.

She shook her head. She explained that she wanted to take a bath first. The wetness from the rain made her feel uncomfortable, and she couldn’t bear to change her clothes without washing herself completely.

Han Jue nodded instantly. He knew better than to argue. He went outside, stepping under the newly constructed shed, to ignite a fire. There was no way he would let her bathe with cold water.

Outside, Rong Ye and Hu Yan were working with intense focus, diligently tightening the shed structure and layering old hides and leaves on top so the rainwater couldn’t seep through. Han Jue started a fire with dry logs right inside the shelter and put a large pot of water on to boil.

Inside, Su Qinglan completely stripped herself. She was now only covered by a single hide wrapped around her body, waiting patiently for her bath.

Soon, Han Jue brought the steaming water inside, pouring it carefully into a large bathing tub they had prepared earlier. Su Qinglan did not wait on the ceremony. She quickly unwrapped the hide and slid into the water.

"Ahhh, so good," she sighed contentedly, sinking into the warmth. She quickly began to wash herself.

She was acutely aware of the intense, hot gaze pinned on her by Han Jue, who was still close by.

Han Jue froze.

Because her back was bare...Her shoulders glowed in the warm steam...Her skin was dripping...And she was bathing right in front of him.

Her hands slid over her skin...Her hair fell wet around her neck...She lifted one leg slightly from the water to rub it or maybe tease him...

Han Jue stood there holding the empty stone bowl, unable to look away; even breathing beca hard for him.

He could only stare at his bold, beautiful mate giving him a personal bathing show. And she looked absolutely pleased with herself.
