“Damn, just how unpopular is this ‘Elite Ga’? It took a whole week just to round up 5 people.”
Regardless, Chen Xiao was fairly lucky since he didn’t have to wait, so he imdiately clicked to join.
System: “The number of participants has reached 5, asking participants if they are ready to prepare.”
Suddenly, the word “Ready” quickly appeared beneath each of the black silhouettes; it seed none of them were in the middle of a mission.
Just then, with a “ding”, another black silhouette popped up behind Chen Xiao and clicked ready.
“Yahoo, when it rains, it pours, huh?” Chen Xiao thought.
System: “6 participants. Please proceed to the “Abnormal Biological Research Institute” in K city, underground level 1, “Elite Ga” area within 1 hour. Failure to appear will be considered a forfeiture.”
Chen Xiao nodded. “Ah, there’s even a special area set up, huh? Alright, let’s see what this ‘Elite Ga’ is all about.”

Then, Chen Xiao set off, wandering around and asking for directions several tis, before he finally found the “Elite Ga” area.
He pushed the door open and was montarily stunned.
Well… how to put it, the atmosphere was quite different from what he had imagined; the environnt here was more akin to a staff lounge, with sofas, TV, pool table, self-service coffee, and beverages, pretty much everything was available.
At the mont, three people—two n and one woman—were sitting at a round table in the middle of the gaming area. Upon seeing Chen Xiao co in, all three turned their gazes toward him.
A tall, thin man hesitated, then asked, “Are you… here to participate in the Elite Ga?”
Chen Xiao nodded, and glanced at the person, who, though seated, showed an upper body that suggested a height of at least 190 cm. With narrow shoulders and a long neck and face, the man had the presence of a “utility pole.”
“I don’t think I’ve seen you before!” the only woman said. She was sitting with her back to the door, so she had to turn around to see Chen Xiao. Compared to the “utility pole,” she seed sturdier, with dark skin and hair neatly tied back, her exposed forearm muscles were much stronger than Chen Xiao’s.
Chen Xiao feigned a humble expression and scratched his head, “I… I’m new here.”
But with his face, the gesture failed to generate any goodwill.
“New? So soone else gave you the ticket to get in?” another man spoke up, a nearly 50-year-old fellow with a full beard and perpetually foggy eyes like he was intoxicated.
Chen Xiao nodded and walked over, “Hmm!”
He said just that one word, because he didn’t yet know the situation and figured the less he said, the better.
The uncle picked at his ear and said, “You took on a mission just to play this? You’ve got so nerve.”
Upon hearing this, Chen Xiao imdiately put on a face as if he wanted to speak, but then on opening his mouth, seed unsure of what to say. He clearly looked like a newbie who had clicked through carelessly, only to realize 100 funds had been deducted and now regretted it but was unwilling to admit his mistake.
At that mont, footsteps sounded from the entrance, and everyone turned to see a man walk in, quite handso with blond hair and sunken eyes, giving off a mixed-race vibe.
“Ah, finally, after nearly a week, we’ve got enough people,” he said, striding over to the table and taking a seat. The others, it seed, all knew him.
“Eh? Who is this?” he asked, noticing Chen Xiao with a look of confusion.
Chen Xiao put on what he thought was a fairly cute smile and said, “My na is Chen Xiao!”
The blond hottie was visibly repulsed by the smile, nearly cursing out loud but managed to hold it back, “Ch… nice to et you, nice to et you, I’m Wang Billy.”
Soon, the last person arrived, a man in his twenties exuding elegance, wearing glasses, and always smiling amiably. Interestingly, it seed no one else knew him either. The “muscle sister” asked, “Are you new too?” He smiled and nodded his head.
Now, all six participants for this “Elite Confrontation” had arrived.
Even though the environnt was pleasant and everyone chatted casually, Chen Xiao knew this was just a facade, a performance to mask their true selves. Rocks could be seen, but it was the undercurrents that were truly dangerous.
“Buzz”
Everyone’s cellphone vibrated at once.
Chen Xiao took out his phone and saw a new ssage.

“Black and White Ga”
Detailed ga rules: Each player will be assigned a color, “Black” or “White,” at random every round. The players cannot know their own color but can check on their phones the colors of the other players. Every 5 minutes, the system will ask the players about the color assigned to them (a correct answer allows you to continue to the next round, a wrong one ans elimination). During the questioning, other players must anonymously choose a color to tell that player through their phones (either answer may be given, and all are anonymous).
No private communication is allowed, and looking at others’ phones will result in disqualification.
Ti limit: 60 minutes.
When ga ti ends (or only one player remains), the surviving players will split the rewards of this ga equally.

Chen Xiao read the ga rules very carefully four tis, then counted silently for five seconds before raising his head with a frown, looking around at the other people. He noticed that out of the other five seated at the table, excluding Wang Billy and the bearded uncle, the rest had already raised their heads, observing each other.
That’s when the scruffy uncle looked up, annoyed, and threw his phone on the table, “What’s all this? It’s a ss, black this, white that. Can soone explain this to ?”
The others ignored him, the “utility pole” closest to him even blocked his eyes with his hand as if to say, “Daring to join ‘Elite Confrontation’ and picking the ‘thinking’ part, it’s not like many of us are fools here, what’s the point of this act?”
The scruffy uncle gave an embarrassed laugh and picked his phone back up.
Chen Xiao smiled inwardly, musing, “Hmm… guessing whether I’m ‘Black’ or ‘White’? The rules are simple enough. But… they’ve already started scheming against each other, huh… hehehe…”
