Chapter 64: More Valuable Than I Think (2)

[Maxcal (officer): Guild leader! Why didn’t you answer my call? I’ve been calling you for so ti now!]

[BOSS Kang (Guild Leader): Really? Did you call ? I left my phone behind when I went out to eat. What’s up? Why did you call ?]

[Maxcal (officer): There is big trouble in the Rocky Zone right now. A strange guy with a robe and a mask covering his entire face appeared and slaughtered our guild mbers who were catching stone squirrels!

[BOSS Kang (Guild Leader): What did you say? Who the hell is it? Didn’t you do anything to stop that guy? You know how important the stone squirrels are!]

[Maxcal (officer): We tried to stop him. Since I could not contact you, I organized a vanguard team and dispatched them to the Rocky Zone, but the guy was so quick and clever that we couldn’t get rid of him. Besides, that guy targeted those hunting teams who were relatively weak!]

[BOSS Kang (Guild Leader): Oh no, damn it! Who is this damn bastard? I wonder if he intruded into our Rocky Zone deliberately.]

[Maxcal (officer): I don’t know. But considering that he is alone, I think we have to catch him first. ]

[BOSS Kang (Guild Leader): Okay. Let go there straight away. Mobilize our guys right now.]

[Maxcal (officer): Got it. Please co quickly.]

Soktae Kang, who used BOSS Kang as his ID, quickly exited the Gahwa Guild;s stronghold and moved to Pioneers’ City’s Teleport Zone.

Then, he spat out curses.

‘I hope this guy hasn’t co to my place after slling a rat. Obviously those who threw out this golden thread told nobody would know it.’

There was big noise in the Rocky Zone when he arrived.

“What the heck is going on?”

“I heard there is so crazy bastard inside the Rocky Zone. Is that true?”

“Hey, hee is not just a crazy guy. He is actually targeting us. I heard four of our teams were devastated by this guy.”

“Oh my God…”

“Our leader ordered us to stop hunting and return to the Safety Zone imdiately.”

“Okay, let’s go. We don’t have to be killed for no reason. There is an order that we are not supposed to deal with a crazy guy anyway.”

These were the mbers of the fifth Gahwa Guild hunting party that I had encountered. They were noisy. Obviously the rumors about had spread very quickly. So, I attacked them imdiately, firing a barrage of my skills.

“Ice Field! Multiple Thin Ice!”

As soon as the Ice Field started forming, it was reinforced with thin ice.

And the Ice Field quickly changed into thicker ice.

“Kuuueh!”

“What the heck!”

“Damn it. That crazy guy appeared!”

“Escape! I clearly read a thread in the guild chat room that this crazy guy’s Ice Field is not a normal ice field.”

“Damn it! Wasn’t the main effect of the Ice Field to decrease the opponent’s movent speed? Man, I’m losing vitality so quickly…”

I burst into laughter at their ridiculous reaction because I only used Thin Ice to reinforce the Ice Field. But the chaotic situation of a battlefield was unfolding before my eyes. So, I imdiately used another skill to muddle the situation even more and confuse the opponent; a standard strategy.

“Pouring Hailstones! Ice Blast!”

Puck! Puck! Puck!

“Damn it!”

“We are taking so much damage…”

“Shit! This is not just a crazy guy…”

Until a mont ago, I had fought a total of four hunting parties of the Gahwa Guild. But this was my second ti fighting against users. My first battle was with the eleven Daesung Guild mbers at the ant den. And I defeated them very easily back then.

I was now Level 200 compared to my previous Level 101. But I could not simply describe it as a 99 level increase because I also wore the Scorpion’s King’s accessories that would increase my intellect by 100, and also gained 200 stat points from the Scorpion King’s quest.

Moreover, at that ti I was wearing shallow disposable armor. At that ti I also had yet to purchase the Precious-grade Saidin’s armor set. But now, I have the Precious-grade Elsha’s armor set. So, I could understand why they were thrown into such confusion.

“By the way, why are you guys escaping here? Ice Prison!” I didn’t stop attacking them.

Since they were ordered to return to the Safety Zone by Soktae Kang, the guild leader, there were so guild mbers running away leaving their colleagues behind.

So, I used the skill, Ice Prison, for the first ti.

Thump!

An Ice Prison the size of a house imdiately trapped five guild mbers who were trying to run away. Of course, those who were trapped in the Ice Prison resisted fiercely.

“Damn it. Break it!”

“Fireball!”

“Fatal blow.”

“Triple Shot!”

Those trapped in the Ice Prison seed to have so combat experience.

So, when one of them shouted, “Break it!”, the other four targeted one part of the Ice Prison and persistently attacked it.

But they soon found it was very difficult to break it open.

“Man, this ice is so hard!”

“I can’t even crack it. So hard!”

In fact, I was also slightly worried that it might be broken through. Despite their nurous attacks, the ice prison did not even receive a single hairline crack. So, I left them alone and used Ice Sphere and Multiple Ice Arrow to get rid of the rest of the Gahwa Guild mbers.

Of course they resisted my attack.

“Get lost! You dog! Wind Spear!”

“Soar up and wrap my enemies, Root of Death!”

“Summon, Earth Spirit, Earth spirit!”

“Poison Arrow!”

Puck! Puck! Puck!

At this mont, I was attacked on several fronts. But that was it. I was receiving so little damage to the extent I frowned. And it seed that they were shocked by the fact that their attack didn’t inflict any damage to . Obviously, my image in their eyes was a suprely powerful Ice wizard. As such, their morale was completely shattered by my formidable resilience.

By using Ice Spear that had a short cooldown ti, I easily got rid of these guild mbers whose morale was completely broken What I had left to dispose of was the five guild mbers trapped in the Ice Prison.

, I walked toward them leisurely as if I was enjoying a stroll. Then I held out both hands to them.

“?”

“?”

“What the heck are you…”

They expressed strong doubts about my behavior.

So, I opened my mouth quietly.

“Okay. Even though you are in a precarious situation right now, you don’t want to give the chunks of stone squirrel’s undigested minerals, right? Well, I might look like a thief to you, but even if you are killed here, you will just experience a slight loss of EXP and a penalty of 24-hour access denial, so you don’t want to give the mineral lumps. Yeah, I agree.”

Of course, I was anxious to question them about the use of stone squirrel’s undigested mineral mass. But I didn’t ask.

Rather, I behaved as if I already knew the mineral mass’s use so I could bait them into letting the secret out voluntarily.

But things didn’t work out as I expected.

“We can’t give you the mineral mass because we have to report it to the chat room as soon as we acquire them.”

“Right. The guild officers check our report carefully for verification later.”

So, I imdiately found out that their purpose was collecting not tolls, but the chunk of undigested minerals from stone squirrels. Of course I thought these minerals would be precious. So, I asked, pretending not to know it’s preciousness, “Hmm… why do you need such a large number of undigested minerals? I don’t think you need…”

I deliberately beat around the bush, so they could clearly understand my point.

And one of them bit the bait.

“I don’t know what they are doing with this mineral chunk. But they pay 5,000 won to all of the hunting party mbers every ti we obtain one of these.”

Of course, the guy took the bait, but unfortunately his tips were not useful. So, none of the five mbers knew the exact use of these undigested minerals. But I discovered that the value of this mineral was much greater than I thought. Each hunting party consisted of about 20 mbers. So, if one hunting party of 20 mbers collected 100 chunks, or at least 50 chunks, they would have to pay a total of 5 million.

There were several hunting parties. I failed to obtain information on its use, but acquired so tips that were useful. So I gave them a present, naly a quick death, because I knew that the more quickly they died, the more quickly they could access the ga again.

“Ice Blast.”

Puck! Puck! Puck!

The composition of the Ice Prison was ice, of course.

In other words, they were the target of the Ice Blast.

“Damn it!”

“You dog!”

Of course, they sweared at , as if they didn’t like my gift.

But I didn’t care. The mont I accepted this A-class quest, they were my enemies, so the only consideration I could give them was death, and a quick death at that.
