Chapter 106: Impossible Quest (1)
[Level 400 regular quest ‘Stop the Scorpion King’ begins.
-Each defense unit will be moved to a unique defensive position, and you must stop the attack of the scorpions for a total of 6 rounds.

Of course, I was being moved to the 7th defense line in Area B.
And I ca into contact with so mbers of my unit who looked at with envy just like so people when they saw celebrities they admired.
Moreover, this was my second challenge. During my first challenge, no one looked at like that.
Back then, they looked at with a critical and displeased expression.
Of course, I understand why they cast such an unpleasant glance at back then because my na Asirante was not known to them and I was only level 131, which was not high enough for to participate in the level 400 regular quest.
Anyway, I was pondering over my changed situation when most mbers of my unit approached all of a sudden.
“Hello, Asirante!”
“It’s an honor to et you!”
“I am Sanghyon Baek, and I use the ID Raon. I have always admired you, Asirante.”
I was now so popular among them that I didn’t even envy celebrities at the mont.
Of course, so of them were jealous.
“Who the hell is this guy? Why are they flattering him so crazily?”
“Yeah, that’s what I want to know too.”
The na Asirante was famous, but it didn’t an that everyone knew it. But I didn’t care because those who should know it already knew , for example, Daeyu’s Chairman Daeyoung Suh.

When I look at the other guys here, I can’t seem to find any other famous man, so I think it’s almost impossible for our defense unit to beat our competitors here and win 1st place. So, if Asirante takes the lead and wins the quest, I think all of us will be grateful to you. I just want to ask you earnestly to lead us in this quest.”
“I agree with him!”
“Asirante, way to go!”
No one threw cold water over my initiative.
Of course, there were so who complained about , saying what the heck I was talking about because there was a clear limit to what only one person could do.
But I ignored such complaints because they would soon find out even if I didn’t explain to them one by one.
Anyway, the atmosphere of the 91st Defense Unit that I belonged to was very good.
Amid such a good atmosphere, a ssage announcing the start of the 1st round rang.

Until now, I had always used Thin Ice with Ice Field. And that was the common practice of the ice type wizards like .
Ice Field had levels 2, 5, and 7, but it took a considerable amount of ti to upgrade it from level 2 to level 5, so the level 3 Thin Ice existed to make up for that wide gap.
But this ti, I didn’t use it with Ice Field on purpose. Instead, I used Thin Ice right next to the place where I used Ice Field. And right next to it, I used Pouring Hailstone and Ice Storm.
Pitter-patter! Pitter-patter!

The wounded scorpions that entered the realm of my Ice Storm and Pouring Hailstone were unable to move even a few steps, then collapsed with their thick-looking exoskeleton smashed.
Of course, it wasn’t just the wounded scorpions that were killed by that attack.
While stepping on the Ice Field pompously, other scorpions also fell even before they reached halfway across it. But other scorpions endured Thin Ice, which itself had the weakest attack power.
So, it was impossible to kill the scorpions with Thin Ice itself.

Moreover, this quest ‘Stop the Scorpion King’ is a quest that any user who was level 400 or below could participate in. In other words, it is a quest designed for level 400 players. So, it was a piece of cake for as I was far stronger than a normal level 400 player.
Anyway, I easily cleared the 1st round, and easily cleared rounds 2,3 and 4 that followed.
As if to prove it, the scoreboard revealed a significant score difference between the 1st and 2nd place.

-2nd place: 27th Defense Unit (352,191 points)
-3rd place: 155th Defense Unit (347,225 points)
When the 1st round was over, so called my na and cheered for .
But as the rounds progressed, their cheering disappeared.
Instead, there was silence, which lasted until the end of the 6th round, the last one.
And at the end of the 6th round, there appeared a ssage congratulating the 91st Defense Unit on achieving 1st place. I muttered in a low voice, “Man, I could clear this level 400 regular quest alone.”
That voice beca a catalyst for the mbers of my unit.
“Thank you.”
“Thanks to you, Asirante, we won first place in this last quest.”
“You were aweso! I think I now know why people are crazy about you!”
They kept admiring with awe and shock on their faces.
“You’re welco. Thank you for making concessions to until round 6.”
It was who rather thanked them.
Obviously, even those who actively supported could not have known that I would perfectly defend all the way to the end of the 6th round.
And a new ssage appeared after that.

Along with that ssage, a really small size Scorpion King appeared.
Of course, I had gotten rid of the Scorpion King before with just a single Ice Spear.
The 6th round was over.

All the others aside from were at a loss, not knowing whether to smile or not.
At that mont, another ssage related to the rewards finally rang.
[Rewards are given according to each mber’s contribution.]
[This is the reward for Asirante.
-You have acquired a significant amount of EXP.
-You have acquired 25.5 million golden rings.
-You have acquired 1000 coins.
-You have acquired the Scorpion King’s necklace.]

I obtained this kind of reward from the beginning, so there was sothing else I had in mind as far as rewards were concerned.
And a ssage rang just as I expected.

When I first cleared this quest, I got 200 remaining stat points, so I thought I would earn at least 400 or more because my contribution was several tis higher compared to before.
But I didn’t complain because even 300 remaining stat points was huge.
