Ji Wei’s eyes grew moist once more.
Seeing Mo Qian returning with shopping bags, she quickly wiped away her tears and smiled at him as if nothing was wrong.
"Even if you don’t have an appetite, you should eat sothing first to settle your stomach, okay?"
Mo Qian handed her the bread and milk he had bought, speaking to her gently.
The milk was heated, warm and pleasant, and the bread had a faint wheat aroma. Although Ji Wei still didn’t want to eat, the thought of the fragile fetus inside her made her push herself to swallow the food.
The soft bread didn’t seem so hard to eat after all.
She slowly finished the bread and milk, her empty stomach now full, her mood seed to improve a bit.
The doctor only said the chances were high, but it’s not absolute, right?
Perhaps, as ti passes day by day, the fetus inside might grow well.
No matter what, she would never easily give up on her child!
Mo Qian waited for her to finish eating before starting the car.
He silently watched her swallow her food, knowing how difficult each bite was yet she still tried hard to eat, even smiling at him.
Mo Qian’s heart tightened, making it hard to breathe; he forced himself to pick up the docunts in the car to distract himself, yet his hand holding the docunts trembled slightly.
Back at the apartnt, Mo Qian imdiately went to the kitchen to cook noodles for Ji Wei.
Soon, a bowl of nutritious tomato egg noodles was served at the dining table.
The sweet and sour sll of the tomatoes suddenly whetted Ji Wei’s appetite.
She picked up the chopsticks and began to eat the noodles.
Mo Qian then went to the balcony to make a phone call: "Shi Ye, I have sothing to ask you for advice..."
Ji Wei finished eating and looked back to see him still on the phone. She couldn’t tell who he was talking to, but Mo Qian’s expression was unusually serious.
Is it a company matter?
Ji Wei picked up the bowl and stood, intending to wash it first.
Before she could turn on the faucet, the man’s broad hand covered hers: "Weiwei, let wash it."
"You made noodles; it’s only right I wash the bowl." Ji Wei replied with a smile.
"You’re pregnant, from now on leave everything at ho to , you don’t need to do anything." Mo Qian gently escorted her out of the kitchen, speaking softly.
Ji Wei stood with her back to him, a flash of pain crossing her eyes. She bit her lower lip hard but replied in a cheerful tone, "Okay, I’ll listen to you."
Mo Qian looked at her delicate back and felt a pang in his heart, suddenly reaching out from behind to gently embrace her.
"Weiwei, let’s go back to the country." he whispered softly beside her petite, fair ear.
Not expecting him to suddenly ntion returning to the country, Ji Wei turned to look at him in surprise.
"Dad’s health is improving day by day, and now you’re pregnant, I hope you can nourish the baby well in a familiar environnt. Returning to Rongcheng, you can visit the Ji Family often, Grandma surely misses you."
They had been away for over two months, and Ji Wei indeed missed her ho in Rongcheng.
"Okay, let’s go back."
She turned around, wrapped her arms tightly around the man’s waist, her face against his firm chest, nodding in agreent.
Mo Qian couldn’t help but hold Ji Wei tightly, resting his head on her shoulder, his dark eyes filled with complex emotions.
Two days later, they boarded the plane back to the country with An An.
Old Madam Ji, missing her little great-grandson dearly, personally ca to the airport to pick them up.
"Grandma!" As soon as An An saw Old Madam Ji, he dashed into her arms.
"Ah!"
Old Madam Ji responded quickly, grinning widely.
An An had grown taller and gained weight, Old Madam Ji had to exert effort to lift him up: "Look, our precious An An is getting sturdier and more handso, who knows how many girls he’ll charm in the future!"
