William happened to look up, and his gaze collided with the woman’s. His eyes showed a hint of surprise, and he quickly made a gesture, indicating for her to go downstairs.

Ji Wei noticed Mo Qian still chatting with the man, likely not ending anyti soon. She hesitated for a mont and decided to go downstairs to take a look.

Perhaps William had sothing to say to her.

Seeing Ji Wei approaching, William swiftly reached out and pulled her behind a nearby pillar.

Ji Wei’s back was against the pillar, the man in front of her was tall, his hand propped up beside her head, flashing an improper, mischievous smile, "Didn’t expect your blonde look to be so charming, too stunning."

"I didn’t co down to listen to your nonsense, if you don’t want to talk, I’m leaving." Ji Wei frowned, displeased, and said coldly, turning her head to leave.

"Complinting you is not allowed?" William stepped forward to block her path.

"Sorry, I have no feelings about your complints." Ji Wei retorted coldly.

William’s green eyes watched her, then he stopped smiling and asked seriously, "Have you seen Yamamoto Yu?"

"He is in the underground casino."

William seed aware there was a casino here, showing no surprise, "Besides Yamamoto Yu, the big figure you’re truly looking for shouldn’t have appeared yet."

"Do you know who it is?" Ji Wei asked in surprise.

William gave her a deep look, "Your husband didn’t tell you?"

Ji Wei frowned, "It’s none of your business."

"I’ve investigated your husband’s whereabouts during that half-year in Britain. He got involved with a certain European drug lord. That person disappeared after a major fire, so say he perished in the flas. But judging by my instincts, he is likely still alive."

"Is that person also the one who instructed to harm Mo Qian’s father?" she blurted out.

Upon hearing William say this, Ji Wei wasn’t surprised, pretending otherwise.

Though she had suspected Mo Qian might have gotten involved in sothing dangerous during that ti, possibly acquiring a drug addiction then. But she wasn’t clear on the specifics.

"There’s such a possibility. From my investigation, your husband’s family was tangled with this group since his grandfather’s generation. Events that followed were absolutely no coincidence. If this group isn’t completely eliminated, it’ll surely beco a hidden threat." William said sternly.

Ji Wei bit her lip and remained silent.

If she rembered correctly, Mo Qian’s grandparents died in a car accident, and then Gu Zhizhou had a similar car accident incident... The more she thought, the more terrified she beca.

The situation had entirely surpassed her expectations, they are facing a very strong opponent, can they really resolve it smoothly tonight?

Ji Wei felt extrely apprehensive, she instinctively looked upstairs.

The place where Mo Qian stood could be seen from downstairs, but at this mont the corridor on the second floor was empty. He and that man were both gone.

Ji Wei suddenly felt panicked, she pushed William aside and hurriedly ran upstairs.

William intended to follow but as soon as he appeared, the black-clad bodyguard tailing him began moving quickly towards him. He had to temporarily avoid them, escaping in another direction.

Ji Wei lifted her skirt and rushed upstairs, the skirt she wore was too long making it inconvenient to walk, coupled with high heels, she wobbled on the staircase and suddenly fell backward!

Before Ji Wei could cry out, an arm suddenly extended behind her, supporting her body.

"Thank you."

She gratefully turned around, and upon seeing Yamamoto Yu’s feigned amiable face, Ji Wei’s heart nearly jumped out!
