After the doctor left, Ji Wei looked at Gu Zhizhou’s face, exceptionally pale with his eyes closed, still feeling lingering fear.

Ji Wei maintained her position, hugging her knees, able to feel the gentle touch of the man’s long fingers combing through her hair.
Seeing that the woman still appeared burdened with worries, Mo Qian spoke, "Are you still thinking about today’s events?"
"Yes, I can’t understand why Yamamoto Yu’s people would go after Dad. In Tokyo, we offended him, and even if he were to retaliate, he shouldn’t be targeting Dad."
Those harrowing days in Tokyo, Ji Wei still didn’t want to recall. More so, she didn’t want Gu Zhizhou drawn into danger because of them.

Ji Wei turned in surprise, blurting out, "You know who’s trying to harm Dad, don’t you?"
Mo Qian gently rubbed her almost dried hair, slowly speaking, "Just so guesses."
"I rember you said Dad’s car accident at that ti was also an accident. Is this the sa group as last ti? And these people seem closely linked with Yamamoto Yu..."
"Weiwei, don’t think too much."
Mo Qian abruptly interrupted her train of thought.
