Ji Wei tried hard to recall if there were any details she had overlooked in her past life, but her head was injured, and the effort brought sharp pain.

She frowned and raised her hand to press on the bandages wrapped around her head, trying to stop the pain.

Seeing this, Gu Moqian imdiately beca anxious, his warm big hand covering hers, speaking hurriedly: "Does it hurt a lot? I’ll go get the doctor—"

"Mo Qian."

Ji Wei slightly raised her voice to stop him, shaking her head slowly: "No need, it only hurt because I tried to rember sothing just now, I’m feeling better now."

Hearing her say this, Gu Moqian was still worried but obeyed and sat back down in the chair, "Don’t strain yourself trying to rember; anything you want to know, I’ll tell you."

Ji Wei gazed at the man’s handso face, opened her mouth but choked up unable to speak. How could she even ask, ask him what kind of relationship they really had in their past life...

Yet, seeing him bla himself like that pained her greatly, her heart felt heavy and suffocated.

Clearly, it wasn’t Gu Moqian’s fault; he had no reason to bla himself.

Was she being too selfish, still hiding the fact of her rebirth up to this point? She should tell him, no matter what, he had the right to know.

Whatever his reaction—anger, rejection, or forgiveness—that would be his choice; she didn’t want there to be an unbreakable secret between them.

Ji Wei took a deep breath, her bright eyes misted by the forthcoming words, her voice hoarse as she finally spoke: "Mo Qian."

She called out softly, paused, and then continued: "I’m sorry, I lied to you. I’m not the girl you liked since you were young... She’s already dead. I am re—"

Before she could finish saying "reborn," the man suddenly reached over and cupped her face gently, his soft lips imdiately pressed against hers.

"You don’t need to say anything. I already understand what’s going on. I love you; you think I don’t love your past self? I still love you, silly girl, how could you not see it..."

Gu Moqian restrained his emotions, his eyes rimd in red as he gazed deeply into hers, finishing his statent with another passionate kiss upon her lips.

Taking care of Ji Wei’s head injury, although the intense emotions made him want to hold her into his heart, he kept his actions gentle, slowly coaxing her lips open and entering, entwining.

In the mont Gu Moqian’s words fell, Ji Wei’s tears flowed like a river burst its banks, clearly happy enough to fly but unable to stop the tears from falling.

She, filled with joy, matched the man’s kiss, even voluntarily reaching to hug the man’s neck, this mont, even if she drowned in Gu Moqian’s kiss, she was willing.

The nurse at the doorway wanted to co in and change Ji Wei’s bandages, but upon seeing the two tightly embracing and kissing on the hospital bed, she enviously yet quickly retreated, even closing the door considerately.

The temperature in the room rose sharply, the sounds of breathing and the mingling of fluid clearly audible.

Ji Wei blushed, kissed to the point of feeling a bit out of breath, sensing her head hurt again.

Noticing her discomfort, Gu Moqian imdiately released her lips; despite his body having already reacted, he restrained himself and did not continue.

"It’s my fault; you’re injured, yet I kept pushing for kisses. Lie down and rest well, okay?" Gu Moqian’s eyes were full of gentle light, and his tone was extrely tender.
