Ji Wei stood there, watching the refined and handso man suddenly drop to one knee and pick up a silk-covered box. Her heart raced uncontrollably, and a trace of nervousness crept in without rhy or reason.
Mo Qian slowly opened the box and took out a simple, pure gold ring.
Ji Wei already had a diamond the size of a dove egg, but because she was afraid it might scratch An An, she only wore her wedding ring during significant occasions.
But the ring before her eyes was set with an embedded diamond—clearly, Mo Qian had long considered whether it would be convenient for her to carry the child.
Mo Qian was dressed tonight in his everyday black suit paired with a white shirt. At this mont, holding the golden ring aloft, his profound gaze locked onto her, making Ji Wei feel deeply moved. Her eyes ward, and she had the urge to cry.
She could hardly imagine that after already having a child, this incredibly distinguished man would still make up for a marriage proposal.
"Weiwei, marry ."
Mo Qian looked at her with sincere eyes, his thin lips parting slightly as he waited for her answer.
Even though the two had already had their marriage certificate for nearly two years, hearing him say those words again still brought Ji Wei to tears.
She bit her lip softly and nodded firmly.
A smile erged in Mo Qian’s brows and eyes. He took her hand and slipped the ring onto her finger. It aligned perfectly with the wedding band she was already wearing, an unexpectedly harmonious pairing.
Ji Wei’s eyes reddened, her voice trembling with emotion: "We’re already an old married couple, and you’re still doing this—are you intentionally trying to make cry?"
She pouted slightly and raised her hand to wipe away the tears at the corner of her eyes.
Mo Qian held her fair fingers tightly, lowering his gaze to the two rings on her hand before gently lifting her hand and pressing a deep, tender kiss on the back of it.
Ji Wei broke into a smile at his actions, the curve of her lips enchanting as the radiant shimr of her sparkling, clear eyes lit up.
After weathering the storm of a near-divorce, Ji Wei had co to realize how precious monts like these truly were.
"Mo Qian, no matter how many tis you propose, I’ll marry you every single ti. In this life, I’ll only marry you. Thank you for always pampering and cherishing . Thank you for giving a smart and adorable baby. I hope our family of three can always stay happy like this..."
Recalling how Mo Qian had secretly injected himself with tranquilizers, Ji Wei felt a pang of soreness in her chest. She was terrified of losing him. But tonight’s atmosphere was clearly not the ti to ask him why he had done so.
With those thoughts in her heart, Ji Wei cherished the beauty of the present even more.
"Are you sure it’s just the three of us, and not four or five or maybe more?" Mo Qian teased her with a smile as he raised a brow.
Ji Wei froze for a mont, tears still clinging to the corners of her eyes.
Was he planning to turn her into soone who’d birth an entire soccer team?
She lowered her head shyly, but the man quickly tilted her chin upward, his gaze diving into hers: "Do you want to have lots of children with ?"
Ji Wei blinked in surprise, then slowly yet solemnly nodded, "I do."
Mo Qian’s smile deepened further.
Looking at his smile, Ji Wei felt her heart overflowing. The next second, she suddenly wrapped her arms around Mo Qian’s neck, her tear-filled eyes lifting as she offered him a long and tender kiss.
Her movents were far from practiced as she traced the contours of his lips, her tongue gently parting his teeth, their breaths intertwining...
As the two kissed, radiant fireworks blossod over the distant ocean, lighting up the night sky. Countless bursts ford the shape of a heart, within it the initials of their nas.
Onlookers raised their heads in unison to watch the fireworks illuminate the sky, knowing it was a display of love. Without exception, their eyes were filled with envy.
