After buying drinks and a bento at the convenience store next to the hotel, Ji Wei walked back with the shopping bag.
Stepping through the hotel’s revolving door, she hadn’t taken a few steps towards the elevator when her footsteps suddenly paused.
A few steps away from her, a man also waiting for the elevator stood there, his tall and upright figure recognizable at a glance.
That was Gu Moqian.
He had changed into a dark blue suit, hands in his trouser pockets. The tailored suit outlined his physique as balanced and perfect, with his extraordinarily long legs standing straight, exuding an aura of unapproachable nobility and aloofness.
Ji Wei was stunned as she watched, unconsciously tightening her grip on the shopping bag.

The elevator quietly ascended.
There were others between them, which kept Ji Wei from feeling too tense. However, as the floors went up, others exited the elevator one by one.
In the end, only Ji Wei and Gu Moqian were left in the elevator.
Of all things, the floors they needed to reach were adjacent, 32 and 33.
Staying in such a narrow confined space with Gu Moqian, Ji Wei felt completely uncomfortable.
Neither of them spoke, and the atmosphere was extrely oppressive.

Ji Wei’s body was trembling, surrounded by darkness and fear at that mont.

In the dark silence, the man’s deep, hoarse voice sounded by her ear, possessing a calming power.
