"Was it instead of you?" Mo Qian’s brows furrowed slightly with impatience.

Xi Nanfeng glanced resentfully at Ji Wei, whose belly was noticeably round, and decisively gave up resisting. "Fine, I’ll do it."

He propped Ye Cheng’s head against his shoulder, held a cup of water in the other hand, and shouted gruffly, "Old Ye, drink so water."

Ye Cheng’s lips remained tightly sealed, motionless.

"How are you supposed to drink if you don’t open your mouth?" Xi Nanfeng panicked and shook Ye Cheng. "Wake up, Old Ye!"

The drunken Agent Ye showed no reaction whatsoever.

Xi Nanfeng, deflated like a punctured balloon, pushed Ye Cheng onto the sofa, set the cup down, and declared, "I’m done babysitting a drunk. You all deal with this ss. I’m heading ho to sleep."

Just as he was about to stand up, he froze under Mo Qian’s cutting gaze. "You’re not letting leave?"

"Old Ye is your responsibility to look after. I need to take Weiwei upstairs to sleep." Mo Qian walked over to Ji Wei, placing his hands gently on her shoulders before shooting a look at Xi Nanfeng.

Xi Nanfeng’s face was full of disbelief. "Are you kidding ? I’m a grown man taking care of another grown man?!"

"Well, who told you to not stop him from getting drunk in the first place?"

"How is that my fault?! I’m taking the bla for nothing." Xi Nanfeng muttered.

Mo Qian shot him a side-eye before steadily escorting Ji Wei upstairs.

"Hey, Old Mo, are you seriously dumping him on ?"

"You have absolutely no conscience!"

The bedroom door closed, blocking out Xi Nanfeng’s voice.

Ji Wei spoke with concern, "I don’t think Second Young Master has any experience. Can he really care for Mr. Ye properly?"

"There’s a first ti for everything." Mo Qian loosened his tie before taking off his jacket.

Ji Wei took it and hung it on the rack. "You should go check on them in a bit," she continued.

Mo Qian walked over and hugged her from behind. "You’re a pregnant woman now. Don’t dwell on unnecessary worries. Just eat well and sleep well—that’s your only job."

"Are you raising like a pig?" Ji Wei giggled. "I’ve gained so much weight lately."

"Still beautiful, no matter what." Mo Qian planted a kiss on her plump cheek. "Off to bed with you now."

He took Ji Wei’s hand and led her to the bed.

Just as they lay down, a loud crash followed by clanging sounds ca from downstairs, like sothing had been knocked over.

Mo Qian and Ji Wei exchanged glances. She gave a teasing smile and moved away from his arm. "You’d better go down and help; I really don’t trust Second Young Master to manage this."

Mo Qian, his face darkened, headed downstairs, where he saw Xi Nanfeng helping Ye Cheng out of the bathroom.

"Old Mo, finally, you ca down!" Xi Nanfeng greeted him like he’d seen a savior. "Get over here and help —I’m about to lose my mind dealing with him."

Earlier, Ye Cheng had thrown up all over him, forcing him to toss his expensive suit straight into the trash.

The stench alone had nearly made Xi Nanfeng retch as well.

"Let’s get him to the guest room first."

Mo Qian stepped in to assist, and together, they carried Ye Cheng to the guest room bed.

"Take off his clothes and shoes."

Xi Nanfeng turned his head to glare silently at the commanding Mo Qian. Though full of grievance, he obeyed and removed Ye Cheng’s shoes, socks, and outerwear.

"I’ve never cared for a woman this thoroughly. Old Ye, you’re truly blessed." Xi Nanfeng grumbled.

Perhaps having thrown up made Ye Cheng feel better, as he soon fell asleep in bed.

"Ugh, looks like I’m stuck sleeping on the sofa tonight." Xi Nanfeng sighed, lying down with his head resting on one arm and shaking his leg.

Mo Qian walked over, one hand in his pocket, his expression serious. "Before Old Ye got drunk, are you sure he didn’t say anything at all?"
