Chen Ke had always been efficient. Before Mo Qian finished work, he placed Shen Li’s statent on his desk.

After reading the report, Mo Qian casually tossed it onto the desk, his expression as cold as frost. "Handle Shen Li as you see fit. You know what to do."

It seed Shen Li’s dical career had effectively ended. Not only that, no hospital in Rongcheng would accept her. Awaiting her would be legal consequences for violating dical ethics and attempted murder!
That evening, when Mo Qian returned ho, he pushed open the bedroom door and saw Ji Wei staring blankly out the window.
Walking over, he wrapped his arms around her from behind and asked softly, "What are you thinking about?"

Her voice trembled slightly.

On his way ho, Mo Qian had already explained everything about Shen Li over the phone. Ji Wei carefully recalled what had happened that day after returning from the hospital, confirming that she had indeed taken the pills right after coming back.

The worry in her eyes hadn’t faded, and Mo Qian felt a pang of heartache. He kissed her forehead soothingly, "I’ll call Doctor Shi right now. He’s an expert in this area."
"Okay." Ji Wei nodded, a faint smile finally appearing on her lips.
Mo Qian took out his phone and quickly stepped onto the balcony to make the call.
Ji Wei sat quietly on the sofa waiting, her palms damp with sweat from nervousness.
Minutes passed, and twenty minutes later, the call was still ongoing.
As ti went on, Ji Wei felt waves of drowsiness wash over her. Her eyelids grew heavier until her head tilted to the side, and she fell asleep on the sofa.
When Mo Qian finished the call and walked back in, the sight of her sleeping figure made his lips curl into a faint smile. He approached her, lifted her gently into his arms, and carried her over to the bed.
As he pulled the quilt over her, she opened her eyes.
Ji Wei’s slender fingers tugged at his sleeve, her voice still tinged with sleepiness as she murmured, "Mo Qian, what did Doctor Shi say?"
"He said that if you only took the dication once, it shouldn’t be a problem." Mo Qian leaned down, brushing aside the stray strands of hair on her forehead. His gaze was tender as he replied, "Rest easy and get so sleep. I’ll join you after I shower."
At last, Ji Wei’s tense heart began to relax.
She let out a soft hum of acknowledgnt and quickly drifted back to sleep.
