"Alright, then it’s settled." Ji Wei was rely testing her. Seeing her serious and anxious manner, Ji Wei chuckled softly and nodded, "Tomorrow morning, co to Shanshui Manor to find ."

After finishing her words, Ji Wei turned and walked away, her arm hooked around Gu Moqian’s. However, after just a few steps, they bumped into Jin Qichuan, who had hurried over.
Behind Jin Qichuan followed a young boy with golden-dyed hair, pale skin, and strikingly handso features. He looked very much like a celebrity.

A glimr of gloom flashed in Jin Qichuan’s eyes, his facial muscles tense.
Behind him, Jin Xu casually stuck his hands in his pockets and walked up to Jin Xin.
He lifted his attractive eyes and scrutinized her from head to toe, teasingly saying, "Sis, even after being locked up by Gu Moqian, you’re still intact without missing any limbs. Mom was really worrying for nothing, insisting on dragging Big Brother back overnight."
Upon hearing Jin Xu’s words, Jin Xin lifted her eyes to look at Jin Qichuan. She noticed faint dark circles under his eyes, clearly caused by lack of sleep, and she felt a pang of guilt.
After an argunt with Jin Qichuan a few days ago, the siblings had been in a state of cold war. But at this mont, Jin Xin realized she might have gone too far—with all things considered, her older brother always protected her.
"Let’s go, I’m fine now." Although Jin Xin felt guilty, apologizing directly felt awkward. She gave Jin Qichuan a aningful look, then grabbed Jin Xu and headed out.

The next morning, Jin Xin arrived at Shanshui Manor on ti.
She had thought Ji Wei would treat her like a servant, but unexpectedly, Ji Wei was preparing to leave. Smiling, Ji Wei invited her to get into the car: "Co on, I’ll take you sowhere."
Jin Xin climbed into the car, surprised.
Not long after, the car stopped in front of an old residential building.

Before Jin Xin could figure it out, Ji Wei got out of the car and proceeded to walk directly towards the building’s staircase.

On the second floor, Ji Wei pulled out a key, unlocked a door, and stepped inside.
"What exactly are we here for?" Jin Xin couldn’t help voicing the question that was on her mind.
Ji Wei walked to the balcony and gestured for Jin Xin to remain silent.
Once it quieted down, the sound of a woman’s voice speaking in the neighboring apartnt clearly drifted into their ears.
It turned out the room next door was where Shen Yu and Zhu Ming’an lived.
At this mont, Shen Yu was complaining to Zhu Ming’an, her voice loud and grating: "What kind of life are we living now? We’re worse off than the servants we used to have at ho! Just earlier, I went to buy groceries and got scolded head-on by Granny Li downstairs, saying the noise we make shifting chairs and tables is disturbing her grandson’s sleep!
"This horrible apartnt has terrible soundproofing, and now it’s my fault? Utterly nonsensical! I am absolutely furious! It all boils down to that bitch Ji Wei ruining everything—it’s all her fault that we’ve fallen to this state!"
