"Actors in position, action!"
At the director’s command, the filming officially began.
This scene was still a confrontation between Xia Duoduo and Lin Qian.
Xia Duoduo sat in a wheelchair, while Lin Qian looked down at her condescendingly, an unbearably arrogant expression on her face.
"You filthy vixen, you think you’re worthy of seducing Haoran? Dream on!"
The character Lin Qian played hurled insults at Xia Duoduo, hands on her hips, her phoenix eyes sharply raised—completely showcasing her true personality.
"Are you done yelling?" Xia Duoduo played the childhood sweetheart of the male lead, secretly harboring unspoken feelings, though sadly, the male lead only saw her as a sister.
After an accident left her wheelchair-bound, the male lead cared for her for a while out of kindness, but this was misunderstood by the second female lead, who spread rumors labeling her a vixen.
"You dare talk back to , you shaless—!"
Lin Qian reached out to grab Xia Duoduo’s collar, intending to teach her a harsh lesson.
According to the script, Xia Duoduo was supposed to endure the abuse silently, swallowing her pride.
However, Ye Cheng had told her that this scene could be perford differently...
Constant submission and weakness would only make the character detestable to the audience.
In truth, Xia Duoduo had initially felt the sa way, but she hadn’t dared to attempt a change, fearing the director’s reprimand.
But Director Zhu had explicitly encouraged the actors to improvise, so what was there to be afraid of?
So, the mont Lin Qian’s hand reached out, Xia Duoduo suddenly countered by grabbing her wrist and forcefully pushing her forward!
Behind Lin Qian was the park’s little riverbank—she couldn’t keep her balance and rolled down the embanknt with a splash—
straight into the water.
"Help! It’s freezing! Soone, get out of here now!" Lin Qian flailed helplessly in the water, shouting in distress.
The nearby crew mbers quickly rushed over to rescue her.
"Achoo! Achoo..."
Wrapped in a towel, Lin Qian shivered from head to toe, her lips blue from the cold.
Seeing Xia Duoduo sitting nonchalantly in her wheelchair, staring at her coldly, Lin Qian was so furious it seed like smoke would pour from her ears.
"You bitch! That wasn’t in the script! You pushed into the water on purpose!" Lin Qian accused loudly.
Director Zhu quickly approached to comfort her and told his assistant, "Take Miss Lin back to the hotel to rest. Filming is suspended for today."
"Director Zhu~" Lin Qian stomped her foot and pouted as she complained, "This bitch changed the script without permission! She’s obviously holding a grudge because I slapped her earlier! Director Zhu, you have to stand up for —I’ve been wronged!"
Director Zhu indeed hadn’t expected Xia Duoduo to be so bold as to push Lin Qian into the water.
And with Lin Qian whining like this, her sweet complaints making his ears soften, Director Zhu imdiately turned a stern gaze toward Xia Duoduo and scolded, "Miss Xia, do you even want this role anymore? If not, then—"
What Director Zhu ant to say was, if not, then pack your things and get out!
But just as the words were about to co out of his mouth, he saw Ye Cheng approaching from a distance, and his tone abruptly changed to: "If not, then just go back to the hotel and rest too. It’s freezing cold; everyone’s working hard."
"Director Zhu!"
Lin Qian stared at the director in disbelief. "How can you just let that bitch go back and rest? She should be apologizing to imdiately! And her acting is so bad—she should rehearse this scene seven or eight more tis!"
Director Zhu pulled Lin Qian to the side, grabbing her soft hand and soothing her in a low voice, "You’re a renowned actress—why stoop to arguing with a no-na like her? Don’t be upset; it’ll make feel bad."
"I just can’t swallow this!" Lin Qian refused to yield, yanking her hand back as she glared viciously in Xia Duoduo’s direction.
Ye Cheng walked up to Xia Duoduo, stopping in front of her. His phoenix eyes cast a asured gaze on her before he spoke softly, "Not bad."
