Yesterday, the scene at the hospital entrance where Shen Yu twisted the facts was shockingly reported in full.

The report used scathing remarks to accuse Ji Wei of being arrogant and bullying the weak, going so far as to instruct her personal bodyguard to threaten a disabled elderly man into submission—a truly reprehensible act.

It further delved into Ji Wei’s past habits of being spoiled and overbearing, alleging that her character had long been questionable, and that such a person deserved the harsh condemnation of public opinion!

After reading the newspaper, Gu Moqian’s expression had turned as dark as the bottom of a pot.

"Have the newspapers recalled imdiately!" Gu Moqian ordered, his face cold and stern.

Ji Wei, noticing his anger, grew curious about what the report said. She took the newspaper to skim through it, but her expression remained calm.

"These reports are just the sa as the earlier scandals."

After multiple attempts to sar her reputation, she had started to grow immune.

However, this journalist nad Jin Xin, making conclusions about her being a bad person based solely on superficial observations, was far too reckless.

"Mr. Gu, this publication is under Dongsheng dia. Retracting the newspapers right away might be sowhat tricky," Chen Ke said. "Before coming here, I already contacted their general manager’s secretary, but haven’t received a response yet."

Hearing the na Dongsheng dia, Gu Moqian’s expression beca even colder.

"If that’s the case, then I’ll go there personally—"

Before Gu Moqian could finish speaking, Ji Wei stopped him and said, "Mo Qian, let handle this. That journalist is clearly distorting the facts. As the person involved, it’s more appropriate for to explain."

Although Ji Wei didn’t know who owned Dongsheng dia, if she let Gu Moqian step in on her behalf again, the author of the report would likely misinterpret her even more.

Seeing Gu Moqian hesitate, Ji Wei added, "Don’t worry, I’ll take Mary with . No one will harm ."

Gu Moqian was silent for a mont before finally nodding his agreent.

...

anwhile, in the office, Jin Xin was busy typing away when a colleague patted her on the shoulder. "Jin Xin, the deputy general manager wants to talk to you."

"Can’t you see I’m busy?" Jin Xin muttered, but she closed her laptop and reluctantly got up to head to the general manager’s office.

"What do you need for?"

Jin Xin leaned lazily against the doorway and asked.

Jin Qichuan stood with his hands behind his back by the floor-to-ceiling window. Hearing her question, he turned around with a look of anger on his face. "Why did you publish that kind of report? Do you know that person is your cousin-in-law!"

"So what if she’s my cousin-in-law?" Jin Xin retorted, displeased. "Family mbers who do wrong should still be exposed. I’m a journalist; I speak for the common people. Didn’t you support studying journalism back then? Now that I’ve co back to the country after finishing school, my first article exposes a wealthy socialite abusing her power—isn’t that satisfying?"

"Do you even know Ji Wei? Judging her character based on a single incident is far too one-sided!" Jin Qichuan scolded harshly. "I’ve already ordered the recall of this morning’s issued newspapers. I’ll bear the losses myself."

"Brother, are you insane?" Jin Xin exclaid in disbelief. "You’ve never gotten along with Gu Moqian—why are you helping his woman?"

"Because you’re in the wrong," Jin Qichuan said, suppressing his anger. "Before this triggers a major public uproar, my decision is entirely justified."

Jin Xin’s chest heaved with fury as she glared at him.

She hadn’t expected that her first article after returning to the country would be recalled by her own brother.

She had stayed up half the night writing it, and now all her efforts were completely denied!

"Brother, I’ve looked up to you as my role model since I was a kid. I thought you were soone with principles and integrity, but now I see you’re scared of Gu Moqian! I hate you!"

Tears welled up in Jin Xin’s eyes as she ran off angrily.

Jin Qichuan rubbed his temples in frustration.

This younger sister had truly been spoiled by the family.
