Qin Sixue supported Zhu Jianian as they left together.
Ji Wei watched their departing figures, a seed of doubt sprouting in her heart.
This Zhu Jianian had left far too decisively, making it impossible not to be on guard. Perhaps she was up to so mischief again.
As Ji Wei took her leave, the door of one of the dressing rooms creaked open, and a figure clad in a sleek black outfit slipped out, trailing in the direction Zhu Jianian had gone.

The number of guests kept increasing, most of them young people of Qin Sixue’s age group.
Ji Wei glanced at the ti; it was close to eight. Before leaving, Mo Qian had called her, saying sothing urgent had co up at the office and that he’d likely be late.
"Miss Ji, do you mind if I join you?" A sultry, seductive voice suddenly rang out.
Ji Wei lifted her gaze to see Zii holding a glass of champagne, one arm crossed over her chest as she appeared before her.
Zii was wearing a wine-red one-piece swimsuit tonight, draped with a matching shawl. Her bright red lips parted as she spoke, her wavy hair cascading over one shoulder, and her perfectly long, snow-white legs defying logic.
Ji Wei wasn’t particularly fond of her, but since Zii had spoken first, she gave a light nod in acknowledgnt.
"Thank you." Zii smiled charmingly and took the seat beside her.
Noticing Ji Wei lightly running her fingers along the rim of her wine glass, as though uninterested in initiating conversation, Zii smiled slyly and said, "Miss Ji, why are you alone tonight?"
"Isn’t Boss Zi the sa?" Ji Wei raised her eyes to glance at her indifferently.
Zii was montarily stunned but quickly covered her mouth with a laugh, every expression exuding an indescribable allure.
"Miss Ji, you must be mistaken." Zii lightly swirled the champagne in her hand, her smile never faltering.
Noticing the mild confusion in Ji Wei’s gaze, Zii gestured toward the crowd at a tall, striking figure, her tone tinged with pride: "I’m not alone. The man I like is here as well."
Ji Wei turned her head and saw Ye Cheng and Xi Nanfeng standing there talking.
Xi Nanfeng tried to sling an arm around Ye Cheng’s shoulder, only to be coldly brushed off.
What imdiately caught Ji Wei’s eye about Ye Cheng was his formal suit paired with his devilishly handso face. He couldn’t help but stand out in the crowd.
Ji Wei wasn’t particularly surprised.
A man like Ye Cheng was indeed hard to picture in nothing but swim trunks.
She averted her gaze, her eyes tinted with a trace of surprise. Since when did Ye Cheng and Zii beco so close?
Zii seed to grasp her thoughts at once and stood with a smile.
"I assu Miss Ji hasn’t forgotten our last conversation? I said before, even in fair competition, I won’t lose. Please let your friend know not to underestimate —I’m the strongest rival in love."
With that, Zii sauntered toward Ye Cheng, her enticing figure drawing lingering glances from the surrounding n.
Ji Wei stared at the champagne before her, suddenly feeling anxious for Xia Duoduo.
Falling for a man like Ye Cheng must be exhausting.
Nevertheless, she would unconditionally support Duoduo.
With that thought, Ji Wei decided to call Duoduo. She had returned to Heng City for filming—Ji Wei wondered how things were going.
But when she reached for her phone, she realized she’d left her bag in the dressing room.
Just as she was about to get up to retrieve it, a muscular man in swimming trunks blocked her path.
"Miss Ji, would you do the honor of sharing a drink?"
The muscular man raised his champagne glass, arching an eyebrow, his smile laden with mischief.
Ji Wei sat back down in her chair, lifting her gaze to coldly size him up. "Since you know who I am, you should also know whose wife I am. Daring to hit on —aren’t you afraid my husband will tear you limb from limb?"
