After a year, Ji Yunli finally found the rural ho where Wanfei was staying.

Wanfei refused to go back with him and warned him that if he continued to pester her, she would disappear from Rongcheng forever, ensuring he could never find her again.

Ji Yunli was frightened; he dared not force her to return but visited her every few days.

Ti flowed gently like this. Little Wei had grown into a clever and mischievous child, her face resembling Wanfei by six parts, while the remaining four parts were from that man.

Back then, Little Wei called him Uncle Ji.

Little Wei and Ji Yunli shared the closest bond. This uncle always brought her beautiful dresses, delicious candies, and novelties that none of the other children in the village had ever seen.

One day, Ji Yunli even bought her a pink sports car.

Wanfei couldn’t help but lightly reproach him, "She’s still so small, why are you buying her a car?"

Ji Yunli hoisted Little Wei onto his shoulders, laughing joyfully, his eyes filled with a loving glow. "She’s my daughter. I want to give her the best of everything. One day, the entire Ji Family will belong to Little Wei."

Wanfei was deeply moved and couldn’t speak for a long ti.

She understood that, in Little Wei’s heart, Ji Yunli was no different from a father.

All these years, Ji Yunli had never given up trying to convince Old Madam Ji.

Seeing her son frequently visiting the village and remaining deeply attached to that woman, while rejecting all the won she introduced to him, Old Madam Ji finally felt disheartened.

"Enough, enough. Since he truly loves that woman, let him marry her then."

A few months later, Ji Yunli held Rongcheng’s grandest wedding to bring Wanfei into his ho.

From the mont he t Wanfei to the ti she officially beca his wife, nearly nine years had passed.

That day, Ji Yunli was as happy as a child. Wanfei looked at the man beside her, her smile gentle and radiant. During the ceremony, the two kissed, with their daughter Little Wei as the most adorable flower girl.

The photograph froze this mont forever.

After the wedding, the couple remained as sweet as ever, like the happiest lovers in the world.

However, their joy was short-lived. The unrelenting Japanese ca again, disturbing their peaceful life.

The Japanese threatened Wanfei, saying that if she refused to leave with them, they would slaughter the entire Ji Family, leaving no survivors!

Wanfei was about to agree when Ji Yunli suddenly rushed out and took her away.

The Japanese tried to kill Ji Yunli, but Wanfei intercepted them, bravely charging forward to take the bullet for him.

The bullet pierced through Wanfei’s chest, and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.

"Let the Ji Family go... this has nothing to do with them... spare them..." Wanfei weakly pleaded to the Japanese leader.

Ji Yunli’s world instantly turned bleak and desolate as he held the blood-soaked Wanfei in his arms, utterly devastated.

After making a phone call, the Japanese leader coldly gestured for everyone to leave.

Wanfei passed away.

Ji Yunli, crushed, spent his days clinging to Wanfei’s photographs, crying endlessly.

Until one day, Uncle Zhao urgently inford him that the young lady was missing!

Ji Yunli finally reacted. It struck him that during this ti, he had forgotten to care for his daughter.

Now, Little Wei was gone...

Ji Yunli mobilized everyone to search for Little Wei. Three days later, they found her at the rural ho where Wanfei had once resided.

Little Wei had been unconscious the entire ti. She was sent to the hospital for ergency treatnt, and when she finally regained consciousness, she had lost her mory.

According to the elderly woman from the rural household, Little Wei had fallen down a hill behind the mountain and injured her head.

She could no longer rember Wanfei, Ji Yunli, or the Ji Family.
