Seeing Mo Qian wholeheartedly focused on peeling crab at for her, Ji Wei felt deeply touched. She picked up a spoon nearby, scooped up a piece of atball, and held it out to him.
Mo Qian froze for a second, then opened his mouth.
Watching the man eat the food she fed him, Ji Wei’s eyes curved in a sweet smile.
A packed lunch turned into a mont of sweetness between the two of them, so sweet that Chen Ke, the third wheel, couldn’t stand it anymore. After being force-fed a handful of "dog food," he quickly found an excuse to leave.
Looking at the emptied lunch boxes in front of her, Ji Wei leaned back on the sofa and rubbed her stomach, unwilling to move because she had accidentally eaten too much.
Mo Qian cleaned up the boxes and glanced at her. "Get up and walk around, or you might end up with indigestion."
Ji Wei got up, holding her water cup, while looking at the man’s handso face and sighed, "Mo Qian, if you keep feeding like this every day, I’m definitely going to turn into a ball."
Amused by her exaggeration, Mo Qian curved his lips in a smile. "That’s fine. It’s my responsibility to fatten you up and keep you healthy."
Ji Wei had just brought her cup up for a sip when she nearly spit out her water upon hearing this.
Once she regained her composure, she shook her head earnestly. "That won’t do. I still need to lose weight."
Mo Qian gave her a once-over. "You’re already skinny as a stick. What weight are you trying to lose?"
Ji Wei: "..."
She had obviously gained a few pounds recently.
Still, hearing him say that made her secretly happy. What woman doesn’t like hearing a man tell her she’s slender?
At that mont, Mo Qian walked over to the desk and noticed a corner of a file bag sitting there. He raised his brows slightly and asked, "Did you bring this?"
Ji Wei finally rembered the purpose of her visit.
She walked over, took out the file from the bag, cleared her throat with a cough, and bent over ceremoniously to hand it to Mo Qian. "Mr. Gu, I’d like to trouble you to review and sign this docunt."
Her overly serious deanor made Mo Qian burst into laughter.
His smile deepened as he took the file, skimd through it briefly, and picked up a pen to sign his na.
"So, you ca all the way to Gu Headquarters just to have sign this?" He handed the signed file back to her.
Ji Wei shook her head. "Technically, the docunt was supposed to be signed by Vice President Liu, but he deliberately made things difficult for ."
Upon hearing this, Mo Qian seed to understand. "So, you set that old pervert’s hair on fire?"
"You knew he was a creep, too?" Ji Wei was surprised. "His eyes are always lecherous, giving people goosebumps. And he even insists on having two female interns accompany him for als. How can soone like that work at Gu Family? It lowers the overall quality of the employees."
"Did he try to take advantage of you?" Mo Qian’s expression darkened instantly.
"He didn’t succeed." Ji Wei shook her head.
Mo Qian’s gaze softened slightly, though his voice was still heavy. "If it weren’t for the fact that he had worked alongside my grandfather in the past, had contributed to Gu Family, and was an old-tir, firing him would have been the least of his troubles."
Ji Wei understood.
It seed that Vice President Liu had been decent when he was younger, but as he aged, he grew more shaless, now reaping what he had sown.
"Mo Qian, is there anything you’re bad at? Even your handwriting looks so elegant." Ji Wei gazed down at the signature on the docunt, bold and gracefully flowing, and couldn’t help but admire it.
"Of course there is." Mo Qian raised an eyebrow and looked at her.
"What is it? Crab allergy doesn’t count—that’s just a physical trait."
Mo Qian reached out, his slender fingers lightly caressing her flawless cheek. His gaze followed his fingertips, and his thin lips parted slightly: "You—are my weakness."
Ji Wei’s breath hitched as she stared blankly at the strikingly handso man in front of her, unable to gather her thoughts.
