Ji Wei finally couldn’t hold back. She stood up, pushed open the door, and walked out.
When she arrived at the eting room, she found that only a secretary was tidying up the eting materials. Surprised, she asked, "Excuse , has the eting finished?"
The secretary was startled to see Ji Wei, but quickly smiled and said, "Yes, everyone has gone for lunch. Does Miss Ji need anything?"
It seed the secretary was still unaware of her identity. Ji Wei smiled and replied, "I’m the director of the West City Project Division. I need Vice President Liu to sign sothing. Do you know where he’s gone for lunch?"
The secretary was even more shocked.
The prestigious eldest daughter of the Ji Family was actually the person in charge of the Gu Family’s project division!
How had none of the other colleagues ntioned this before? This was explosive news!
The secretary was stunned for quite a while before answering, "Oh, Vice President Liu likes to eat at a nearby private dining restaurant called Taoran Residence."
"All right, thank you."
After thanking the secretary, Ji Wei turned and left the company.
She didn’t want to waste ti hanging around here. She planned to find Vice President Liu, get the signature, and go straight back to the project division.
In a private room at Taoran Residence.
Vice President Liu was eating lunch with two young and beautiful female interns. The table was covered with dishes, and several bottles of wine had been opened — both white and red.
Ji Wei arrived at the door of the private room and, after hearing the laughter and banter inside between n and won, couldn’t help but frown.
Needing female company even just to have lunch, laughing so indulgently — this Vice President Liu was likely no good.
Ji Wei didn’t hesitate and knocked on the door directly.
Assuming it was the waiter, Vice President Liu didn’t even think before speaking: "Co in."
Ji Wei pushed the door open and entered.
Vice President Liu and the two female interns were montarily stunned.
"Who are you? Did you walk into the wrong room? Get out, get out!" Vice President Liu, already drunk with flushed cheeks and dazed eyes, looked at Ji Wei with great impatience at being interrupted from his fun.
Just monts ago, he had been about to kiss one of the interns on the cheek.
One of the interns quickly recognized Ji Wei, her face changing drastically. She imdiately struggled out of Vice President Liu’s lecherous grip and stamred nervously, "M-Miss Ji, what brings you here?"
That earlier scene had been witnessed entirely by Mr. Gu’s fiancée. They were dood!
The female intern’s heart pounded with anxiety.
When Vice President Liu heard her call her Miss Ji, he squinted his eyes and took another closer look at Ji Wei. Ah, she did seem a bit familiar.
"Does Miss Ji need sothing from ?" Vice President Liu asked, his tone becoming slightly more polite.
Ji Wei glanced at the two interns in ultrashort skirts, who had been tightly clinging to Vice President Liu just monts ago, her expression turning a bit stern.
Noticing her cold scrutiny, the two interns grew even more uneasy. Panicking, they scrambled to stand up from their seats next to Vice President Liu.
"Vice President Liu, we’ve had enough to eat, so we’ll head back to the company now. There’s still a lot of work we haven’t finished."
With that, the two interns imdiately walked toward the door.
Seeing this, Vice President Liu called out anxiously, "Hey, don’t leave! There’s still red wine left to drink! Didn’t you say you’d keep company until I was satisfied?"
The two interns ignored Vice President Liu’s words completely and disappeared out the door in the blink of an eye.
Now, only Ji Wei and Vice President Liu were left in the private room.
Ji Wei took out a report and presented it to Vice President Liu. "Vice President Liu, hello. I’m Ji Wei, the director of the project division. This report has already been sent to you by my assistant, but you still haven’t signed it. So today, I’ve co personally to deliver it to you. Please sign it."
As she spoke, Ji Wei handed him a pen.
Recently, Vice President Liu had been busy cozying up to the two interns and hadn’t paid any attention to work matters. He hadn’t even opened the email that Ling Ling had sent him.
Now, hearing Ji Wei identify herself as the project director — essentially one of his subordinates — he vented the frustration from the interns’ sudden departure onto her. "It’s lunchti right now. I don’t talk about work during breaks."
