Xia Duoduo helped Aunt Lan put the dishes into the kitchen, and Jin Xu followed in.
Aunt Lan glanced at the young couple, understandingly said, "I’ll go see if there’s anything else to tidy up."
She didn’t want to be a third wheel in the kitchen.
As soon as Aunt Lan left, Jin Xu grew bold and directly hugged Xia Duoduo from behind.
Xia Duoduo was standing in front of the sink washing dishes when she suddenly felt a tightness around her waist, followed by a slight weight on one shoulder. She turned her head and saw Jin Xu’s smiling eyes.
Like a child begging for attention, the man hugged her gently, swaying her slightly, and praised her endlessly: "Darling, you’re so virtuous. eting you is the luckiest thing in my life."
Xia Duoduo sweetly pursed her lips, "You and your sweet talk, did you eat too much candy as a kid?"
"Do you like my sweet talk? Want a taste?"
As he spoke, Jin Xu leaned in closer, attempting to kiss her.
Xia Duoduo’s face flushed red in an instant. She quickly turned her head to dodge his incoming kiss, gently scolding, "Quit ssing around. This is your house; it would be bad if soone saw."
"What are you worried about? Ho is supposed to be the most relaxing place," Jin Xu insisted, and in the end, successfully gave her a peck on the lips.
She gave him a playful glare, "With you teasing like this, these dishes might not get washed until tomorrow morning."
Although she complained with her words, her heart felt warm and sweet.
"No, they won’t. I’ll help you!"
Jin Xu promised confidently, and he got right to work. He grabbed a matching apron, tied it on, rolled up his sleeves, and said earnestly, "You do the initial washing, and I’ll rinse."
Initially, Xia Duoduo was a bit doubtful of him, worried he might accidentally drop and break a dish.
Turns out, Jin Xu actually had a talent for kitchen chores.
He cleaned and arranged all the dishes efficiently and thodically. Soon, he was even doing her share of the work.
Xia Duoduo tried to step in a few tis but couldn’t find a chance, so she could only do other small tasks on the side.
When Aunt Lan ca in and saw the spotless, orderly kitchen, she was greatly surprised.
"Second Young Master, did you really wash the dishes?"
Aunt Lan saw Jin Xu untying the apron and still couldn’t quite believe it.
"Aunt Lan, even you find it incredible, right?"
Jin Xu, quite proud, pulled Xia Duoduo close, letting her lean against him, "It’s all thanks to my girlfriend’s excellent guidance!"

This Miss Xia didn’t seem as bad as Madam painted her to be.
After finishing up in the kitchen, the two of them watched TV in the living room for a while. Seeing that the wall clock was approaching nine in the evening, Jin Xu leaned close to Xia Duoduo’s ear and whispered, "Duoduo, shall we head upstairs? Take a shower first and then..."
The rest was expressed with a aningful glance.
She understood imdiately.
Her hands instinctively clenched on her lap. Was he suggesting that again?

She replied softly.

Just as they were about to head upstairs, they were called from the study by Jin Qichuan.
"Xiao Xu, I have sothing to talk to you about."
