Zii walked into the hospital room and saw this scene.
Her nose tingled again, and she reached out to hug her daughter from behind. Zhenzhen turned her head, seeing her mother’s red eyes, she anxiously spoke, "Mommy, why are you crying?"
Zii quickly shook her head, "Mommy’s not crying, so sand just got into my eyes."
"Zhenzhen will blow it away for Mommy."
Ye Xiaozhen tilted her pink little face up, puckered her lips, and gently blew into Zii’s eyes.
Zii’s heart was almost lted by her daughter’s actions.
After losing her parents, she once thought she was the most unfortunate person.
But now, she had a man who would risk everything for her, and a cute, sensible daughter.
Thinking of it this way, she seed like a life winner.
Unable to help herself, Zii hugged her daughter tighter and kissed her soft cheek repeatedly, a smile appeared in her eyes.
When Ye Cheng woke up, he saw Zii holding their daughter, quietly sitting by his bedside keeping watch. The warm yellow light bathed the mother and daughter, serene and beautiful.
His pale, handso face unconsciously broke into a smile.
To open his eyes and see the two won he loved most, how wonderful.
Zii noticed the person on the bed awaken, she first froze, then rembered he couldn’t see with one eye, and her emotions couldn’t hold up imdiately.
She put down her daughter, "I’ll go get you a glass of water."
After speaking hurriedly, she got up and walked to the table by the window, pretending to pour water.
But she just couldn’t control her tears; her nose was sore and tight, forcing her to cover her mouth with a hand, desperately suppressing her sobs.
"Daddy, Uncle Doctor said you’re hurt. Does it hurt?"
"Not one bit of pain, Zhenzhen, don’t worry."
Behind her ca the conversation of the father and daughter, hearing it made Zii’s emotions even more agonized.
At that mont, she wasn’t able to act as if nothing was wrong and turn around.
Even though the cup was almost overflowing, she still stood there, afraid to turn her head.
Ye Cheng quickly noticed Zii’s abnormality, her slightly trembling shoulders caught his eye, and his gaze instantly deepened.
He slowly sat up, removed the IV needle from his hand, and lifted the blanket.
"Daddy..."
Zhenzhen saw him about to get out of bed, slightly perplexed, she spoke.
Ye Cheng pointed in Zii’s direction, then gestured his daughter to stay quiet.
Zhenzhen had a knowing look, nodding with a bit of gleeful mischief in her beautiful eyes.
Ye Cheng’s body was still sowhat weak; he supported himself on the bed’s edge, standing up straight. Then he lifted his foot, step by step approaching Zii.
Behind him, both father and daughter were keenly quiet, making no sound. Zii finally noticed the excessive silence in the hospital room, just as she was about to turn her head, a pair of arms suddenly reached out from behind and hugged her.
"What’s wrong?" The familiar scent of the man lingered, his deep, hoarse voice rang at her ear.
Zii trembled all over, initially wanting to quickly hide the emotions on her face, but it was too late.
After a few seconds of silence, she simply turned around, facing the man head-on.
Ye Cheng’s eyes were excessively beautiful.
She carefully discerned the difference between his two eyes, her heart hurt like a thorn was stuck in it.
Ye Cheng saw her reddened eyes and the still-wet tear stains on her beautiful face, his gaze startled, he imdiately asked nervously, "What happened?"
Zii did not answer him, instead she suddenly reached out to cover his right eye, her voice trembling as she asked, "A Cheng, can you see ?"
Ye Cheng was stunned for a mont, then suddenly realized the aning in her words.
His body imdiately stiffened there, his throat dry, unable to speak.
