Zii’s body involuntarily took a step back, as guilt and pain seized her heart. She raised her hand to cover her face.

Ye Cheng stood there quietly; how could he not feel the depth of Zii’s pain?

It felt like soone was stabbing his heart with a knife, even more painful than when they first broke up. If possible, he would rather be the one who was blind instead of her.

Ye Cheng’s face was pale yet handso, emotions surging in his phoenix eyes. He remained silent for a mont before slowly walking over and wrapping Zii in his arms.

At first, Zii struggled endlessly, but the man held her tightly. After realizing resistance was futile, she gradually cald down, buried her head in Ye Cheng’s chest, and cried silently.

Ye Cheng could hear her extrely faint and controlled sobs, feeling increasingly distressed.

The tis Zii cried in front of him could be counted on one hand; her personality wasn’t that of a girl who often sobbed.

Whenever he saw her tears, Ye Cheng would feel unbearably sad, wishing he could bear all her suffering for her.

The man’s hand gently patted her back, comforting her silently and tenderly. When Zii had finished crying and her mood gradually stabilized, she retreated from his embrace and turned her head, avoiding his gaze.

Her eyes must be terribly swollen and red from crying so much.

Ye Cheng’s phoenix eyes were full of compassion. He held Zii’s hand again, speaking softly: "Let stay with you, no matter how long this darkness lasts, let go through it with you."

Zii bit her lip, bowed her head without speaking, her shoulders still slightly trembling.

"I’m not pitying you," Ye Cheng continued. He stepped forward and wiped away the tear stains on her cheeks, "The woman I love is facing life’s toughest challenge; I absolutely cannot stand by and do nothing."

Zii’s body trembled.

Did she just hear wrong?

Ye Cheng said she was the woman he loved...

Zii was stunned, tears still hanging on her long lashes. She involuntarily turned to look at Ye Cheng, feeling both happy and sad.

If only this confession had happened before she lost her sight, she would have been so happy she might have fainted.

Suddenly, she felt a softness on her lips as the man’s fresh scent enveloped her. A gentle kiss descended upon her red lips. Her mind went blank for a mont, then she heard a moving sentence from the man: "I love you, A zi."

Ye Cheng’s voice was gentle and deep, like the most beautiful celestial music.

Upon hearing that long-missed nickna, Zii’s tears swiftly fell.

...

A few days later, the two boarded a flight to Country M.

On the plane, Zii and Ye Cheng sat side by side, fingers intertwined.

This flight was very long, nearly ten hours. Once the plane stabilized, Zii leaned on Ye Cheng’s shoulder and suddenly said: "A Cheng, do you rember last ti? I was on the sa flight with you."

"Yes, I rember." The man’s voice was low and tender.

That ti, Ye Cheng was taking an artist to participate in the Venice Film Festival. After boarding the plane, he saw Zii was also there, and coincidentally, their seats were right next to each other.

"Actually, I wasn’t on a business trip that day, I just found an excuse to spend so ti with you on the plane," Zii said.

"Yes, I guessed that."

Ye Cheng’s response surprised Zii greatly. She sat up slightly and asked: "Then why didn’t you expose on the spot?"

"Why would I expose you?" Ye Cheng raised his eyebrows, and replied mildly.

Zii was very surprised, "Did you not hate anymore at that ti?"
